  1. Of taking d lineman! No issue with the thread, that was my opinion on the subject
  2. Would I take a great offensive coach who does a lot of dumb **** over a good defensive coach who does a lot of dumb ****? Yes but would prefer neither. Who knows, maybe if Shanahan has Allen he doesn't throw away 50 seconds +1 TO at the end of the first half, or isn't afraid to "answer" Mahomes in OT.
  3. This is not the worst idea I've ever heard
  4. Because it gives you the best chance to win the game.
  5. Will be interesting to see what happens with Dak and Tua. I don't think Purdy is going to accept less than those guys considering he put of similar number plus played in a Superbowl.
  6. Almost every game we play vs the chiefs is 50/50 The Patriots owned us for 20 years.....
  7. Sure if those scenarios play out then getting the ball first is better. Those scenarios aren't going to happen too often. If decision A gives you an advantage 80% of the time, and decision B gives you an advantage 20% of the time, seems like there is a pretty clear choice, no?
  8. No I didn't realize that. And I definitely did not point out in my OP that the players made several executional errors. Definitely not. I think Shanahan made several key mistakes last night, some painfully obvious and bad. Doesn't need to be this or that. Both players and coaching had a hand in the loss. Shanahan has now lost three SBs where he had double digits leads. And is developing a history of making questionable decisions on big games. Something to talk about, it's the offseason.
  9. The Chiefs would have gone for 2 if both teams scored a TD. Players confirmed that after the game.
  10. One thing I should have also mentioned, to be fair, is that all 3 of those SB losses came against what will likely end up being the two greatest dynasties and HC/QB combos in NFL history. I do think he is a great coach. But he makes a lot of mistakes that he should not be making. He is still young. I think he will get over the hump one day.
  11. The guy gets praised as an offensive genius and rightfully so, but he sure does choke in big games. 3 superbowls with double digit leads. 3 losses. (2 as HC) Several examples of players not executing last night, including fumbles and missed passes, so not all coaching. But it starts at the top and Bills fans should know, it's hard to overcome a HC that puts the team in bad spots. Questionable calls on multiple key third downs, not prepared at all for KC blitz Stretch where it seemed like he got away from the run too much Could have got the ball back before halftime with 50 seconds and 1TO, but elected to let the clock run out Chose to receive in OT, which is inexcusable IMO. And then made it even worse by kicking the FG instead of going for a TD Players didn't even know the overtime rules until they saw it on the jumbotron before OT
  12. Ed Oliver is not "elite". He's had one season where he played at an elite level and in that season he was a complete no show in the playoffs.
  13. Even if you achieve best case scenario on your opening drive and score a TD, you then put your defense at a big disadvantage because the best QB in the NFL has 4 downs the entire drive to score a TD and then go for 2. You never take the ball first. IMO
  14. You always kick IMO. If they had kicked and the Chiefs got their TD first, 49ers would have been much better off. Then they are forced to go for it on 4th downs, and can't settle for a FG.
  15. I agree. We will likely go into the playoffs missing half our roster while the chiefs biggest injury is their backup OLB. But next year is the year we find a way. I feel way more optimistic right now then I did after last year's playoff loss.
  16. Shanahan is such a ****ing moron. You never take the ball first. Kick it and then when the chiefs score the TD you force yourself to go for it on 4th downs. Shanahan is the reason they lost this game. For many reasons not just that one.
  17. Very surprised he they didn't take one more shot at the endzone. Wow.
  18. Reid >>>>>>> Shanahan and it's not close
  19. How does SF come out of the two minute warning and not have an answer for that. All out blitz someone should have been wide open for 5 yards.
  20. Huge huge huge 3rd down here. Need some Shanahan magic.
  21. Clearly holding Boss
  22. 49ers just giving this game away
  23. Shanahan is just brutal in big games. 49ers defense is going to have to win this.
  24. Luckiest team ever it's sickening
