  1. I just picked out my outfits for our Superbowl win this year and Josh's HOF ceremony.
  2. I know we're focused on the fumble and Josh focused on the fumble, but it wasn't a fumble in the moment. It was a desperate attempt to get a 3rd down that only had a hope because Josh decided to go one on five, and he almost pulled it off. I felt like we were going to win once he did that. Those kinds of 'fight with me' plays motivate the team.
  3. Hmm...so every person they hire to grade is expected to uphold the same anti-Allen bias? Maybe it's as simple as their system doesn't like QBs who make mistakes (and Josh makes a lot of them) and undervalue the fact that Josh is a stud who does studly things on the football field.
  4. I just sat down to watch the second half. Didn't get to see much of the first as I was busy making supper for my daughter. I'll let you know after the game. Edit: wasn't very impressive but penalties and TOP killed them
  5. Of course you'd do it for every QB in the league. You'd do it for every player in the league. You should be evaluating everything in your life that way. They don't call it the process for no reason. The end result matters but so does everything leading up to it.
  6. I would count them as negative plays if I was the one grading. Just because you got lucky that doesn't mean it wasn't a bad play. Similarly, you should count great plays that didn't quite work out (i.e. a great throw that was dropped). You don't judge things based only on the end result.
  7. Yeah this one seems fishy. There were definitely plays where you could knock him like the misses on 3rd down, an almost INT, and an almost fumble. But ultimately he made too many big time throws and scored too much to have him that far back.
  8. Great early season game. I can't be the only one who still sees the Josh vs. Cam comparisons 2.5 years later. Can't wait to play NE.
  9. I'm going with the entire receiving core. Diggs and Brown kept getting open over and over again, and Beasley had some timely catches as well. Davis laying out in the end zone was the signature grab but our guys were running wild all day and Josh kept on finding them. Josh deserves a game ball too but we've seen him save our asses before. Seeing this WR unit dominate like that should make every Bills fan take notice. We look like a playoff team.
  10. This was my favorite Josh play of the day. He was so close to getting the first despite ridiculous odds. If we make it into playoffs and need a big first down is there anyone here who thinks Josh isn't getting it?
  11. We're going to get DE help later this year when Epenesa starts to figure out how he can be effective in the NFL.
  12. Yeah maybe I was being a little hard on him. I changed it to an A. I think once the all 22 comes out we're going to see that he missed some stuff he probably shouldn't have and got away with some stuff he probably shouldn't have. We'll see. I might be wrong. He definitely made a lot of huge throws today and once again he came through down the stretch. Lots and lots to like.
  13. A You guys are easy graders. Josh's stats look great and we scored 30 points but there were still a lot of iffy throws, some of which killed drives and some of which we got a little lucky. I thought for sure that dropped INT on our five yard line was going to be a pick six. Lots of big time throws though, and his connection with Diggs is proving to be a game changer. We have a passing offense! Yay!
  14. Our receiver group is looking incredible so far. Diggs and Brown are threats for a big play every down. Beasley continues to find ways to get open. Guys actually make tough catches. What a grab by Gabriel! It's still early but our passing game looks way more explosive this year.
  15. There was never any doubt Fitz would come through on the back door cover. That's the real FitzMagic.
  16. I'm in love with our receivers this year. This reminds me of the Rams when they first took off. Good luck covering everyone.
  17. Lorenzo probably has 4-5 weeks in him.
  18. I believe it was a 34 and 38 yarder. Not a good day for the rookie.
  19. not sure he's effective enough yet in the passing game to completely remove the designed runs. I like giving him the option whether it's read or rpo so he can get rid of it if it looks like he might take a big hit on the keep. He's pretty darn effective calling his own number when he's not putting the ball on the ground.
  20. What about the threat of a designed roll out near the goal line or a quick scamper through an open gap for an easy first down out of shotgun. Both those things happened today. We need to put that stuff on tape so teams aren't teeing off on him because he takes too long to throw. Also, because he's good at it (when he isn't fumbling).
  21. He did attempt 46 passes vs. only 18 rushes from the backs in a game where we were up two scores for most of the game. Another screen or two couldn't have hurt but the threat of him running is still a big part of what makes him effective.
  22. A good effort for the most part I thought. He still takes too long to make his reads sometimes but he's so good at buying time and still getting it down field that it doesn't matter vs. teams like the Jets. I think we have to continue using him as a runner until he makes another leap with quick decision making. It sucks because he keeps taking hits and putting the ball on the ground but the threat of him in read option is the only thing that saves our run game. It's nice to see things open up for Josh now that Diggs is here. Brown could have a big year.
  23. Happy for the win but this one definitely wasn't the prettiest. Jets are really bad. Thank goodness we get to play them again in between the Titans, Chiefs, and Pats. Congrats to Josh for breaking the 300 yard curse. Hopefully he's a little sharper next week.
  24. This line feels too low. Surely we're more than a TD better than this Jets team. If I was still betting games outside of pools I'd be hammering Bills in this one.
  25. It's too bad Josh got brought into this because there's probably a good discussion to be had about the interior Dline. Part of the problem is lack of info. Is Butler going to be any good? Is Harry going to be able to get back to his horrible ways pre-injury? Will Ed take the next step and become more consistent snap to snap? We have so many Dline guys our impressive rookie DE can't even crack second string. Think we'll be ok.
