So Carmichael to the Broncos. I still think Sean Ryan makes a lot of sense. He is freely available working for a college I believe.

who is a must have on this list of Bills UFA?
MrEpsYtown replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
To my naked eye, it looked like they got away from that a bit towards the end of the year. I felt like Oliver was in there a lot more than he was in earlier in the regular season. I agree with you. Oliver should be like 90% of the snaps and DQ probably around 75. -
I wish there was a trade to be made for Aiyuk, maybe a DB and some picks. Not sure why the 9ers would move him, but he will be pretty expensive going forward with a lot of money tied up in veterans on their team, especially at the skill positions. I'm sure they would find a way to make it work with a very cheap QB on the books. But a guy like Aiyuk would be a great fit with Josh.

Bills interview Mike Caldwell for Open DC Job
MrEpsYtown replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watching the Jaguars the few times I did, Caldwell very much seems like hybrid guy, which isn’t the worst thing. But he’s had some good influences, playing for Belichick and Saban in Cleveland, Jim Johnson and McDermott, as well as Ron Rivera, Leslie Frazier and Steve Spangolo in Philly. He also has experience coaching under Todd Bowles. So an interesting guy to add to the staff. -
In my life anyone named Mac, Braden, Riley, Taylor have always been massive douchebags.

Yeah, I like Carmichael. I think it is a no-brainer. Haley I threw out there as an outside-the-box guy. He was with the Steelers for awhile, then had 1 year with Hue Jackson's Browns and has since been coaching in the USFL. Just to add Haley is a Bill Parcells guy who got his start under him with the Jets before following Parcells and Sean Payton to Dallas. So there should be crossover and familiarity there.

I typically am a height-weight-speed type of guy, but I don't care anymore. I just want smart people (running the right routes) and blazing fast. Speed kills and we have none.

See I made a joke about McConkey being popular on the board and no one seemed to get it besides @Clyde Smith and @DrDawkinstein But here we are. Getting ready to hear about him a lot this offseason. Cooper DeJean too...and of course Ricky Pearsall.

Just hire Pete Carmichael Jr. He was really good for the Saints for many years and he's a super experienced sounding board for Joe Brady who has extensive knowledge of the system. He would be a great extra pair of eyes for Brady and Carmichael was with Drew Brees for a long time back to their San Diego days, so I have to give him some credit for what Brees did in NO. I think an experienced coach is what he needs. He's been coached by kids ever since Daboll left. Sean Ryan was the QB coach in Carolina and worked for Bill O'Brien, Tom Coughlin etc. I don't know about his style, but he is also an experienced name out there. Former Eagles OC, Brian Johnson would be a nice get if he doesn't get a job as an OC somewhere. Outside the box thinking, Todd Haley is known to be pretty abrasive, is an E-P coach, and could do good things for Josh, or he could ruin him. I could also see Thad Lewis coming over if the Bucs bypass him for the OC position. He is a young guy, so I am not sure that is ideal.

So here is a breakdown of Brady's LSU stuff. Looks to be a mix of wide spread stuff and compressed bunch formations which is a lot of what we saw towards the end of the year. https://www.stateoftheu.com/2022/1/28/22904266/miami-hurricanes-football-film-review-joe-brady-bunch-sets-as-oc-rumors-come-full-circle-cristobal A breakdown of his smash of stuff. A lot of this stuff looks familiar.

Det @ SF Game Thread (Please keep the Bills stuff out of this thread)
MrEpsYtown replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep he’s still tough and still terrible -
Have to outscore them. Defense doesn’t matter. Draft speed skill players

I’m ok with it. As others have said, I wish they had a real search and interviewed Kellen Moore, Kingsbury etc. but here we are. If we didn’t hire Brady as the OC someone else would have, so I’m fine with it. I like Brady and hopefully he dusts off some of that LSU magic.

I told you guys Brown was gonna be good! I’m wrong a lot so I will take this slight victory! Much improved this year.
