Well if you think I’m giving “too much credit” to the Steelers, you’re certainly giving too much credit to Kenny Pickett. We didn’t in any way come close to “beating them badly” in the playoffs. Turnovers were the only reason we won. Defense was sieve-like at times. Maybe you watched another game. We still win even if Pickett was in and “showed up” instead of Rudolph but it wasn’t the brake beater you’re making it out to be… Maybe down the road he’ll have some success like Baker has done; multiple changes of scenery to final land another starting job and it clicks. Don’t see it personally. Neither did the Steelers. Neither did their fans. Neither did a lot of the pre-draft pundits. To each their own I guess.

Albert Breer reported before the trade that prior to the Wilson signing Pickett said he was open to competition for the job. The minute Wilson was signed he cancelled on a workout with the WR’s. Went silent and was apparently pissed they were making Wilson the starter and going back on it being a “competition”. They need to move on from Pickett. He isn’t/wasn’t the answer. Smart move instead of holding on for something that probably won’t happen. Wilson isn’t it either but he’s proven success in the league and is experienced. That’s all Pittsburgh need to be even more competitive. Maybe Fields is the answer? Who knows. Going by Chicago’s tenure, probably not either but at least they’re trying to fix solutions. Can’t ever fault them for that.

The agreement was that Buffalo could match the deal right… They essentially had last dibs on a contract was the report… Maybe he knew Buffalo wouldn’t match it and didn’t waste their time. I mean let’s say he does and Jacksonville say “never mind”. Loses out on potentially his last big pay day. No way were we ever paying that price for him.

Eh. He’s about the same in terms of solely quarterback play to Wilson. Wouldn’t say better but definitely not worse. The best part to his game is what you specified; he’s an excellent athlete.

That’s awesome and I’m with you on the preferred scenario. Hopefully if the trade up doesn’t happen and value is limited @ 28 they execute something similar.

Oh. I’m not advocating anything is false or true. But like the old adage, where’s there’s smoke there’s fire. Again both parties have their parts to play. Not to judge but they don’t exactly seem like absolutely homely women who devote their life to being a great wife, mother and friend to their family. A lot of them seem to propagate toxic situations. Throw that in with someone who may not be able to handle their emotions or anger soundly and it’s an absolute recipe for disaster. Wonder how often they goad the situation to escalate to regrettable or detrimental events. I’ve had a few friends over the years who have done their share of wrong in marriages but their wife’s poked a bear in arguments for years for hours on end when there was a dispute. Eventually to the point where one of them was beating him up regularly in those same arguments and he ultimately and unfortunately slapped her. Dude got arrested, dragged through the mud and is paying out the nose for child support and alimony now. Sometimes a women can make things appear worse and different than they are.

Let’s hope they do. Think the majority of the FB wants that to happen.

Agree on all accounts. I can’t see any of those premier X receivers lasting until 28. The ones that are more realistic of the top group; Mitchell & Thomas Jr. are probably gone. Trade back and picking up a 3rd rounder is indeed probably the smartest play. In saying that, there will be a quality defensive player to fall a little if that’s the drafting scenario ahead… So they likely take the value there if they like them.

Totally. Not absolutely enamored with Field but he is an improvement over what we have had the past few years. Anyway, they wouldn’t have traded him to use for a 6th rounder. The play time to increase the pick was their selling point. That would never have happened here unless our worst nightmare materialized…. 🤐 They got the first draft of this season’s script… 🤩
