McD helped build the best Bills team in 20 years. That fact alone makes this thread ridiculous. I did, however, cringe at his sour grapes quotes about BB getting too much credit. The fact is we lost this game in part due to coaching. We were conservative to a fault in the first half and maybe that's on Daboll more than McD but I didn't see BB hurting his team with coaching errors.

On the one hand, these were really tough conditions that totally favored the Pats. But also, I hate that this team makes me feel stupid for actually believing in them.

Why are we running vanilla run plays up the middle here??

It's too early to say we're going to miss the playoffs because of this game but we need to beat a lot of good teams just to get in if we lose this one.

Who do we think starts in place of Tre? Edit: probably move Taron outside and play Siran Neal in the slot. Whoever it is I suspect we're going to have to get used to a steady diet of cover 2 moving forward. Or maybe we'll just start blitzing every down.

It's devastating. One thing to fake outrage about our lines which will be healthy for playoffs, but losing Tre is devastating. It's possible we just lost the SB.

I'm so bummed about Tre. Even if the lines get healthy losing him feels like a death blow to our SB chances. SOB

The penalties are almost as frustrating as the turnovers. Almost.

I liked Mongo last year but after the way the playoffs played out it never made sense to me why we chose to bring our line back. I liked what we did in the draft but it's not like that was our only avenue to improve. No point in turning Josh into Russell Wilson who's now perpertually banged up after years of not prioritizing their oline.

Way improved over last year. With that said we're still susceptible to a good play action team as the Titans game showed. We'd have a hard time with a team like the Browns.

He had that false start early but then came back and made a bunch plays. Pretty good all around effort by the receiving core today making the game a little easier for Josh who was also much better.

The premise of this thread is clearly ridiculous but the fact he struggled in so many areas the first two weeks should make everyone a little nervous. I don't love the "Josh gets too hyped with fans" argument but I can't completely dismiss it. If he struggles in week 3 against what looks like an overrated WFT defense then it'll be time to start asking hard questions beyond just stating that he had a bad game. I don't buy that this has been all on the OL or bad play calling.

And now here we are with more than enough time to score but down 10 because we tried to be conservative and kick the FG. This loss is frustrating on so many levels.

I'm not a fan of this conservative play calling. There's still enough time for Steelers to score and then for us to score. You get the TD there and you can still send it to OT. Now we have to stop them. Edit: the reason you don't throw it in the end zone on 3rd down is because you go for it on 4th. Just bad all around.

You have to actually interfere with the receiver for it to be a PI. Wallace barely even touched him. He was the first to make contact with the football. Didn't they change the rule a while back so they can't just call PI every time coverage doesn't turn their head?

The worst part about Josh being so inaccurate is we call more running plays for him and he takes big hits.
