  1. Disappointing. At least the defense would have had to play honest with Allen in there and Shady would have room to run. I like Peterman, he has a lot of good attributes, but the poor arm strength will be a killer. The Ravens are going to jam eleven player, a couple cheerleaders and a few assistant coaches into the box and have their secondary jumping routes all day. I'll keep hope, and I'll pull for the guy, but in my eyes this is not the best chance Buffalo has of winning this game. My fear is the coaches are willing to sacrifice this season, we'll eventually put Allen in, start piling up wins, and ultimately just miss the playoffs because too many earlier games were considered expendable. I actually thought we were going to win this one. Now? I still think we can, and will still hope they do, but I don't like our chances. I initially predicted 9-7 with a wild card birth. After this announcement? 7-9, with people here screaming we should have started Allen sooner. My excitement for Sunday plumetted, but what can you do? Maybe the staff knows something I don't. Maybe they have a plan. Maybe they'll overachieve like last year. Still a Bills fan, still going to pull for them. I hope (desperately) for them and Peterman to prove me wrong. But this, to me at least, looks like the Bills are already sacrificing the season outright for the sake of the future beyond. Ugh...not the way I wanted this day or season to start... ?
  2. If you can't see the difference in presenting something as opinion vs. presenting it as fact...nothing I can do to help you. Anywho, nearing front a snack bar line, so I'm outta here.
  3. I've no issue with speculation, so long as speculation isn't presented as fact. For example, "Allen looks like a bust." or "I think Allen is a bust." is fine, while "Allen is a bust." is not.
  4. Umm...the only actual *facts* we have are last season's results. Everything else is *speculation*.
  5. I'm responding to your replies, much as you are to mine. We're in this dance together and you amused me the whole drive to the Drive-In, so thank you for that! But, since we just pulled in, your services are no longer required. Ta ta for now!
  6. ...where did I say there was a problem?
  7. Didn't rile me up, amused me. You're entitled to speculate, just as I'm entitled to laugh when you present speculation as fact. ?
  8. Aww, see. That would have at least made you interesting. Now you're just another unimaginative troll who keeps saying Darnold is god and Allen is a bust just to rile people up. *yawn* Dime a dozen here, I'm diasappointed.
  9. Yeah, it hurt when the Jets beat the Bills in week 17 to make their last playo...oh wait, that's right. The Jets choked and the Bills killed their playoff birth. See...this is part of the mocking and ridicule I was mentioning. ?
  10. I remember when trolls were at least creative, subtle and amusing. ? Though, to be fair, I find the idea of a *Jets* fan trash-talking fans of a 2018 playoff team highly amusing. Waiit until your team actually accomplishes something, *then* trash talk. Otherwise you just look silly and become the target of mocking and ridicule. ?
  11. Today in Pattern Recognition Theatre... Before 2017 Season..."Oh god, this roster looks terrible! Look at this team on paper! We're going to get the top pick in the draft! This front office is terrible! We suck!" 2017 Season...9-7, end of 17-year playoff drought. Seven point road playoff loss. Before 2018 Season..."Oh god, this roster looks terrible! Look at this team on paper! We're going to get the top pick in the draft! This front office is terrible! We suck!" ?
  12. Why obfuscate personal bias with silly things like evidence? ?
  13. Technically, Peterman played part of the Indy game and mop up in the Saints debacle. Back on track, i'm alright with the trade. You know Beenie's gonna use it to trade up another one of our picks.
  14. 2017 Bills were supposed to be the worst in the league. Rodak even said "...their season is over before it began." Click-bait. The Bad Luck Bills are easy to bash. Or, to give a straight answer, no. The Bills are not the worst team in the league.
  15. This isn't just about Darnold and Allen. It involves their respective O-lines as well, and those are far from equal.
  16. Oh, I'm well aware. I even noted I have a racist relative, which annoys me to no end. And why I ended with... It's there in degrees. But for some reason, and this is a recent phenomenon, there seems to be a huge upswing in racism and sexism claims when someone faces legitimate criticism. Having seen racism my whole life, those false claims bother me. It just gives ammo to the people that want to dismiss *all* claims of it outright by pointing out the false claims. In the end, and rereading your post, I actually think we're on the same page on this one.
  17. At what point was I angry? But thank you for demonstrating the mindset of "...if you criticize a black QB, you must be racist...". Which is, most ironically, a very racist thing to do.
  18. You...missed the entire point of my post. It was regarding how people are too quick to play the race card these days, and the idea of true racism verses legitimate criticism of a QB that just happens to be black.
  19. Tyrod playing the race card was sad. Got an eye-roll out of me, nothing more. Racism tends to be easy to spot. I have a relative that's racist and hated Tyrod from the start. Was plain to see though, all the comments were about black QBs never amounting to anything (ignoring players like Warren Moon), rather then any comment about his actual performance. The members here who make actual arguments against Tyrod, listing things such as his habit of checking down to quickly, or running a terrible two-minute drill are likely not racist. They simply don't like the performance they see, and would say the same if the QB had white, yellow, red or plaid skin. Racism is awful and sadly still exists in the world. But there seems to be a large spike in the number of racism claims made, with less and less evidence to support them. That only makes matters worse. Every comment like Tyrod's makes it harder for people to take legitimate claims seriously.
  20. Same, sadly. I was firmly in support of starting Allen, even behind a meh offensive line. Let him learn, let him get his lumps. I didn't buy into the whole "poor line play and pressure will ruin him" argument. But honestly, this line went beyond meh, and will get him killed. Allen is a rookie, and behind a decent or even meh line I still say start him. But he can't learn under conditions like yesterday. The game with starters is a lot faster, Allen himself admitted it. Start Nate, let Allen learn a little on the sideline. When the offensive line shows it can provide at least decent protection, put the kid in. And yes, that sentence was hard to type. I dislike the idea that our offensive line is actually going to stunt/delay Allen's development. From what I've seen, he's ready to at least start and go through his growing pains. But that line is abysmal. Peterman has a little experience and can get the ball out quicker. Behind this sad mockery of an o-line, that will be almost mandatory. Allen cannot learn behind, and may not even survive behind a line that looked like this...
  21. Name one member that actually said this. I'll go make breakfast while you try and find one.
  22. When you call a team that went 9-7 and made the playoffs "...nothing but losers..." it's near impossible to take you seriously. Or, to quote Buddy..."He's an angry elf." ?
  23. You're declaring Allen a bust already. I'd hope you're frowning...unless you're happy he's a (in your eyes) bust.
  24. Strangely, my optimistic nature allowed me to quite enjoy sitting in the stands next to my dad during The Comeback. I feel sorry for eternal pessimists, perpetual hopeless can be soul-crushing. I'll keep smiling, you keep frowning...and see who's enjoying their day more. ^.^
