Emmanuel Sanders might be on the block...
DuckyBoys replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a great football player and no drama If this is true the Bills should at least make some phone calls. Fantastic YAC wr that makes guys miss in small space -

A sampling of other QB’s early career stats
DuckyBoys replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think its difficult to preach patience when a few qbs had massive success right away in the past few years I do think those are flukes though Patrick Mahomes is simply a unique case much like Marino back in 1983. Those guys are not the norm. My worry is that Allen built up some bad habits last year playing with such a weak supporting cast that he may have trouble accepting he does not have to carry the team on every snap. -

Aikman by then had what would become the greatest O line in football as well as a young Emmitt Smith Judging any qb you have to take his whole situation into context What he is asked to do and his supporting cast. -
Yep he just tossed the ball up for grabs like he was in the backyard playing a game of 500 Kids gotta start using that 37 wonderlic noggin better.

He stinks for a third year player that was a very early 2nd round pick He's a whiff but its not his fault the Bills made the wrong choice.

Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?
DuckyBoys replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Realistically and this is not just this week if Barkley plays, they need to run more and get play action going. Daboll offense looks like something a 10 year vet with great perimeter players would be running Not a raw qb behind a still in progress O line with lets be gracious here , decent skill guys -
Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
DuckyBoys replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cam Newton was a horrible passer so they had him run a rpo based college one read offense. Russel Wilson had a great d and a heavy run game that set up play action for him.Lamar is running a gimmick offense to accentuate what he does well. Daniel Jones is two games in so who knows. Watson was excellent right way but I dont think its the norm. Its too early to panic but he should start showing progress this season At least stop with the endless parade of bone headed plays I can see a mistake here or there trying to make a play but yesterday was over the top bad. -
An observation on Josh Allen's three picks
DuckyBoys replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He gave Allen too much rope and Josh hung himself with bad decisions. Maybe the Bills coaching staff thinks Allen is further along than what he really is. We also dont know what the primary reads were on a of the bad decisions Allen made. Allen is so gifted physically he is once again trying to do too much instead of making the simple low risk play. I will say the play calling early could have incorporated some quick rhythm throws and maybe more draws and some screens to get him going. -

If the plan is for Matt Barkley to "win " the football game we are in deep doo doo. I expect heavy run game, the usual great D and hopefully better special teams to set up the Bills to manufacture 20 points somehow -
it should have been called based just on the fact that the Pats TE is making zero effort to run a route He is out there setting a screen like in basketball and even shuffles over to the side

Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
DuckyBoys replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was not ready on Sunday mentally. Pressed from the get go and it showed in the terrible decisions he made Its not easy to watch but he was a raw prospect and I think his ceiling is worth at least investing two seasons of starts. We would have won with mediocre mistake free qb play yesterday. It is what it is. Coaching staff has a tough job. -
An observation on Josh Allen's three picks
DuckyBoys replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We dont have a deep game Only guy that can get downfield is Brown and I'm not sure he is the same burner that was on the Cards. Allen needs better decision making and better targets. Can't they trade for someone? Zay Jones 18 targets 7 catches for 69 yards -

F- F for the game and the minus for getting knocked out and possibly missing some time -
A Few Thoughts About the *Pats game, in no particular order
DuckyBoys replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
just dont throw to Zay period I think Allen needs to shelve the endless hardcount I think were losing on false starts vs the amount of times he's drawn a off sides by a very large margin Our guys obviously are too busy in the huddle to remember something so tough as what count to go on. Lee Smith seems to have a very difficult time grasping it -

well Zay did reel in 4 yards on two catches and 8 targets Seriously I'm at the point I want KB back -
Truth, Allen self destructed with bad decision making and reverting to hero ball. Cost us two fgs with stupid sacks. Bunch of those turnovers were on early downs where there was not even any need to push the ball to make some special play. Lets not forget the two fumbles he coughed up that we luckily recovered. Honestly we'd probably have won today with a risk adverse game manager type qb. I really hope he starts learning soon

I have been a Josh Allen guy since draft day but there is gunslinger and there is what he did today and they are two different things Those late throws into coverage and taking sacks in FG range were just bone headed plays no good qb does often . Let alone that many times in one game. It looked like Dabol and McDermot have a different mindset on how to handle it Dabol was calling him out and looked like he wanted to slap him in the head McDermott was trying some sort of jedi non confrontational thing on the sideline -
DiMarco dint block either guy he spit them like bowling pins

DuckyBoys replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh lowered his head to take the hit and the defender is much shorter than Allen to begin with Could/should he have pulled up and not gone for the kill shot with Allen wrapped up? Probably so but much as it pains me to say it Allen has to learn to protect himself He is going to have a very short career if he keeps taking on tacklers. Another mental aspect of the game he needs to work on His #1 attribute is availability and now we might be watching a career back up instead -
both tackles are below average QB holding the ball too long is making it even more visible No way they pay Dawkins he is mediocre at best if not a below average LT Probably spend in free agency next year they certainly have enough cap space. Ford is looking like a bust so far but its too early to tell

Post Game Thread Bills vs Pats*
DuckyBoys replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we can agree in general the skill position guys could do better at fighting for contested catches and coming back to make plays for the qb. John Brown has been the best by far snagging some impressive away from his body catches Honestly we dont have that feared WR1 who routinely makes tough catches along with the occasional highlight reel reception. In a perfect world Brown would be a #2 wr and Beasley would be the slot on obvious passing downs/3 wr sets and Zay would be a distant memory -
Interior guys had a great game today Brady didnt get to step up past the pass rush into a vacant hole like he typically does Those interior lineman are doing the dirty work in this scheme

This was a tough one to watch Anyone else feel like the game took 4 hours? Felt like walking in quicksand Way I see it Josh Allen is either going to be a superstar or going to be the should have been. If Daboll can somehow coach some situational football sense into him we'll be set. I just dont know if you can fix horrible decision making. Josh needs to watch tape on jameis winstons career and see where he could be headed I'd make him watch a loop tape of all of the brutal pick 6's Winston has made Bucs fans endure. Frustrating day for sure
