A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought NE would turn it over or miss the kick on the final drive. They have been screwing up for three years. Especially last year. Unfortunately...it did not happen -
Is the first head coach firing upcoming?

If the Dolphins fire McDaniel, the Bills need to seriously consider bringing him in as an offensive assistant at minimum. -
The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
Billsfanatic8989 replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen was off all night. But I give him the benefit of the doubt. No QB is going to be great every single game. Sometimes it's going to be a struggle. I expect him to continue to play at an MVP level. The defense....different story. Sometimes you need a D to step up and help a struggling offense. If one guy needs to be perfect to win games, this team will never win a SB. -

Nope. Very few can get seperation. And Allen has to scramble and find as much time as possible to get it to them. Need someone who can consistently beat man and take the top off of defenses. Why they stopped going to Kincaid I don't get. New England had trouble stopping him. You keep going to what works. -
He will once again keep those great stats in tact because he was on the bench. All the while his team gets obliterated. My big question is: was his injury so bad that it was impossible for him to start. Would Allen play if he had that injury. Mahomes?

Bills usually get better as the season progresses. The fourth week of January is usually where the stumble occurs.

No More Whiteouts again ever in Buffalo Bills history
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had a weird feeling about it from the start. It seemed "off". -
We will crush them in the rematch

I don't think NE wins the division this or next year. They will be WC contenders. And keep in mind...they have to pay Maye the highest contract in NFL history. Assuming he keeps getting better. Spring of 2027. Unfortunately, I do believe Maye will be a top tier QB and Vrabel is a top tier HC. They are very young. So time will tell.

10/5/2025 GAMEDAY Bills vs Patriots Post Game Thread SNF

I think they will win a SB together before McDermott and Allen do. And that's not a knock on Allen. It's a knock on McDermott. -
Strong chance Ravens miss playoffs?

Lamar has no choice but to play next week. 1-5 is basically a death kill. -

Let's hope the Patriots join them The same thing is going on in Buffalo. -
Diggs coming back to Highmark Sunday Night
Billsfanatic8989 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen doesn't need very good receivers to be successful these days. But that was not the case before Diggs came along. Without Diggs, Allen would not be what he is today. It was time for him to go at the end. But his impact was positive...for the most part. -

Billsfanatic8989 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Maye is capable of putting TD's on the board. Not just move the ball and stall. Like Rattler for instance. The D needs to get turnovers off him. The Patriots D is vulnerable. So Allen should be able to get at least 24 points. Vrabel is the x-factor. He has had success limiting top tier QB's before. -
Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone
Billsfanatic8989 replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because we haven't won the SB. It's that simple. Fans would still complain if they had won it. But it wouldn't be a large majority. The biggest fear is that the defense is going to get obliterated by a great team in the postseason. Which has happened more than a few times. Thus far, I've seen nothing to show that will not occur again.- 88 replies

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's hard to judge because of how decimated on D the Ravens are. I think the Panthers would have put up alot of points on them today. He is a key addition of course. But time will tell. In fact, time will tell with alot of teams. No team out there is a juggernaut. There is no 2007 Patriots or 2013 Broncos type team. -

Are people saying Maye is legit based on his performance against the Panthers. Or, other things they have seen? He still has a bad habit of turning it over. -
Is it time to move on from McDermott?
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are making him sound worse than he is. He is a good HC. Great QB or not, he helped change the culture. I'm definitely not against a change. But they can't get desperate and hire an inexperienced guy. The only HC I thought suited the Bills best was Belichick. But he's in North Carolina. -

Billsfanatic8989 replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who would be the new HC? Harbaugh went to the Chargers. Payton is in Denver. Ben Johnson in Chicago. None of those guys are getting fired. Belichick is never returning to the league. Options are limited.
