  1. It's a shame that this gets lost in a 2000 post thread because this board insists on over condensing everything. So I'll give it a quick TTT. Great job from Jon Gruden. Honestly, the Raiders should probably just re-hire him, AGAIN, for next year.
  2. I think the fans realize all the contributions from everyone on offense at this point. Ty, Knox, Spencer, Hollins, etc. They're all appreciated and have stood out at various points in the season. The defense is harder to have that kind of appreciation for. Until last week, our 3rd and long defense was so poor all year, it's difficult to be excited about anyone in the secondary. Granted there have been a lot of injuries, and now we've got the entire band back together! the opposite of what we rolled into the post season with last year. Give me one more game to start appreciating those guys!
  3. Not cool. you don't put much thought into this until your team loses a home game and gets stuck on the wrong end of travel advantages. The NFL is talking about adding an entire division in europe, which will happen in time, no doubt. These owners will probably pocket nearly a half million dollars each from the move. but the quality of the game and the league will not be improved. no doubt about that.
  4. I would like to see a picture of this beat to sh!t ax cover 🤣
  5. This is a very good point. Basketball can be turned into a 1 on 1 game for many moments. Football different in that regard. Not that Josh Allen doesn't play the MJ role quite often.
  6. I was just coming in to say this. It doesn't do something for everyone, but there are guys out there constantly looking for fuel.
  7. okay. I guess it depends on how long you consider the list of his best games ever to be.
  8. I don't think " a couple of his best games ever were from his rookie season," but I agree with everything else. It was obvious from his rookie season that he had "it." His second season, even with the mediocre stats, you knew he was gonna be a cam newton at the very least. and then his 3rd season showed us what a gift from heaven he was.
  9. Trying to analyze draft picks is a fools errand for anyone who isn't an expert. It's also a fool's errand for the experts, in many cases. I realized that for a long time, and such, when Josh was picked by us, I was neither irritated or excited. The thing about Josh that still stands out to me is that despite seeming to be a very obvious project, he was still projected to go anywhere between 1 and 11. Usually the guys who have all the athletic ability but are still very raw, get dropped down to between 2 and 6th round. What stood out so much about Josh that had him slotted for one of those very high spots despite the rawness? For example, this guy on NE who torched our second team. Strong arm. Good runner. Has those good attributes but was dropped down to 6th round because of accuracy issues, etc. People saw something in Josh that has never been seen in a PROJECT type guy before. Or am I wrong. Has such a raw qb talent ever been projected and picked so high?
  10. That's a strong man right there. wow the guys who made all pro at that spot must be something else. maybe got the edge from less pre-snap penalties?
  11. There's a reason Tony Romo makes 20 million per year. He's probably a lot smarter than Smiley. Romo would most likely be a really good to great coach if that's what he wanted to do.
  12. And I believe we have the second most dead cap in the league.
  13. for anybody who hasn't realized from the past 6 weeks, we will need to score over 40 every week.
  14. and look what that's done for Lamar Jackson.
  15. Vrabel is good but hard to say how good. He got to ride prime Derrick henry for several years. and if Josh Mcadaniels is brought in to run the offensive, im starting to wonder if he has always been quite a bit overrated. Tom Brady didn't exactly fall off a cliff without him.
  16. as one of my friends said, "Herbert went full Peterman" yesterday. on a side note, games like that always remind me of the time Romo threw 5 INTs against us, lost a fumble. and we somehow managed lose. Thanks a lot Trent!
  17. i missed his first few games, but when i finally saw him near midseason, i was wondering what all the chatter about him sucking was all about. he was fine. Collinsworth amuses me. Aikman is terrible. I just don't understand where his value comes from. At least collinsworth has a personality.
  18. MVP and all pro don't have to be the same, just as O player of the year doesn't have to be MVP. In fact, I would think o player of the year is more similar to ALL PRO criteria than MVP. I think allen getting so many votes is actually a good sign.
  19. Ive never seen an episode. For those of you who watch, would you approve of the Bills being featured, or do you think it's too big of a distraction? A Steelers fan friend of mine was complaining about the show.
  20. Those guys loved each other. Salisbury has gone on about what great friends they are. they continued to work together on each other's shows for years after their espn show ended.
  21. Spags has come out in the past week and said he still wants to be an HC.
  22. it was a bit of a weak sack, but if you watch it in slow-mo, it's apparent that it's von sack. i thought it was extremely questionable watching live. went back in multiple times, and when it posted to youtube, i watched at half speed.
  23. Never gonna be a no.1. Will play out his rookie contract and leave. Hopefully we get something in the realm of Gabe at his best times from him. Hope im wrong.
  24. it was his sack. von grabbed him and he fell backwards into epenesa
  25. i thought for sure they were hiring vrabel last year, but i think they had basically promised mayo he was the head coach in waiting prior to firing BB.
