Josh Allen is my guy. Him and Devin Singletary are coming out of the bye ready to tear up the league and elevate the Buffalo offense to playoff-caliber. Disagree? Do so at your own peril. My esteemed colleagues, Kyle and Peter, have expressed skepticism to me regarding Josh Allen. I currently have Kyle in a headlock as I type. Peter is in the corner of our studio with his underwear over his head. This is how I roll.

The Buffalo sports battle cry of the 21st century. Looking forward to those days being over (for the Bills AND Sabres...and Bandits ). Pay particular attention to what's going on with the Raiders and the Chiefs in the West. They both have difficult schedules over the next 3 weeks and may collapse. If at least one does, there's a not entirely unlikely chance that the Bills finish their home stand at 7-1 and with a FOUR game lead over the next closest wild card competitor. I know, I know..."one game at a time, Kay!" ***** you. Let me have my moment of joy.

I have, yes. The Bills are top 10 in rushing attempts, total rushing yards, rushing yards per carry, and rushing TD's. But I understand your point. They've been passing more than running this year, and some of those rushes are coming from Allen runs in broken pass plays. I'm not saying that Daboll's offense is like Greg Roman's. What I am saying is that I believe the Bills would generally prefer running than passing, and we may start to see this as soon as Singletary returns from injury. For these first 5 games, defenses have not respected Allen and have been lining up to neutralize the run. I suspect that's a big part behind why Daboll has called so many pass plays. This will change as Allen improves (we're seeing it!) throughout the season.

Do people actually think the Browns will run the table after losing to the Pats and starting 2-5? Coaching matters. Offensive lines matter. The Browns have neither. And if you think the Browns will finish 6-0 in their division, then you haven't been paying attention to the nature of division rivalries, especially in the AFC North. I'll put them at 7-9, losing to the Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, Bengals, and....BILLS.

We don't have the best D in the league. Right now we have the 3rd best behind NE and SF. We need to see more turnovers and a better pass rush from Hughes, Oliver, Lawson, and Murphy before considering them for #1.

I have very little doubt we will be seeing both QB's. I assume Frazier is smart enough to prepare for both.

Once the Chargers lose tonight, there will be 9 AFC teams with at least 4 losses after only 6 weeks. That leaves 7: Pats, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Colts, Raiders, Chiefs. Who's the odd one out for the playoffs? Most of you are probably thinking the Raiders (and the pessimists here will suggest the Bills). But check out the Chiefs' schedule, in combination with their injury list and terrible defense. Could they be the odd ones out?

I was going to post the run defense stats for the Chiefs, but then I realized there may be kids reading this thread. I am curiously loving the demise of the Chiefs and Browns. I think it's because they represent everything that the Bills are not: hype, big names, big personalities, and flashy new-age NFL flag-football style fantasy football points-producing nonsense. The Bills play as a team and still believe in delightfully quaint football notions such as defense and running the ball.

That's not fair to characterize the younger Bills fan base like that, for two reasons: 1. In the modern NFL, it's much easier to rebuild a team from scratch in a comparatively shorter amount of time. Three years is enough time to expect a competent GM and HC to take a cellar dweller to playoff contention. 2. Any Bills fan under 30 years old probably has no memory of a home playoff game or a playoff victory (January 1996). No professional sports fan should ever have to experience their favorite team missing the playoffs for 17 straight years. The young Bills fans who are still fans have more than earned their stripes.

You mean back when they knew every play the offense was going to run because they had been illegally videotaping practices for year?

You mean passing offense, right? Because the Bills were a top-5 rushing offense before today. I think the return of Singletary, Allen's improved decision-making with more experience, and better OL pass-protect cohesion with more time will lead to a much better offense towards the end of the season. Remember that this unit has a lot of new faces (only 8 left over from last year; only Allen and Dawkins starters from last year).

I'm so confident in McDermott's coaching right now that I'd take all 3 of Wilson Phillips on the DL. Put the fat one (Carnie?) at NT in place of Lotulelei.

Here's the AFC playoff landscape as of 4:45pm: 1. Pats: 5-0 2. Chiefs: 4-0 3. Texans: 3-2 4. Ravens: 3-2 5. Bills: 4-1 6. Raiders: 3-2 7. Browns: 2-2 8. Chargers: 2-2 9. Colts: 2-2 10. Titans: 2-3 11. Jags: 2-3 IN THE HUNT: Jets, Dolphins, Steelers, Bengals, Broncos If the Chargers, Colts, and Browns all lose, then the Bills will have a 2-game buffer between the wild card division line.

The key to this game is the same key as every game this season for the Bills: minimal fumbles and interceptions from Josh Allen. We have the #2 defense and a top 5 running game on offense. The Titans are unimpressive on offense and in their run defense. The Bills can take this one on the road. The Buffalo diaspora fanbase will be out in full force to neutralize the home field advantage. If Allen plays smart and simple from here on out, this team finishes 12-4 and makes it to the AFC semi-finals. With a little luck, maybe more.

I need to see a drastic improvement in red zone defense before calling them elite. After 4 games, they are close to dead last in the NFL in this category (defined as % of drives in red zone that end up as TD's). Last season, they were also close to dead last as well. This needs to change. Elite defenses don't choke like this.

Don't you worry. We can do both. We can upgrade the pass rush and fix the offense at the same time. I love the idea of getting 2 good OT's and maybe move both Dawkins and Ford inside to flank Morse. However, everyone in the league is looking for OT's. Easier said than done. We might have to live with Dawkins at LT for a while longer. If we find a dominant LG, then Dawkins is probably ok at LT. I prefer Nsekhe, Feliciano, Long, Spain, Bates, Boettger, and Sean's favorite son as strictly backups.

I wonder if there was a specific day where Belichick said, "Screw it, let's just cheat." If so, I would mark that day as the turning point.

Check out our rushing offense. It's really good. We can run the ball. We can stop the run. We can stop the pass. Now we just need to pass the ball. Josh Allen was terrible today in his 16th career NFL regular season game against the greatest game-planning head coach ever with an historically good defense. Allen needs a lot of work, but he will get better. Part of the fun this year is watchng his development. We also have a relatively easy schedule. The #5 playoff seed is a very realistic goal. The Cheatriots are maddening, but it can still be fun following the Bills this season. Also, Brady doesn't look the same. The decline is real. The end will come. BTW, if the Saints beat the Cowboys tomorrow night, then the Bills are tied for the FOURTH best record in the NFL behind the Pats, Chiefs, and 49ers.

He most definitely did NOT keep us in the game. He was complete garbage. Reminiscent of Rob Johnson, JP Losman, and EJ Manuel. He has regressed with his throwing mechanics and decision-making. He choked in the biggest game of his career to date. On top of that, he has now sustained his second pro career injury in 16 games played. We are very, very far away from having our franchise QB, folks. Maybe Josh needs to stop making cutesy social media videos with Jim Kelly and Bills Mafia and start focusing on better game preparation. I don't care anymore about how much he loves WNY and how cool his TD celebrations are. I care about success on the field and beating New England maybe once in a while.

Dave Wheat clearly isn't being honest here. The concern isn't at all with one of the players slipping on one and tearing an ACL. They're only worried about the PR and the preservation of a family-friendly atmosphere when you have dildos flying onto the field. But the thing is that dildos are ESSENTIAL items for any adult female and also many adults males like Tom Brady. They need to be celebrated and encouraged. Keep launching those floppy toys, boys! Keep it up! It's Patriots week, baby!!!!! I want to see New Era field drenched in a sea of marital aid devices! All colors are welcome, but red, white, and blue preferred.
