  1. Seems that way. Zone behind the sticks and give up the 1st too often. Low risk of the big play, and that is Frazier's motus operandi. Taron was so weak on that run play getting off a block. Just got pushed around.
  2. Dane Jackson Cannot get his head around again even when playing zone and the receiver in front of him. And Frazier not adjusting to those timed lobs on the out routes in the flat.
  3. A team does not need a dome for bad weather if they are built and have an OC that can switch gears to take the weather into account, but Allen in a dome is a different creature. Dorsey stubbornly keeps calling a finesse game, and we have been fortunate to have not turned it over on sacks or WR losing the handle. Our luck with opposing team fumbles bouncing back into their arms seems to be holding firm. I don't want us to give up on passes especially to our TE who is a mismatch for their LBs and Safeties, but we need to stay committed to pounding Singletary and Cook under that wide nine. I could see us breaking one with Cook in this weather.
  4. Our D is playing well, we just need to play smart and grind out another score.
  5. Pick your holding play. And there is a throw to your TE.
  6. These refs suck. Blinders on for the Jets... and ticky tacky holds wiping out any positives. Ed got home Gunner!
  7. Epenesa and Boogie struggle setting the edge. The Jets often run outside when they see them out there. They just get a bit high in the pass rush OR just struggle getting off their block. Groot with those long arms and great hands steers blockers while keeping them from getting their hands on him. Once he diagnoses a play on his side he just ditches his block and makes plays. You don't see a lot of teams running to his side.
  8. Beane targets a guard in free agency in Saffold who's forte is run blocking for an OC who's brain cramps everytime he is forced to call run plays. C'mon Dorsey wake the "f" up.
  9. Oliver gets his short arms on a QB again and can't bring him down. He is disruptive, but I swear I have never seen a DL player get shedded so often after getting home.
  10. Ken does that. Running working in the rain, go empty and 3 and out. At least wait till the Jets load the box to give up on running. Frustrating as an OC so far.
  11. Bam Knight has some juice and helps fuel their outside runs. The Bills struggled with containing the outside runs against GB, and then the Jets right after and those teams have coaching connections. I say contain, but also a lot of bad angles, missed tackles, or broken arm tackles by players at the second level coming up to fill. The Bills have been more disciplined with their fundamentals, BUT don't expect the Jets to give up on the run unless we run away with the score. They were not getting much traction at all against the Vikes, but stuck with it late in the game and finally broke a long one. Expect the same. How tightly the refs call hold on those outside reach blocks will be a factor too. Our ends may need to plead their case early and throw in some theatrics. Garrett Wilson is good and the Bills are still looking for that lock down corner they have not had this season. The Jets LBs and Safeties can be exploited in the short middle of the field, but that is an area that Allen rarely focuses on since the departure of Beasley, Crowder on IR, and no legit slot WR emerging. They would be ripe for dump offs, but Allen hates doing that. If he can dump a few to Cook he could have some big gainers. Overall, if Allen takes care of the ball and the Bills stay committed to the run to check the rush, I think we win.
  12. Raiders - the art of the choke.
  13. They jumped Offside on a punt too... just a lot of undisciplined penalties. Carr earlier in the game drove them all the way down to the door step and lobbed that 5 yrd pass into the waiting arms of defenders in the EZ. Other than playing up the Mayfield angle, that was a hard game to watch.
  14. Yeah, his arm was looking like trash till that last drive and he started dropping dimes. The refs let some pretty obvious holds go on that Rams RT, but some dumber Raider penalties kept those drives alive and let the Rams back in. Baker is streaky, but good for him pulling out that win.
  15. Baker plays better off script in the hurry up. That catch down the sideline was pretty sweet. I don't really have any hate for Mayfield, just glad he got the Browns and we got Allen.
  16. Rams offensive line is hot garbage. Baker's throws just don't have a lot on them and his sideline throws are terrible. Maybe just used to Allen's cannon.
  17. Milano is good, but I don't think he is good enough to hang with Kelce w/o help. Kelce is a special talent. He runs routes as crisply as any receiver yet has that strength, size, and height to outmuscle DBs and safeties for contested balls. He has a better catching radius and softer hands than Knox and has also mastered that little shove or pushoff in and out of his breaks to create enough separation to be a consistent target. Also, for reasons I cannot fathom, defenses lose track of him - especially down in the red zone. It is like he is coated in radar-absorbing material. You cannot let him get off the line cleanly or he will just run by folks, find the soft areas in your zone schemes on schedule where Mahomes will hit him. You have to jam him and disrupt the timing and the route first and foremost. Then do your best bracketing him in coverage and making him earn every catch. Take your flags and your lumps along the way, but probably worth it down the stretch in a game just to keep him and Mahomes off their game.
  18. Not sure either. Having that tweener S/LB kind of player that has the skills to actually skate with Kelce 1:1 would be rare. More likely they found ways to effectively double him and disrupt his timing and routes. But yeah, would need someone who can break down that film. Either way, something Frazier's staff is sure to do.
  19. One thing is they took Kelce away for the most part and stripped the ball from him on a key play down the stretch. No catches in the first half, and just 56 yards in the second with a fumble. Most teams just accept that Kelce is going to get his 100+ yards, but he is Mahomes safety blanket. No matter who the QB is, you take away their top target that they lean on, they get very uncomfortable and make mistakes.
  20. All things considered, Von has been pretty durable. Some precaution to get a healthy Von back next season is the smart play.
