  1. Nobody can predict what is going to happen. How good the team will be in a few years. What they will do with the top 5 draft pick and ton of cap to spend. What we do know is they have made many questionable decisions thus far. They have made the cap situation worse. They have appeared to added some bad contracts, The free agent signings have failed for the most part. They do not seem to have a good read on players - Davis this year, Boldin last year, etc. So we all have reason to be worried, With all the money in the world and picks to make what have we see that gives us confidence? Who is to say with $100M to spend we dont wind up with a bunch more of Star, Davis, Boldin, Coleman, AJM, Murphy, Bodine, Newhouse, Ivory, K Benjamin, J Matthews, etc. What signings or trades have worked?
  2. Rumor is Tyler just retired from football half way through his try out...
  3. Zero career int's in college. Dominated. https://www.footballdb.com/college-football/players/tyler-ferguson-fergu0045
  4. But we have a lack of it all. Minimal young talent, minimal older talent, no real building blocks as Allen and Edmunds are both unknowns. When you purge the young talent you did not draft and replace with older guys and nobodys thats what happens.
  5. Plus we are paying: Star $11M Hughes $10M McCoy $9M Clay $9M Murphy $8.5M They could all be gone.
  6. I predict Shady is out in a few weeks. Then gone after this year.
  7. Who are the building blocks on this roster? I see only: QB - Allen we hope WR - Can Zay be a solid #2 or #3 LT - Dawkins we hope RB - Can Miller turn it around DT - Phillips can be solid LB - Edmunds we hope CB - White is legit S - Hyde has a few years s - Poyer maybe That is not a lot
  8. Star - Has looked bad. Many said it was a bad contract. Trent Murphy - Gave him $22M Vontae Davis - $4.3M Ivory - Big $ for 3rd RB Corey Coleman - $3M for a tryout AJ Mc - Costing a few million this and next year Richie - Extended then quits and costing us $ Kerley - Cut and eat $ This is just a start. It is alarming at how many moves are turning out bad vs ones that have gone right.
  9. What is the excuse? Shouldn't this unit be improved from last year? McD and team had a year to buld the defense how they wanted. They hadded guys and got rid of guys. There were no surprises or losses that they did not decide upon.
  10. :Makes no sense: Release A Washington after week 1. He played 30+ snaps. Release Kerley after week 1. He played 40+ snaps. So lets cut a serviceable DT. Then cut one of our few NFL caliber WR's to sign a similarly serviceable DT. Could these moves not have been made a few weeks ago too?
  11. Not to mention his legs. I think Kaep could be a similar guy as Tyrod. With the right offense he prob has more upside though. My concern would be does he really still want to play football? Or is his heart somewhere else now.
  12. Raiders only take Peterman if we throw in a 1st round pick. Otherwise they will give us AJ back for a 7th.
  13. At this point I am all for letting Allen ride this season out. But if he gets hurt or we need a number two I do not want to see Peterman back on the filed. So what is the plan at back up? I like the idea of a vet mentor guy. Also see taking a look at guys with potential. Some ideas below. Usual has been: D Anderson M Moore Huh Jay Cutler Colin Kaepernick Really Paxton Lynch Davis Webb I have heard of him Ryan Nassib Johnny Football
  14. Exactly. Whose fault is it thats your only option. I ate dog poo for dinner because I forgot to go grocery shopping. I went home with a one legged midget with no arms and a beard because there were no other girls at the bar.
  15. McDermott said, when asked if he regretted starting Peterman against the Ravens. "I felt like that was the right move and I'll take that to my grave."
  16. There are tons and to s of guys that play well in preseason, etc and never see the field or even make the team. The coaches have blinders on when it comes to Peterman for some reason. I think its an ego thing. This is telling right here. Very defensive and odd when to answer the question - take it to my grave? Huh. McDermott said, when asked if he regretted starting Peterman against the Ravens. "I felt like that was the right move and I'll take that to my grave."
  17. And this was a playoff team last year. You should not see this kind of drop off. Problem is when coaches/gm's think they are smarter than everyone else.
  18. Yes - his stats place him at the bottom of the list over the past 30 years.
  19. I felt the same way about EJ as Peterman. He was not good enough. I do agree that EJ would be an upgrade. It is that sad. I would have been pissed if they signed Fitz and he was starting over Allen. But at least he is capable. Instead we are going with a guy that just has no business being on the field.
  20. As someone else said - You always want to strive to be the best at something. He is the best at being awful in record breaking fashion.
  21. Allen is a top 10 pick. People have accepted he has work to do. He has a very long leash with the fans. Peterman on the other is a 5th round pick. He has shows what he can do and it should be clear he is not an NFL starter. It is insane to have him starting.
  22. Lets just give him 17 years of sucking then. He can start Peterman for 17 years too.
  23. 5 losses by more than 20 points in 17 regular season games. Rex Ryan had zero in his two seasons. Doug Marrone had one in his two seasons.
