Who's your pick for a breakout season?
BruceVilanch replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And don't forget Duke. -
Good morning from the west coast, I know this question might be a little early considering we still have free agency and the draft, but who is your pick for a breakout season next year? I landed on Gabe Davis, I think he really flashed in his rookie year (35 rec 599yds 7td 17 yds/rec). I think him learning from guys like Diggs, Brown and Bease is invaluable and I think we see a big leap from him. I'm hoping he can be a 1000yd guy within the next 2 years, he showed a great ability to make tough catches and had a nose for the end zone. Who's your pick?

Last time I said that I ended up in hot yoga with my wife. Gaskin wasn't bad, but that's a good point, if he couldn't get playing time in MIA you gotta wonder.

Cover 1: AJ Epenesa Rookie year transformation
BruceVilanch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane said in the video they asked him to drop down to 260 and he dropped to 250-255, I was confused about it myself because I thought he looked great as a bull rush guy. But he definitely progressed through the season, so hopefully after a year playing lighter he has a better idea of what his new body type can do. -
Patriots trading for Trent Brown
BruceVilanch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was watching a CBS breakdown of the Bills and what to expect going into next season, one of the commentators said "I'm not ready to crown them in the AFCE until I see what the patriots do at QB" last year I could understand that sentiment to a point, going into this year it's ridiculous, at least the other analyst called him out for how bad a take that was. -
Good morning from the west coast, mods feel free to delete, but I feel Drew Brees is a big enough name to have a topic about. Drew Brees has yet to announce his retirement and I just enjoyed some of the devils lettuce which always leads to real deep thoughts. I think Drew comes back next year and here's why. I think he feels such a connection to the city of New Orleans, that, along with the day by day improvement in regards to covid-19 (which btw, I work at a hospital and it's getting so much better, light at the end of the tunnel!) has Drew thinking he gives it one more year and has a proper farewell tour with fans in the stands. He has meant so much to that city and I believe him getting a chance to say goodbye to his fans has him questioning retirement. The saints still have a formidable squad even with the guys they are going to lose to the cap, I think he takes a pay cut to help the team, and gives it one more go. Have a great day everyone, and for real, we're close to getting back to some normalcy, Go Bills.

Gabe Jackson to be released
BruceVilanch replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think he is even 30 now, he was 27 when we signed him. -

Free Agents We Should Be Looking At
BruceVilanch replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glass half empty type of guy? I think the majority of fans were kinda waiting for this team to fail and break our hearts, and I get it, that was "On Brand" for bills teams of the past. I would be lying if I wasn't worried half way through the season that the wheels would fall off, but this team proved they could sustain a season of success, I really think this team is built for the long haul. Enjoy the ride man. -

Brandon Beane on Collinsworth’s podcast — worth a listen
BruceVilanch replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you have an hour it's definitely worth listening to or watching on youtube. I've always been a fan of Sherman because I think he is an interesting, intelligent, dude. Listening to him break down how diggs impacted the team is great, I think he'll make a great analyst someday. -
Trade up or trade back in this year’s draft?
BruceVilanch replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we'll have a better idea after FA shakes out and we see where we are, but I believe Beane has moved up every draft so my money would be on a trade up. -
Cap will be no less than 180 million

That's going to be the hard part, I work at a hospital, and we see how bad CV19 is and we still have STAFF who aren't taking the vaccine. They don't want those pesky 5g microchips in them. -
Could the Bills be looking to incorporate a Thug OL?
BruceVilanch replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we signed him we could rename the OL the Terror Squad. could have said "Enforcer" -

Here's a cool snippet of an article regarding her last match: Credit to the Guardian Witt (Tennis coach) said Pegula’s rising confidence is a big part of her progress. She found a sort of kinship with her family’s football team, the Bills, who made the playoffs three of the past four seasons behind quarterback Josh Allen after going nearly two decades without a trip to the postseason. “Even last year, when he wasn’t playing that well, I was like, ‘I like this kid.’ I loved his competitive spirit. He was a gamer. He just wanted to win. That’s something you love to see,” she said about Allen. “It’s definitely something I think I tried to take into my game a little bit, even watching the team getting that grit, that competitive attitude, having that mindset in tennis, it’s like 90%, sometimes, of the matches. I think it’s been really cool to watch them and kind of channel that energy into how I’ve been doing.”

Top Josh Allen Tough Guy Plays

I think in the Jags (2019) game he stiff armed Miles Jack for a TD on a run. I think you could also show the injury to his shoulder against Oakland this year and he comes back in after the half.
