  1. Given the volume of threads & posters over the past 2 seasons who question his franchise qb long term viability, I’m not sure how saying “everyone” gives him a free pass, as a blanket statement, is even remotely supportable.
  2. Grasping at straws to undercut the overall strength of our roster---I like that's where we're at now!
  3. You are right, but I would optimistically point out that none of those teams are looking forward to their game with us as a penciled-in W on their schedule; to the contrary, we are more than likely looked on as a tough "out" who could take the win just as easily after the final horn. I do take some comfort in that!
  4. It's all in good fun man--I wouldn't want you to stop piping up around here--at least you're consistent and willing to argue substance (even if you're wrong ) as compared to drive-by posting then disappearing if the hot take is challenged.
  5. There will always be covid opt outs and fallouts though to provide a ready disclaimer in the event we do very well this year, right?
  6. A bridge too far . I refer you back to my post concerning the overall strength of the Steelers D and the home field advantages they’ve enjoyed over us since the Juice. But by all means since it fits the narrative that the Bills didn’t legit earn their way into the playoffs last year, continue to discount the W.
  7. in 2019, they ended up #5 total ranked D, and were #3 against the pass. Yep, pretty good D, that one. Also, first time the Bills had won in Pittsburgh during the regular season since OJ's tenure in the early 70's...and this one was in primetime no less, where the Bills historically have been middling at best. So yes, this still counts as an impressive win, Hodges or not.
  8. 31-14 Bills. Would be higher final score but as the Bills have iced the game midway through the 3rd up 28-0, McD pulls his starters and lets the Jets get in some garbage time scores.
  9. You would think that holograms in the seats would've been feasible with today's technology? Add in the cutting edge crowd noise technology from the Falcons FO, and voila!
  10. Do you? Objectively speaking, how exactly have they improved their game day roster this offseason? Adding covid opt outs, how much regression could they afford after losing Brady? And before you tell me that Cam will be Brady Jr. under center there--he's first got to show that he can remain upright and out of the trainer's treatment room long enough to matter. Then there's this: "Newton had no preseason games or joint practices to test drive this offense. There are rookies at tight end, a virtual rookie at fullback (Jakob Johnson), a wide receiver group that’s little-improved from the 2019 crew which Pro Football Focus said “collectively had the worst season of any receivers in the 14 years PFF has been grading every snap of NFL games.” To think Newton’s going to come out Sunday against Miami, complete more than 60 percent of his passes, help the offense convert more than 40 percent of its third downs and have things moving like clockwork is to be detached from reality. Could it happen? Yes. But I’d be gobsmacked if it did." https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/what-would-successful-2020-season-be-cam-newton-patriots
  11. Pardon if this is not a good followup question, but what is the team policy regarding media availability for the players--I infer that each player decides for themselves whether or not to grant an interview in an open locker room then, as opposed to a dedicated media press conference appearance?
  12. So uncle Rico is what we’re aiming for in all departments, yes?
  13. Ben’s swan song of sneaky good old man game will carry the division but falter/peter out in the playoffs, probably by the divisional round—just too good during the reg season imho for them not to be on top of the division.
  14. Congrats Tre, and happy he’s a Bill for years to come. Remember when we used to approach the season expecting to go to the SB and roll the AFC along the way? For the younger generation, you’re in for a treat when that becomes your reality—we’re right there!
  15. In other words, the McDermott path—Sean won 6 games in 2018 with a roster arguably one of the least talented in Bills history—and also showed that with more talent he was able to correspondingly add to the wins—can Flores really do that this year without a franchise guy at the helm to start? But PK, who I actually really like reading for overall NFL, doesn’t go deep enough as has already been pointed out upthread, and therefore doesn’t give the Bills their due in the division yet. But we will make it easy for him in the years to come!
  16. The problem is when your freedom request affects me or others around you—it’s always a balancing act, no? Classic example would be whether or not you get to yell FIRE in a crowded theater—or, should you have the freedom to decide whether or not your kid rides in a car seat?
  17. Agreed—and the heart/soul of our D in those days, I would say even more so than Bruce although Bruce was the most talented bar none.
  18. I blame @SlimShady'sSpaceForce completely for that.
  19. ^^^^^Solid. Seems like a straight up dude who's gone all in for this team and us fans--how can you be mad at that?? Glad he reached out when it sounds like at that time you could really use that. He texted me back too and was very gracious.
  20. Perhaps you can talk him into also cutting off your sleeves? https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=qQeH_ZbXHic&feature=emb_logo
  21. I don't pretend to know all of the ins and out of his failed restaurant/club back in the day--or how it all turned out in the end, but I do know that he's given back to the area through his various philanthropies and charitable medical research funding in significant amounts over the years. How you choose to weigh that is up to you, I don't begrudge you your opinion.
  22. For the safety of our community at large, and Jordan Poyer's family in particular, I am forced to deny your avatar's request.
  23. Fitzty's current position on his closed circle spin cycle does not permit any aberration from his norm--and we are in dangerous territory when he's an established starter not lying in wait behind a different #1... But in all seriousness, love me some Fitzy and I really really hope you are spot on OP!
  24. to explain that it's not the stork that's been dropping off his bundles of joy?
