  1. In fairness, it was really Shakir who replaced McKenzie in the lineup with about the same percentage of snap counts with slightly more production but Shakir was way more efficient. Harty only played like 13 percent of the offensive snaps, which was disappointing and a clear bust. Sherfield was a liability and on the field too much. Combined they played about 46 percent of the snaps.
  2. So who is really a number 1 receiver these days? Like a true, true 1? Jefferson Lamb Chase Hill St. Brown Like what are guys like Adams, AJ Brown, DJ Moore, Devonta Smith, Nacua, Nico Collins, Mike Evans, Deebo, Aiyuk etc. Diggs? And I am being honest here. The call for a 1 or 2 receiver I get it, but where’s the line? Because true #1s to me are pretty few and far between.
  3. That’s crazy. The funny thing is that ages for guys coming out of college are going to fluctuate so much with all the transfer portal stuff.
  4. Yes I agree. Wilkins is a monster and I think Holland is a dude, but I was not impressed with their defense either.
  5. I mean he’s almost as young as Tremaine. I kid I kid
  6. Oliver was also handled by Nick Allegretti for 13 plays after Thuney got hurt. So that is definitely on him. But to me Washington/McDermott did not dial up any sort of twists or games on the line to take advantage of a historically awful left tackle and a RT who struggled all year. The tackles were the weak link and the Bills did not attack them. I have to say I thought the gameplan, or at least what it appeared to be, outside rush to contain Mahomes, stymied any pass rush they might get.
  7. Agreed! I did not want to be too much of a homer!
  8. I think it is a fair question, I think it’s obvious his talent is off the charts, he just played for a complete idiot loser coach. I’m based because I have always loved his game. He can do everything those other guys can do. His 2021 season is pretty much what earned him that extension.
  9. I think its tiers… Josh Lamar Mahomes and Burrow are their own tier imo. Then it’s Herbert (he’s close to those guys and will get there with Harbaugh) Then its guys like Hurts, Stafford, Dak…Goff had a great year. Then young guys who are on their way, Lawrence, Stroud, Love Then its mid Tua, Purdy, Baker Mayfield… And old guys who were elite Rodgers, Wilson. And old guys who were meh Carr, Cousins etc. All my opinions.
  10. Yeah I was watching the Kiper mock draft and one of talking heads said Daboll comes from the Andy Reid tree, I was yelling at the TV. He goes all the way back to Michigan State with Saban. Late 90s
  11. I agree, I was making a somewhat tongue in cheek joke that I thought worked 🤷‍♂️
  12. He has gotten as far as McDermott, which is the AFC championship game. My point is he did it without a QB. He was also NFL coach of the year in 2021.
  13. I give Vrabel a pass on the AJ Brown stuff. Based on what is going down with Brown in Philly, I think they got out in front selling a potentially toxic asset. There is something fishy there and Vrabel and his brainstrust somehow kept it quiet. I would hire Vrabel in a second. He holds the players accountable and is abrasive. We need some of that around here. The biggest difference in his wins vs. McDermott's is that Vrabel won with Ryan freakin Tannehill.
  14. It certainly feels like they could go all in on Kyle Dugger with how much they liked him pre-draft. Jeremy Chinn is an interesting case. He looked like a game-breaker drafted for Steve Wilks' defense, then with all the defensive changes he kind of got lost in the shuffle in terms of his fit. He could potentially fit here, but he needs to be a full-time safety, not just a big nickel.
  15. We have a high floor/low ceiling coach with maybe the highest ceiling QB ever. Time to rip it and let him go do his thing.
  16. Yeah he's just limited. he is what he is as an okay depth corner which teams need. But if he has to start a critical playoff game or for long stretches you are in trouble.
  17. Truly under the radar... Jalen Guyton. Whenever I watched the Chargers he was making plays. He had a bit of an off year coming off 2 injury-riddled years and Herbert's injury so he is the kind of guy who could take that one-year deal and explode. I like his potential. Van Jefferson has bounced around a little and hasn't emerged yet. there is a lot of potential there imo. He had a great 2021 with the Rams, got hurt, and fell off. He could earn himself a ton of money by coming to play with Josh. He has the pedigree and needs a chance to bounce back. Scotty Miller. I wanted them to sign him last year. He has speed and he has some joystick to him. He's never really had that full opportunity to be a guy, but there is a lot of Cole Beasley in there with 4.3 speed. Those are my three under-the-radar cheap guys who could explode and earn some money with Josh.
  18. I'm one of those "no IOL or RTs in the first round" guys, but I absolutely loved the pick in round 2.
  19. For sure, I just don't see it happening at one of the most critical positions in his scheme. I don't want this to turn into another McDermott thread, but he truly needs to evolve and I just don't think he has it in him. Usually, guys have to get fired to learn their lesson and adjust like Reid, Belichick, Pete Caroll. We do need an infusion of youth and talent at the safety position.
  20. From what I seen of Bishop I think he is a good fit. I am not sure McDermott will trust the position to a rookie, but we do need an infusion of youth and depth at that position. I think they bring back Taylor Rapp who just turned 26 and got a ton better as the year went on. Plus he has a ring.
  21. Rd1: Cooper DeJean Rd2: Cole Bishop Rd3: Braiden McGregor Rd4: Ladd McConkey Rd5: Will Shipley Rd5: Tommy Eichenberg It’s like a message board wet dream! I kid, I kid
  22. What’s crazy is that this is the downside of Allen’s humility and ultimate respect. Sometimes the truth hurts and difficult decisions need to be made. At the end of the day, that’s the only way change can happen. We need Josh to save us once again.
  23. 2022 getting Cook, Bernard, Benford, Shakir is super impressive work. So I give him credit there. Elam is a massive whiff and it gets even more annoying when they basically traded Tyler Linderbaum and Jordan Stout for Elam. It just hurts.
  24. @GunnerBill went into some detail on this in another thread. Elam’s skills do not translate well to the position of safety.
  25. Torrence looked really good. He had some rookie moments, specifically on the inside rush, but I like him a lot. Him and Kincaid are homeruns.
