  1. It's pretty much consensus at this point that Allen is a top 5-10 prospect, with Mel Kiper even having him as the #1 pick right now. Allen is going to come across well in the interviews and his physical tools will continue to wow scouts even if the accuracy/footwork isn't there yet. He's certainly in the conversation to be the 1st QB taken.
  2. If a guy is going to take 7 years to develop like Keenum, he just isn't worth a draft pick. That's far too long to wait.
  3. I’d rather they take a different position than having them think Rudolph is the franchise QB they’ve been searching for.
  4. He literally just arrived. I would guess Buffalo will get to him later.
  5. Them meeting with every other QB (sans Lauletta and Tanner Lee) makes me feel better about them meeting with Rudolph. I'm just so concerned they'll take Rudolph in the 1st or 2nd round and i'll be so disappointed. Interviewing everyone else at least gives me the hope that it's just due diligence though.
  6. Jeremiah isn't saying Barkley will be the #1 pick in the draft. He's saying he's the best player in the draft. Just because he's the best player doesn't necessarily mean it makes sense to take him there value wise. For example, all the big boards from last year that didn't have a QB listed in their top 20 didn't mean that they thought Trubisky, Watson, and Mahomes were all reaches on draft day.
  7. He had a family emergency and is expected to arrive there sometime around now; his measurements will reportedly be released tomorrow morning.
  8. This is a great draft for RBs. Michel looks very good (assuming you trust him to stay healthy). I personally like Ronald Jones the most (excluding Barkley since Buffalo has no shot at him), but there's like 10-15 good looking RBs in this class.
  9. I like him too, but his hands measured out to be relatively small and now people are going back and noticing that he double-caught a lot of balls this year. I'm kinda intrigued with Washington; he has a weird build. Only a little under 5'11" but his wingspan is the same as Ateman's and his hands are pretty large; curious to see how he tests at the combine/how his routes look. He's generally considered to be a raw route runner who's more smooth rather than explosive athletically. I'm not convinced any of the 3 OKST guys will be taken before the 3rd round.
  10. Height, weight, hand size, yes. Not ball velocity; that's just a Combine thing. http://walterfootball.com/seniorbowl2018weighinQB.php
  11. No, his advanced stats are just not good at all. His accuracy is below par to begin with, but add to that the fact that he plays in a pro style system (rather than the open spreads most of the other guys are in) with a truly wretched supporting cast that probably don't deserve to be playing Division 1 football and you have all the ingredients you need for some ugly numbers.
  12. PFF grades him as like the actual worst QB in the entire draft. I'm not sure they'd have him in their mock even if it were a 7 round mock.
  13. It depends on the trade offers, but I'd probably trade back as long as it isn't a long ways back. I prefer Lamar over Darnold/Rosen anyways, so it seems like there's a decent chance to have my cake and eat it too.
  14. This is definitely the big concern with him from the games I've watched at least. He'd probably be a decent fit for the offensive scheme I expect Buffalo to utilize, but not necessarily in Buffalo's atmosphere.
  15. I've watched a few of his games...I prefer him over Mason Rudolph at least. I have Lauletta as my #6 QB right now (the top 5 all being deserving of being taken in the 1st round IMO). He shows really good ball placement on his throws. However, I don't think the arm strength is very good. Rudolph also doesn't have good arm strength, but he's at least able to get the ball downfield by adding more arc to it; Rudolph just struggles to throw with velocity (and does have a tendency to underthrow due to putting too much arc). Lauletta's velocity is probably slightly better than Rudolph, but he struggles more to actually get it down the field. He also, much like Rudolph, doesn't show very much in terms of going through progressions. Lastly, he's already had a torn ACL, which isn't a career ending thing anymore, but obviously it's not a great thing to have in your medical history. I'm definitely curious to see how he looks at the Senior Bowl and Combine; for now, I'd be alright taking him in like the 3rd round. With his ball placement, I think there's at least some hope that he can turn into a starting QB; the only QB in this draft class that I'd for sure put above him in terms of ball placement is Mayfield.
  16. The fact that he has a larger wingspan than his 6'4" teammate is shocking. I think this process is going to be huge for him. Based strictly on his film, he's probably a late Day 2 or early Day 3 pick; he'll be asked to show far more polish as a route runner through the draft process. The long arms, good hands, and solid speed is all promising but the OKST system doesn't demand much in terms of the technique out of their WRs. Edit: longer arms, not wingspan; wingspan is essentially identical. Still pretty surprising given the difference in height though.
  17. He's saying because you said "Manziel" instead of Mayfield haha
  18. Yes, he's one of the 6 semi-successful guys drafted in the past decade that had hands the size of Rudolph's.
  19. No, they've already announced that his measurements will be released later today. He had a family emergency yesterday.
  20. I went back and edited my list...basically, over the past decade, you find 1 semi-successful QB every 2 years with hands the size of Rudolph's. 6 out of 40 with his hand size could be considered borderline successful.
  21. To be fair, this only covers 2008-2013. Including 2014-2017, you get the follow list of semi-successful/jury's still out QBs with hands as small as Rudolph: Kaepernick Keenum Derek Carr Bridgewater Jimmy Garappolo Jared Goff Pat Mahomes Davis Webb Ryan Tannehill Edit: I was looking at 9 1/4 instead of 9 1/8. Bridgewater, Mahomes, and Webb all have bigger hands than Rudolph.
  22. Benkert and Lauletta are roughly the league average for NFL QBs. That measurement will actually probably hurt Rudolph at least a little bit; one of the few things he has going for him is his NFL size, but he doesn't have the arm strength or hand size that usually comes along with it.
  23. Mahomes has incredible arm strength, had surprisingly solid accuracy for a guy with the poor footwork he has, and has the ability to make something out of nothing. He has a ton of potential if you can teach him to play a little more within the system.
  24. Campbell is returning to school.
  25. I'm curious to see how people react to that. I personally think all of it (besides becoming a better person because how would I know?) is true, but I'm sure people will be annoyed that he's seemingly making excuses/is saying he put the team on his back when the defense was much better than the offense this season.
