  1. Pros for playing starters and getting the win: 1. Both times Bills starters had extended rest they came out flat the following week (Mia and Balt). 2. Losing 3 out of 4 going into the playoffs is a bad look. Not what good teams do. 3. 11 wins is a great milestone. Bills will get more respect in future. More prime time games possibly. More attractive for FAs possibly. Cons 1. Starter could get hurt. How bad would that look? 2. Getting a back-up more playing time would be nice if needed in January. If JA went down in Houston I would feel a lot better if Barkley had a full game under his belt. I think I agree with the HC. Play the game to get the win by playing the starters.
  2. I would not. Maybe I’m being overly optimistic but I think Josh will improve considerably. He is the right guy for this team right now.
  3. No but without that trade we likely would have never been able to get Josh.
  4. Although Josh is still developing, can we put to rest the 2017 trade down was not a disaster? KC netted Mahones while the Bills landed White and then Allen the following year with the draft capital. Seems like a win-win deal right now.
  5. If someone told me on 9/1/19 the Bills would be 10-5 heading into week 17, I would be thrilled. And I still am. With that said it feels like they underachieved a bit. The Bills gave away a few games including the two NE matches. The offense is very uneven and can’t put together at least 3 quarters of good play. It can be very frustrating to watch. Thus, it leaves them open for a lot of criticism. But we should be patient and hopefully things will click more consistently on offense next season. I have felt 2019 was all on Beane and McDermott. They got it done. I will add Josh to that group in 2020.
  6. they have something to play for. A loss and a win by KC puts them at #3. That’s practically a wild card spot.
  7. I give credit to the Jets. They really messed up the Steelers, Raiders and Cowboys playoff chances.
  8. Finally. Will not look like crap at home. The way it should be. ALWAYS.
  9. I think his point is the TD to turnover ratio and that more than half the opponents had very good defense.
  10. No one from Wyoming could ever make it in the NFL. Terrible competition. This can’t be right.
  11. Empty the bench. Imagine if Tre gets hurt. Besides, good to get these guys real snaps in case they are needed in January.
  12. The go ahead TD pass to Brown against the Jets was pretty darn amazing. That was the play that started all of this. Without that win I think the season would have turned out differently.
  13. Boy it sucks that we lost to the Browns and they got lucky calls and beat the Cowboys.
  14. It took me a few seconds to recognize who that was. I thought it was an injured lineman at first. I think the Big Ben era is over.
  15. My mind says yes. Rest Josh and key starters. Zero upside letting them play. But I really want that 11th win.
  16. I felt 2019 was completely on Brandon and Sean. They have done great. Probable 11 win season (if they do not rest everyone against the Jets) and playoffs. But not just sneaking in and being big underdogs, but securing a spot with two weeks to go and building a defensive that gives us a chance no matter who or where they play. They have achieved this with still plenty of draft capital and cap space. That’s huge. Just ask the Rams.
  17. Will take Sunday night games all day long. Live on the west coast so it is actually perfect. Prefer no Monday or Thursday nights.
  18. I loved the gray face masks when they were introduced but I’m starting to warm up to the white face masks. Would not mind that if they made it permanent.
  19. I keep saying offense offense offense when it comes to the high rounds of the draft but if Sean wants a CB in round one or two I will keep quiet now. They earned my respect to select the right talent.
