  1. Although I don't disagree with your overall thoughts, I do question the " shedding of oline players and depth ". I am pretty confident that Bates will return. That gives the same starting line we finished with ( barring cuts of course). Dawkins, Bates, Morse, Williams and Brown. That's actually pretty good in my opinion, based upon the way they finished the season. Then you have Feliciano as a backup G/C, Ford as a backup G and Doyle as a swing T. Grab a FA or 2 and draft 1 or 2. Doubt we are going to draft a TE or RB in the 1st and I wouldn't hate a 1st on a wr depending on who, I just don't see it. Just like I wouldn't hate Davis as the pick, I just don't see that as the best route as I think they will re-sign Harry and still have Star if they want to keep him this year. Edge is a concern, but I wouldn't be surprised if they sign Hughes to a 1 yr deal to have the vet presence and one last go for a ring or even Addison, depending on $. My best guess would be BPA in the 1st, but would put a CB first, then WR followed by IOL. Obviously all depends on FA. Just my opinion though.
  2. Below is one I did on PFF. Kind of like it even though we are really early for where most guys will ultimately be ranked. 25 - Roger Mccreary CB Auburn 57 - Skyy Moore WR W. Michigan 89 - Jeremy Ruckert TE Ohio State 127 - Jerome Ford RB Cincinnati 166 - Cordelle Volson T N Dakota St 184 - Mike Rose LB Iowa St 202 - Otito Ogbonnia DL UCLA 242 - Nick Ford C Utah
  3. I'll be him in about 1 hr!😁
  4. Yup. Love the image you posted several times. Thought about borrowing it for the impact players threads, but wasn't mine to share.👍
  5. Yeah, but be sure to look at the line and Shady as the RB. Plus Tuhrod wasn't too bad himself. Like the hire though.👍
  6. Thanks. I don't have Wallace, or Boetteger on my list. But do have Zimmer, Obada, Phillips and Bates. I think Wallace will be too expensive and Boetteger I thought could easily be replaced. I have Hughes (vet presence 1 yr deal)and Neil instead. I also have McKenzie as a possibility, but totally depends on what they do with Beasley.
  7. As to FA's who of our own would you re-sign before others?
  8. May need 50+if we can't find a way to stop them from getting 42.😉
  9. As we start to roll into Free Agency Lots of discussions going on around the board. Now being past the Bowl games. Has anyone been working out the simulators? Have any been updated?
  10. I think having OBJ could be really interesting. Would need to really figure out if it could be done with our CAP challenges and still fill in the other holes. I like it though. As to Berrios, looking at his price, I think it would be almost a wash as to Beasley's cap savings. Is it worth it?
  11. I am right there with you on a LB. No way unless there is some ungodly trade with Edmunds (ain't happening). Hate to say it, but, with the way the line played the last few games with Bates at LG, I would not be shocked if they re-signed Bates and roll with the rest (not what I would do) and draft a couple later. I am on the CB train in rnd 1. Now, if Metchie or Burks was there,,,,,,, I could change my mind of a WR in the first.😉
  12. Had it not been for the covid opt-out, he be gone. But with the contract IS what it IS and the way it's setup, best option is post June cut for the biggest savings. Probably why they didn't go with a replacement last year. Anyway, sign Phillips as the starter, go into the draft and get a replacement for Star. See if the draftee can handle it, then decide Stars fate. Doubt we will look at a FA. No rush to cut him now.
  13. Most know I am a big McKenzie fan.😁 Most are talking about speed. He's the fastest/quickest player we have (had) on the roster. He's better in man than Cole (Cole is better in Zone). He's also probably one of the most team first guys we have. Played CB when we needed someone, plays PS qb when needed (kyler, Jackson etc). Very good in motion and jet sweeps. I think he is a player that will do anything you ask if it helps. Great personality and I think he gives a spark/attitude to the team. With that being said, no, I don't think is is a #1 slot guy. Perfect backup and gadget guy and what he gets paid he is well worth his spot. Few thoughts. Is Cole a Cap cut casualty? At 6mill, you could probably sign McKenzie to a 2-3yr deal for just the cap savings. If Cole is gone, are we going to go into the season with only a rookie? Who's available in FA at the cost of Lil' Dirty that's better? McD allows his coaches to make decisions on their own. Maybe it was Daboll who didn't give McKenzie more opportunities on O? Maybe when you have a Cole that your paying good money to, you don't take him off the field? Personally, I think Cole is gone. So, if I had to guess, McKenzie will take another 1 yr deal and we will draft someone. Who, you ask? I am on the fence with a couple, but like Skyy Moore (2-3rd rnd). If we do go with an FA, I'm leaning towards Byron Pringle.
  14. So we have 18 FA's and 8 draft picks. That leaves us with 10 spots to fill (not including cuts for cap). Which of our own are we going to keep/sign?
  15. I agree. My only concern is if they cut Beasley for cap reason and lose McKenzie as well, they may want some experience just in case. Plus we will need a returner as I don't think Stevenson is the answer there either. Now, if we keep either one, definitely Draft a slot wr and I think they will either way.
  16. I have no issue with you repeating your stance. And I admire your dedication. I actually enjoy (ed) the back and forth and said this to you yesterday. My only issue on your crusade is you are taking over a thread that was started about FA wr's. As to the last part, Normally I would ignore it, but really? Yup real mature. But you dou you.👍
  17. WTH.... This AGAIN!!? It's like Groundhog day...🤬. Take it back over to the 25th pick thread or start your own thread. Jeepers.
  18. And this is why I tagged you!!!🤗 I will never be able to keep up with you, So I'll keep it more on my level.😂 So say 25 mil. 3-5 mil for the draft 3-5 emergency fund 18 FA's 8 draft picks So approximately 15 mill to fill 10 spots.🤔
  19. Thanks. How many player cuts to get there?
  20. This. Plus we have what 16-18 FA' of our own we need to figure out first. Plus trying to keep with the thread topic.🤔 I'm glad Coloradobills peaked in. I always look for his CAP threads (my local capologist.😉). @coloradobills. How we looking there boss? Restructure, our own FA signings and draft. What's left in the bank account?😂
  21. I think we are or could be. But with being tight on the CAP, I don't think we will be any kind of big players in FA this year. Outside of signing some of our own, I can only see 3 or 4 mid to lower level FA signings to fill in gaps.
  22. What about Byron Pringle? Can return kicks as well. It's not like we are looking for a wr1 or wr2.
  23. I guess in a round about way, yes. That ONE GAME. We can go 18 (19)&0 but if we cant stop or get past the Chiefs in the playoffs, what's it matter? I just don't think scoring 50 points is a realistic way to do it. Although I love the conversation and back and forth, I think we are at a point of agree to disagree. I'm not really here to argue opinions. We all have them and there is no way to really win an opinion based disagreement. As my ex would tell you, I'm stubborn and hard headed. 😁. I will agree with you on Josh though and he does deserve every weapon and tool available for him to win (after a CB in rnd 1).😉
  24. You kind of made my case.👍 "No punts"! How much more offense do we need? Would another #1 receiver won any of the last 5 games? Or would a top corner have helped more against the Chiefs? Our D IS good enough when our talent is there. (Tre). No Tre, no win. Hence forth why I want a top corner in the draft. He won't be there to start the season and Levi or Jackson are not DB1's. And Levi probably won't be back either. Just to be clear and I believe I have said it in other posts. I am ALL for an offensive driven draft after getting a CB. I'd be happy running the rest of the D back again next year.
  25. I don't think it's realistic to expect 30+ points a game in order to win. I think it more realistic to hold a team under 30. We scored on every posession against the Pats and 36 points against the Chiefs. Should have been MORE than enough. Offense wasn't an issue in my opinion. But I can see you are more offensive minded and I am more defensive minded. All good. I'll stick with my 25th pick at CB.😉
