  1. After the win tonight I want the Bills to make a couple 'all in' moves over the break. Hoping we can trade a 3rd plus Moss for CMC and upgrade the Guard position with a 5th rounder (the one we got for Ford) or a 4th.
  2. Second Homage. They are basically in my backyard here in Columbus, OH and I've been buying their stuff for ten plus years now - so glad their Bills/NFL assortment has really expanded this past year. The Bills twitter account recently posted a picture of Josh wearing that two bar tshirt - so hopefully some good publicity for this small company. They can be pricey but they very frequently have sales. So if you see something you want, wait a week or two and you should have the opportunity to get it for 20% or less off.
  3. 90s kid, parents got me all of these while I was in elementary/middle school - Jim Kelly, Chris Spielman, Bryce Paul, Eric Moulds and Doug Flutie. I still have the Kelly, Spielman and Flutie jerseys. Really wish I still had the Paup jersey - dude was one of my favorite players growing up.
  4. Just got an email from DTV 30 minutes ago titled 'If you only open one email today… this is it.' Opened it up and it was a notice that I was getting NFL Sunday Ticket Max for free this season. Pretty pumped and can cross off the dreaded threaten to cancel call off my list!
  5. Had the opportunity to walk on at a Big Ten school and earned a scholarship my red shirt senior year (2007 season). Was a guard and played in 7 or 8 games my final season, including PAT/FG team in a win at TTUN.
  6. Stills had a 54 yard TD last year in the Divisional Round in KC. Could be much worse options to have.
  7. I find it interesting that at this point it has only been Patrick Mahomes that has said he’s cleared the protocol. Nothing from any official source nor the team.
  8. Are we pretty confident CEH will play? He’s even more important to them if Mahomes is limited/out.
  9. I plan on drinking early and often tomorrow, probably starting around lunch time.
  10. I'm with you 100%. I'm a 35 year old (turn 36 next Sunday as well - hoping to be watching the Bills in the AFC Championship on my birthday!) from Ohio and have no actual ties to the city of Buffalo. My life is surrounded mostly by Browns, Bengals and (to a much lessor extent) Steelers fans. Whenever anyone asks me why I'm a Bills fan I have really have no answer. I originally had concerns that I was a front-runner as a youngster, but my parents reassured me that I latched onto the Bills around the 1988 season, a couple years before the Super Bowl run. Whatever the reason, I have stuck with them. For the first time in my adult life, they are actually good. I love listening to One Bills Live or coming on here to pass the time while working from home during this pandemic. I'm not ready to stop having that be part of my every day routine yet. I have a 4.5 year old daughter that loves to do art and color. Nowadays, before I color with her she always reminds me that I can't just use 'Bills colors' (red and blue obviously) to color that unicorn or Disney princess. While she is obviously too early to really understand what is going on, I really hope she looks back when in her 20s and 30s and reflects on her own Bills fandom and appreciates that it was these days/this season when it all really began. I really can't explain it. My wife thinks I'm obsessed, but I would not have it any other way. Just dropped some some money on Etsy to further outfit my basement bar with Bills decor. Damn I am nervous for tomorrow!
  11. Was able to get Sunday Ticket Max for free today. I got the benefit of an incompetent AT&T crew smashing some freshly planted flowers near their utility box in our backyard while burying a new fiber optic line for my neighbor. Trying to figure out if I won in the scenario considering they damaged about $150 of plants?
  12. I am an Ohio State season ticket holder and can confirm they've implemented the same policy. This was supposed to be a seat selection year (you pick your seats for the next five seasons), but they've also pushed that a year so as to not punish folks not renewing this year for health/safety concerns.
  13. Anyone have any idea if Connor and/or Juju are expected to play?
  14. Anyone else going to the game? I'm driving up from Columbus and expecting it to be 33% - 40% Bills fans. Ticket prices on the secondary market have really come down as a result of the Browns recent performance.
  15. I think if Beane were to make a splash move (such as Green or Evans) it will likely come after the Eagles game. This game is going to be a good gauge for this team - with a win he has got to like their chances this year (and into the near future given current composition of the team and cap situation) and draft capital may feel like it's more expendable. With a loss it may temper expectations and expose some flaws with the team that need addressed before making a serious run in 2020/2021, at which point I'm sure he'd value having as much draft capital as possible. I don't think you make a big time move unless you have your sights set on something more than just a wildcard birth. This game will go a long way to show what the ceiling for this team could be - and I'd expect Beane to respond accordingly.
  16. My wife and I have been going to this area for a couple days each Fall for the last 5 years. Was just there a few weeks ago - beautiful area and as everyone has said the beer is amazing. Best bar in the area is Blackback Pub - it's about 20 minutes south in Waterbury. By far the best draft list in town. They have at least one tv there, I watched some playoff baseball as we waited for our dinner reservations at Hen of the Wood, so if there's not a Patriots game they'd probably put it on (unfortunately tons of Pats fans up there). Doc Ponds has a couple of tvs and a good draft list too.
  17. I walked on at Ohio State the year after they beat the U for the National Championship (2003) as a 6'2 280 lb guard. I had offers from smaller division schools but was considered too small for larger D1 schools. Blew out my ACL in camp of my sophomore season, rehabbed for a year and toiled on scout team for two years before being put on scholarship and playing in eight games my senior (5th) year. Got to play on field goal team in a win at Michigan but my last game was unfortunately a loss to LSU in the national championship game. Had a blast playing and would have loved to continue after college, but my size was kind or prohibitive (I got up to 293 at one point in college) for the NFL game. The interesting thing I never appreciated while in the thick of it is the doors being a college athlete opens up for you after the fact. The CFO at my current employer has told me a number of times he loves hiring college athletes because of the time management skills, drive and work ethic that they have that most folks don't. For the reason I will always encourage my children (child as of now) to pursue athletics in addition to academics for the various life lessons it teaches.
  18. Long time lurker - first time poster. The end of the drought last year combined with a potential franchise QB has reinvigorated my fandom of the Bills. I was in elementary school in the 90s when the Bills made it to four straight super bowls - last year was the first time in my adult life I got to see a Bills playoff game. I've even taught my two year old daughter to say 'Go Bills!' any time football is on. I think my interest in the NFL (in consideration of the Bills and my love for fantasy football) has never been higher. I am, however, getting concerned that the game is changing, for the worse, with all of the rule changes. I'm an OSU guy through and through, and I can only imagine Jack Tatum is rolling in his grave every time one of these new era personal fouls are called.
