Predict the score: Bills at Colts
DuckyBoys replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills 6 Colts 3. 15 sacks and 4 turnovers between the two teams . Hauscka nails 60 yarder to win it -
Moved to Buffalo as age 7 and lived there from 1977 to early 1980 before we moved to St Petersburg Fl after three miserable winters . Bills were on tv so that is the team I got into. I can still remember my buddies being jealous because the year we were moving the Bucs had just made the playoffs Of course in 1980 the Bills made the playoffs and the Bucs returned to being the NFL's doormat til the Glazers bought them many many years later. 40+ years later still watching and hopefull! Only sport that I have any emotional investment in. Used to be really into the Celtics but after the Bird/Magic/Jordan era ended I just watch casually Probably a good thing as the Bills wear me out

Derek Anderson to start vs Colts
DuckyBoys replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He'll be fine I wonder how much different it will look with just a short week for them to get him ready -
First of all he was the least ready of the 4 rookie qbs to start right away. People keep comparing his stats to Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen which is ridiculous right now. He isn't as NFL ready as those guys but given some time to work on his craft has the potential to be the best pro of them all. He was drafted because he has the highest ceiling of the four. Not for what he is day 1 coming in. He looks exactly as advertised except the inaccuracy thing was way overblown. You guys B word for a decade to draft a qb in the top of the first round but dont want to give it even a few games before complaining. Its ridiculous You dont like it go be a Cardinals fan or root for Mahomes

So who do we want to start at qb this Sunday?

I think their plan was MCCaron all the way I wonder what he did to get run out so quick. I cant believe they honestly thought Peterman was a better option Looking back they should have named Mccaron the guy day one and stuck with it or give all the reps to Allen The wishy washy decision making led to the mess on offense along with not bringing in any help

I'd like to see them go get T Williams from the Chargers in FA. Draft another early along with T. Sign a better guard in FA Ideally we maneuver down and end up with two 1st round picks. I wont be shocked if they draft a corner 1st

Is there a reason why Crossman is still around?

blocked punt/muffed punt/poor coverage/botched fg all in the last two games -

Have you watched a Giants game He's checking it down constantly to Barkley almost immediately The diff is the Giants are smart enough to have Barkley chip or just go into the flat on every snap. Against the eagles most of his passing production was from a few simple checkdown that barkley broke out and made amazing plays from -

They have talent on offense. Watkins is the #4 option the Chiefs Ponder that for a moment The most talented player the Bills have had on offense in over a decade is the #4 on the Chiefs Both run innovative schemes We spent all off season installing a jet sweep to the right and cant even get that play right -

Eli cant get it done with Saquon, two good wrs and a good young TE How is he going to do anything here -
Well the majority of the draft picks and free agency money have been poured into defense the last two years. I can see Beane drafting a db with the first pick in 2019. Offense has no speed no quickness besides whatever McCoy has left. They need to poach a young talented WR from a team that cant pay to keep him.

we go qb in the first I'm going to get sick

Agreed but Daboll needs to open it up. I'm ok with Josh making mistakes trying to push the ball vertically down the field. The play calling continues to stink. Goes back to the last season of Tyrod. Hope the elbow is good to go he needs every rep they can get him. -
These kind of losses are tough to absorb. Since McDermott is going to continue to play small ball and try to keep score low, limit Josh Allen's responsibilities its tougher to swallow when it doesn't work out. They had this game and bad play calling/game mgmt gave it away. The way the defense was playing I dont see how Houston drives the length of the field They got two scores from a blocked punt and a muffed punt almost in the red zone and a fg off a throw it up lob for pass int. How you have Peterman throw a late soft out I just dont know. Does Daboll know what he is doing? What are you trying to achieve with that play 5 yards? This is why I was complaining last week. I want to see Allen not being coached to worry about every mistake and trust what he sees and fire it out there Only way he is going to learn. You learn nothing from being coached to play safe/scared
