  1. Bills asking for a 2nd and a third for Shady. Steelers asking for a 1st for Bell. Curious who caves in to make the deal. Can the Eagles even afford Bell?
  2. 2nd or bust I'd rather have Shady here catching swing passes from Josh through the end of 2019 than a lousy 4th or 5th round pick
  3. crazy they were team mates Still not sure what is up with Watkins Not like he's been killing it with the Chiefs and we was outplayed last year by Kuup and Woods for the Rams
  4. Beane trades him for a 5th I'll be pissed I was thinking a 2nd
  5. That was a theory Barnwell wrote about last week Basically trade off your qb before his rookie contract is up to allow you to spend his cap money on other positions while endlessly reloading at qb That way you to dont end up with Joe Flucco long term and no money for the rest of your roster.
  6. Tannehill and Cutler are good comps Both shot up in the draft based on combine not their body of work in college Hopefully Josh turns out much better
  7. I think Hopkins might be the best in the NFL right now He's even qb proof, guy put up 13 tds and 1378 yds with more than half a season of Tom Savage and TJ Yeates at qb 1524 yds out of Hoyer/Weeden His year with almost a 1000 yds with Osweiler at qb Tre keeps him in check we got a shot!
  8. They ran the west coast and the ball was out of Brett's hand quickly He got himself in trouble when he held the ball and ad libbed. He also had Sterling Sharpe and a better all around cast. Josh is in a tough spot with what he has to work with.
  9. That is true and Trubisky is still a project from what I have watched He's had some stinkers along with the 6 td game Mahomes lets see what things look like after say 24 starts Not jinxing him, he looks great so far. If Allen shows improvement from where he is now till week 16 its a success. Next year he should be even better and so on. The goat threw for 189 a game and took 41 sacks as a rookie
  10. Think you guys need to look further back than the last year or two. QBs coming in and playing well right away is not the historical norm. More important is do they continue to get better from year 1 to 2 to 3. Most qbs are not ready to start and win in year 1. Mahomes might end up being the best ever or he might regress. Lot of rookies recent years looked good than have gone backwards. We just played one Marriota looked really good but has gone backwards the last two seasons. Prescott going backwards. Trubisky's first four starts look very similar to Allens Almost identical to be honest
  11. There have been many qbs who were drafted early in the first round and turned it around after putrid starts. Alex Smith stats from year one make Allen look like Tom Brady. Bradshaw was drafted #1 overall and took him 5 years before he threw more tds than ints. Steve Young was putrid till year 6 and that doesnt count his USFL years. Drew Brees was not very good till year 4. Eli was horrible year one.
  12. Good luck with that Barring some kind of meltdown hes going to be here for years to come. Goff was horrible year one and turned it around. Bradshaw was awful for years. He's a smart guy, the pre snap stuff and knowing where to go with the football is going to get better.
  13. Mayfield has looked great, rest look like nfl rookies. Allen is not a finished product. Your not going to see that till maybe end of 2019. Maybe even 2020 season. Long as he does not repeat the same mistakes he will be fine. He wasn't asked to do much against the Titans. Texans are good against the run so I expect he will have to try and carry more of the load this Sunday. So we can cheer for him to do well. If he does you can put away the torches and pitchforks. If he stinks it up all you haters can come on here and crow about. Its how its going to be for a while.
  14. cut Peterman end of story
  15. I'd keep Hughes. Lorax and Williams will be gone. Team is going to get much younger next year with all those picks
  16. You want to tie up 16-20 Mill a year at rb long term with a ton of guaranteed money upfront? That is what Bell wants. Pass we should draft a rb
  17. I don't know about all that . Allen is in unless he gets hurt. Ravens loss is on Peterman 100%. Chargers game Allen started to move the ball but it was too late. Vikes we won thanks to Josh/D. Packers was ugly, you can argue some plays go our way we might have had a chance. Titans he didn't do anything special but there were also no back breaking mistakes. Think this move actually says more about how hot trash Peterman is than anything else. Sounds like Mcdermott thinks he can win some games right now. I'd rather watch Allen make mistakes and lose than watch a 35 year old career backup or a never was
  18. Yep he'll have a second calling as a motivational speaker
  19. Houston is going to RGIII Watson's career they keep getting him crushed over and over
  20. Eagles need to make the move asap. Before the season spirals further out of control. Tough spot for the Bills, I'd hold out for the 2nd. Is there any decent wrs we can trade a pick to obtain?
  21. all three of those teams have better players around their qb Your crazy if you think otherwise. Cards O line might be almost as bad as ours, Jets and Browns without question are superior talent wise.
  22. I agree with the pod cast but going 3-13 and letting him get killed might not be the answer either. My thinking is they take the governor off the motor when the games get out of hand If they can run play good D and keep the games close they do it. Lets see how it looks when they are down by two scores or more or the run game is shut down early How much consistent success could he have throwing 35-40 times a game with this supporting cast?
  23. Well Bills are 2-3 having played teams ranked 10,11,13,14,15 They get two road games then will have 6 of the last 9 at home. If they pull out one of the next two road games were headed for another 7 or 8 win season somehow. Ranking is probably where it should be though you can make a strong case for the Bucs, Giants, Colts, Cowgirls, Lions, Texans, Falcons are all in the same boat. Falcons have zero defense and the coach sucks. Somehow I don't see the wheels falling off and us getting to only 4 wins to get a top 5 pick
  24. Eagles look like they have the dreaded super bowl hangover. Wentz is still working his way back so is Alshon. Defense hasn't been close to last years. I wonder if Shady would even want to go back He was pissed to be traded in the first place
  25. He's overthinking some of the throws I wonder if they are coaching him to play safe ball like they did with Tyrod
