  1. They will not keep 8. They will definitely keep nine and maybe 10. They kept 9 last year and had ton of injuries and had to find street players like Jeremiah Sirles to make up for it. He started games for us and was our backup center after Bodine got hurt. This regime will not keep 8 because they are all about contingencies and they made a mistake by not being ready for line injuries last year. They won't make the same mistake twice. I don't worry about cuts going deep. If that happens, then that means we found better players, and that is a great thing. Your points on Fisher do make sense, but at 275 or whatever weight he is going to play at, he's not going to be able to play tackle anymore. IMO, they have one tight end on the roster who is a lock, and that is Tyler Kroft. I think that will be a very fluid position.
  2. You keep at least nine guys, probably ten. If I drafted Risner and Scharping my line would be Dawkins-Spain-Morse-Risner-Nsekhe Scharping-Waddle-Long-Feliciano Teller probably makes it as a 10th guy. I cut everyone else Vlad, Bodine, Boettger, McDermott etc.
  3. So 64 would work? I like the idea of 91. No ten would be for QBs, kickers, or WR...they changed the rules to make it more feasible, but he can't wear ten. He could wear 50-79 and 90-99
  4. I forgot about McGovern. I like him a lot too. I feel like McCoy may go before our pick. He's good value here.
  5. 90 after Shaq is traded?
  6. That guy should be Risner...100%. Though I will say that Spener Long has a lot of nasty in his gme.
  7. I think Risner or Taylor would be great. I do think Max Scharping is the best left tackle prospect left. I really like his game. I think he could play the right side too. Perfect world, Risner to plug in at RG and Scharping to push Dawkins and Nsehke and to take over either in 2020. Risner round 2, Scharping 3/4. Then there are guys like Nate Davis etc still on the board.
  8. I think he is channeling all the anger that he holds from how all of the Colts fans and media prognosticators crapped all over his son for years. Basically saying they know nothing.
  9. McDermott needs to stick to clapping and coaching DBs and forget about the metaphor life.
  10. Mort that's kind of a weird thing to think about when going to bed. Was Murphy wearing his open hoodie showing off his abs too?
  11. Yeah I really did not allow myself to enjoy the moment because I was so worried they would screw it up. It was like, hope, relief, elation.
  12. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2019-nfl-draft-best-available-prospects-for-round-2-highlighted-by-drew-lock-greedy-williams-a-j-brown/ Anyone else find it funny, that for the second year in a row, Chris Trapasso's QB1 best quarterbacks in the draft (Mason Rudolph, Drew Lock) are still avalable after round 1? Maybe he should stop analyzing quarterbacks?
  13. I don't know that there is a more perfect fit than Byron Murphy. He's a McDermott corner created in a lab. That said I really think the edge need with Ferguson could win out. I'd be ecstatic with Risner as a plug and play guard. I'm good with Metcalf at this point as well.
  14. To me 1 of Murphy, Ferguson, or Risner are the most obvious adds. Either that or one of the receivers. I'm excited about teh amount of talent...now don't go off the board and draft Torrell Troup.
  15. Yeah I'm not sure I like teh upside of Sternberger. Knox and Oliver seem a lot more interesting. Maybe Oliver can become the new Williams?
  16. Playing that video was in extremely bad taste.
  17. ESPN does more analysis and more film than NFL at this point. NFL network is way too glitzy. Tomorrow all they will do is talk about today with no highlights or film stuff. ESPN is better at that. I like Riddick and I actually like Kiper who they seeem like they are trying to phase out. Wingo and Booger are awful. Wingo is a total douche who makes the worst jokes. He's not funny and he's annoying.
  18. Risner Ferguson Murphy ar the best matches imo. Metcalf if he is there
  19. Jaylon Ferguson Dalton Risner Byron Murphy
  20. Perfect fit. And so excited. His reaction made me think of Gilmores sad face. This guy is gonna Ben great and a fan favorite.
  21. I love his game. he's really smart and understands routes and what the quarterback is thinking. He finds spots. He's like a huge Cole Beasley. He's also really good with contested catches and in the red zone. One of my draft crushes.
  22. He won't make a ton because the 9ers are going to eat the cap hit. I think his salary is like 3 million this year. I think it would be higher next season. Not sure how all that signing bonus stuff works.
  23. He was playing end. this year they used him as more of a tackle, and he was better, but still did not generate sacks. I think he's a better fit in the McDermott system.
  24. He's a solid player...but he doesn't get sacks and that has been the issue. I think he projects better in our defense whether he plays end or tackle.
