What is your gut telling you right now?
MrEpsYtown replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the team that gets hot who goes on a run historically. That is us. The only thing I worry about is the injuries and the refs. But I believe we are the better team. -
I would think Martin is the guy if cleared. 100%

Good call! Carmichael is a good coach. Not sure about play calling…but he would be a good fit to assist Brady as a QB coach if Brady is indeed named the full time guy. It’s doubling down on Brady and the E-P system. That’s fine with me as long as they fully commit to the vision.

Cam has been fine in the safety spot when they go into certain dime packages. Once he went to nickel for Taron Johnson he got eaten alive and he was awful. I don't think he is a starter in this league, but ok as a safety.
-
Dugger is a really nice fit. But I agree, I think the fun exercise is to try and find the "slow" zone corners in free agency who could make the switch to safety like Poyer and Hyde did. Now I assume they cut White, but if they don't Dougals and White at corner with Benford at free safety is probably not too bad.

Return of the Haack (Bills sign P Matt Haack)
MrEpsYtown replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well at least he is an elite holder -
I love em, I think one of them will stay for one more year. I know free agency is probably not the way, but it is a very strong safety class... Antoine Winfeild Jr. Kyle Dugger Kamren Curl (same system) Xavier McKinney Jordan Whitehead Chauncey Gardner-Johnson Julian Blackmon Darnell Savage Geno Stone P.J. Locke Jeremy Chinn etc...

Pat O’Donnell as I mentioned above is probably the best veteran avalable. Was a surprise cut in camp. Haack has been mentioned. Another lefty they have been around before and is a free agent is Michael Palardy, neither of these guys are ideal in my opinion. Drue Chrisman is out there, young, but has some experience and was good for Cincy at times. Got hurt in camp and lost his job, but they drafted his replacement the year before anyway. Young guys Araiza and guys like Michael Turk are available but have not taken a regular season snap yet.

I got Pat O’Donnell on the short list, bet used to very cold weather. I would be surprised if Araiza is the move, but I’d be good with it. Haack has proven he isn’t very good in the cold. Probably not the right move in my opinion, but maybe his holding helps Bass.

AJ Klein had reservations with family for Key West this weekend
MrEpsYtown replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Huge play there and unbelievable awareness, he read the play the whole time. I wish I could put his brain in Williams’ body. -

agreed. He is at his best when he is playing with a chip on his shoulder. All those commercials did him no favors. This is the “prove everyone wrong” version of Baker. -

Winfield is a free agent this offseason -
Pat O’Donnell is probably the answer if Martin is out. Vet who is used to kicking in Chicago and Green Bay. Most recently was on the Falcons practice squad and is a free agent.

Josh GOES OFF and SLAMS nflpa over All-Pro snub
MrEpsYtown replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Love it! -
Tom Brady was the master of the E-P system and the one thing that he always had was football intelligent receivers. Maybe he was more demanding of them or whatever, but it was kind of rare seeing guys run the wrong route in that system with the Pats. Troy Brown, Gronk, Welker etc...those guys understood the job and spacing. Then you add a highly football-intelligent guy like Randy Moss and the sky is the limit. That's why Edelman was such a great player, a former QB who understood coverages and played WR like a QB. Plus Brady had backs like Kevin Faulk and James White who understood this as well. People have said it, but that's the dynamic Cole Beasley brought to this offense that is still missing. Kincaid is interesting and doing some of those things but he is still raw and Shakir has done some good stuff, but there needs to be a changeover in that room. Beasley was almost always right and he was the difference. I thought Beasley would be easily replaceable. I was wrong. In my opinion, with Beasley, Josh was at his best because he didn't rush through progressions...he knew his safety valve was always in the right place. So I think the Bills have two choices going forward, either change the offensive system or change the type of receivers they target and acquire. Really strong breakdown by Warner.

Yep!

McDaniel is weird, but he seems like a good coach. He does not seem like a leader of men, so we shall see where this all goes long-term. Also, maybe I am just old and out of touch, but what was Jerome baker wearing at the end?

Leslie Fraizer Interviewing with Chargers
MrEpsYtown replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall
He will not get that job. I could see him becoming the DC for the Giants. To me, Frazier's only shot is a franchise that is bottoming out and needs someone to coach them through a rebuild. Maybe the Titans if they go full rebuild. -
Brandon Beane should be Executive of the Year.
MrEpsYtown replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even Tenuta is hanging around in the league on IR for the Packers, so even though he isn't with us, he is still around, and for a late-round guy that is pretty impressive. And obviously, Araiza would be around if it wasn't for the off-field stuff. -
These media people just say whatever with no repercussions for their hot takes. If the Bills lose in the playoffs they will all come back around and say "I told you so." Anything short of the Super Bowl you still have to deal with all these idiots.

Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.
MrEpsYtown replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hopefully all my hate for Mason Rudolph and how much I thought he sucked in the draft process comes to fruition -
For Spector to come in at linebacker, with so little preparation time and experience, against that offense with all that misdirection and pre-snap movement, honestly was super impressive.
