The Bills Defense is Last in Rushing Yards / Attempt
Motorin' replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want Bishop on the field, but I also don't see how Edwards isn't a better option than Hamlin. I think this goes back again to "guys McDermott trusts" bring more important to the HC than player talent. And it's not necessarily about trusting guys to make plays. But trusting guys to cover the blades of grass McDermott's system calls for. -

I hope so! I don't believe everything I think. Those were just a few thoughts I had while watching his presser. -

Exactly, I'm not saying Sean didn't sign off on it. Just that I believe it was Beane's idea to push for it, not Sean pushing for it. -

We've had this whole McBeane thing for awhile. Like they are tied at the hip and the same mind. The truth is, Beane is Sean's boss. It's Beane's job to get the best talent for the team. Sean has final say on who makes the 53 based on the talent provided by Beane. I'm not saying Sean was against the pickup. But I think getting a better wr becaise it is a weakness is Beane's job. Whether Sean thinks so or not. -

This is just my perception, but I got the impression that this trade wasn't his idea. Or his call. And he came off as being hurt. Not that he said anything to indicate that he was overruled. But I have a hunch that this was Beane's call. Maybe Sean's emotional demeanor during his pressor had nothing to do with the acquisition. But I'd love to have been a fly on the wall to have heard how that process went down... Also, with Brady calling plays and packages, I'm guessing Sean also doesn't have control over how quickly and how often Cooper gets his number called. And if the OC wants him on the field, does he really have any business shutting that down? 1000% speculation on my part. -
Bills (still) bringing in kickers for tryout: Brayden Narveson

Mevis Bacon, let's go! -
That's what I thought too, but I haven't been following these details as closely as others.

True, but it's now essentially a swap for Cooper as the 30 year old #1 for basically 30.8 million this season. With Diggs salary coming off the books next year. I only wish they could have gotten this trade done with some time for Cooper to be in camp with the O.

So Josh Allen is basically in a group with Mahomes, Lamar, Herbert and Love in lowest frequency of hitting his first read. And has the highest EPA amongst them. While the group with the highest frequency of first reads is Daniel Jones, Trevor Lawrence, Anthony Richardson and Will Levis, who are have way lower EPA on those throws... And that means the Bills are in bad shape?

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
Motorin' replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well then he better be on the field for 170% of plays! -

Sean said during his presser today that he expects it will take Cooper a season or two to learn the system before he can trust him in the field... I kid, I kid... But seriously, he better be on the f'in field at least 70% of the time. -
Totally agree. Need to start varying who does what. Shakir and Samuels need to have down field plays designed to them. Coleman needs to get the slot / seam targets that Hollins has been getting.

At least in this game, the dirges they commit to running they score TD's. They abandon the run, they kick fg's or punt. -
