  1. I agree 100%...plus there is this: Maybe we should take our foot off the gas after the first half so we can blow a lead and booted in the first round of the playoffs -or- Take our foot off the gas and let the other team get close so we can lose to a hail mary... When a team is down...finish the job...nobody is gonna feel sorry for us if we lose because we tried to play nice. We put our backups in against your starters...if you can't stop them are we just supposed to lay down on the field? Total ridiculousness!
  2. Odd that there were no highlights that included the last game against the Dolphins...they had Dolphin footage in the Vegas preview though. 😂
  3. Once John Brown gets back, I agree...its just a matter of where the ball bounces when we play KC. 🙂
  4. Seems like Oliver is playing some one tech, they noted it once in last week's game...not really using its skill set in the best way. I hope we get a big hole clogger in the middle for next year.
  5. I don't think Josh is really that much of an anomaly because his coaching in college was not up to the level of most first round QB's. His first year in the pros was kinda like the senior year of most college QB's...Allen had more areas to improve in, so it is taking him longer to hit his stride.
  6. Oh...sorry. I am still in awe of the interception call...lol. The PI was very close and I thought it was subjective, but the retired ref on TV agreed with the call. 🙂
  7. I agree with the OP...the old Josh came out in the second half...careless holding the ball, upsportsmanlike conduct, fumble, happy feet in the pocket. He did get it together enough to win in the end, but wow, the last quarter was UGLY.
  8. that was absolutely not an interception - its probably one of the worst calls I have ever seen. Kroft caught the ball clean and controlled it the entire time. If the defender gets his hands on it, it is a tie which always favors the offense.
  9. Personally, I think Cam is a poor man's Josh Allen. 🤑
  10. If I am Daboll, I come out 5 wide and dare the Jets to blitz. Between Allen's running ability, his deep possibilities, and a week Jets secondary, we should be successful offensively. I would also put Ford inside and Ty at right tackle.
  11. I need to play in your league. ? You can't be a Bill's homer and win in fantasy...at least not just yet. Lol...nice with Kittle. There is more than one way to skin a cat...I took second drafting Mahommes. Rivers came in handy also...I actually started Rivers the first few weeks.
  12. That is an interesting take...how does that work our for you? I typically take a QB in the later rounds and it usually pays dividends.
  13. Last year in fantasy, I drafted Mahommes late in the draft after picking up Rivers a round earlier. Needless to say, I hit some fantasy gold there. Do you feel like something similar could happen with Allen? I don't think he has the weapons that Mahommes had last year, but we are pretty deep with the ability to spread the ball around a lot. I think the key to success is if Morse says healthy. CBS posted this article today: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/2019-fantasy-football-draft-prep-quarterback-sleepers/?ftag=SPM-16-10abi8e They are looking for late round fantasy QB gold...and even mentioned rushing as one of the key things they were looking for. I don't know how Allen is not on the radar of any of these analysts...I could have sworn that somewhere I read that Allen was the highest scoring fantasy QB for the last 6 weeks of the season. Sorry I don't remember where I saw that...Among other things, he definitely checks the running QB box, though I hope not as much this year. Also, Lamar Jackson is listed several times...I would not touch him with a 10 foot pole personally. He is too much like Tyrod for my liking. What say you?
  14. Actually, the heat isn't as bad in Spartanburg...its in the mountains. Its still hot, but Columbia or Charleston hot.
  15. I was thinking the same thing...put Allen on that team, and they win. Or at least score.
  16. Peterman isn't even the first Buffalo Bill to reach this accomplishment...Jack Kemp also posted a 0.0
  17. I am also in South Jersey...we should get together and watch games. :-)
  18. I think 5 could be a nice bridge to go higher...and it will up the ante for any team wanting to get ahead of the Bills because fewer spots are available. I would think that it would make it extremely difficult for several teams who want QBs to move up.
  19. These threads crack me up...why did they do this, or that...I will tell you why, to make the Bills a better team. They probably wanted to unload Glenn because of lack of playing time and high salary. So, you dump him and get good value. It improves your draft stock and cap situation which is a win for the team. It gives you flexibility and a better opportunity to trade up if the situation presents itself. The truth of the matter is that when all these moves were made, there was no crystal ball to tell them what prospect would be available when, but improving your draft position only helps your situation. Now if they can find a trade partner, its easier to move up...if that doesn't happen, they get a prospect with a higher chance for a successful career...again it makes the Bills a better team. You can't judge this draft solely on the fact that they are able to move up and get one of the big 4 QB's because it takes 2 to tango. Maybe they stay put and Rudolph is the next Big Ben. I wouldn't even care if they "reach" for him at 12 to be sure they get him...if they like him that much. In any event, Beane will do whatever he feels is best for the team under the circumstances that present themselves on draft day...or before.
  20. Very enlightening response. Thank you. I will be sure to post more often.
  21. I honestly believe that is the truth as of right now...for several reasons: 1. I have heard this from two separate sources 2. He is on record saying he likes his draft picks 3. We have a TON of holes to fill 4. He is also on record saying that price to move up to grab one of the top few qbs is prohibitive. I expect them to be smart about it and grab a prospect like Rudolph or Jackson with one of the first round picks. You have to remember there is a ton of depth in this QB class there are some really good QBs that were not drafted in the 5 picks. Maybe he likes one of the "lesser" QBs. That said...if one of them falls far enough to where it makes sense to move up, then I would think he would do it. I am fine with this strategy...a lot of people want the team to sell out to grab a great QB, but I don't think is a great strategy...I know QB is extremely important, but if you don't have the surrounding cast, what good is it. A QB can elevate your team, but just how much? Especially a rookie. What has Luck done for the crappy Colts team? I think they are taking a very measured approach to the draft, which is what I think is the best way to go about business.
