idk, I took his comments about not seeing himself play anywhere but Buffalo as an indication that he is open to a team friendly deal. -

Totally agree on the Surrat bro's. Chaz might be an upgrade to Milano, and Sage reminds me of a Michael Pittman or Mike Evans. KC defenders won't be able to get away with holding that guy. -

I'm sure the Indian American community is up in arms over Biden's virulent anti-Indian stance. I hear he's considering a travel ban for all people of Indian descent until we can figure what the hell is going on! Oh wait, the Time of India are celebrating his comments, "In less than 50 days of his presidency, Biden has appointed at least 55 Indian-Americans to key leadership positions in his administration ranging from his speech writer to the Nasa, to almost every wing of the government." https://m.timesofindia.com/world/us/indian-descent-americans-are-taking-over-us-jokes-joe-biden/amp_articleshow/81350607.cms What a racist bastard! Says the white conservatives who celebrated Stephen Miller's immigration stance and claim racism doesn't exit in America. -
Biden backs reparations study
Motorin' replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My property taxes went up recently due in part to a project I worked to exposure unfair, regressive property tax structure where historically redlined areas have been paying a higher % in property taxes than in wealthier green zones. The racial makeup of redlined neighborhoods is still predominantly black, and the green zones neighborhoods are predominantly white. What is really interesting is that the first town in America is instituting a reparations program where black citizens who were effected by racist housing policies will be receiving cash for housing down payments. The money will come out of a town tax on recreational marijuana. -
Here's what I would say to anyone who sees themselves as the "resistant" the the "liberal agenda." Maybe you do believe in Q, just a little bit? Maybe you didn't. If not, why were you ok with their movement? If you weren't ok with their movement, why did you align with them? If you didn't align with them, what did you do to resist their destructive sway over your resistance?

Oh you guys, I know he's getting slow, but he didn't mean taking over the country with torches and pitch forks. That's your exclusive territory. -
I wonder if there's a limit to how many players teams can meet with this year since the meetings are on Zoom, and they can't talk to them at the combine? Also, I like seeing some really fast players on this list. Anthony Schwartz might be faster than Tyreek. We need to add a burner or two!

Children can't get sexual reassignment surgery even with parental consent. That's not only medical standard, it's Levine's stated option. Yet Rand Paul seemed to be citing facebook memes claiming Levine proposes that any child can have their sexual organs mutilated without parental consent. Her answer was a polite, "bless your heart." I would like to see a detailed written response from her clarifying her positions. But I'm not upset that she didn't answer Rand Paul's "when did you stop beating your wife" style question. I think the reality is that US medicine has performed thousands of gentile mutilation surgeries on infants in order to make intersex children conform to binary gender norms, and it is still happening today. https://www.hrw.org/report/2017/07/25/i-want-be-nature-made-me/medically-unnecessary-surgeries-intersex-children-us# Yes, the question of hormones and puberty blockers is important, as is parental consent. I'm sure there are some people who take Levine's invention to talk in depth about the issues, without answering Rand Paul in the moment, as proof that she wants to force all children to be sexually reassigned without parental consent. And there will some who take it even further as proof that she is part of the pedo baby eating ring. Here's what I think, Dr. Seuss is not canceled. You can still buy a Mr. Potato Head. Children shouldn't be able to get sexual reassignment surgery until they are adults, and only after they go through a really really really long process to make sure that's what they truly want. -

There is a pretty good chance that Rand Paul was either intentionally lying or citing false claims about Dr. Levine's position when he opened his remarks claiming that she endorses surgical distruction of children's genitalia. Her documented medical opinion follows standards of care she reffered to in her answer, that minors should never undergo sexual reassignment surgery. So why didn't she answer the question? She probably didn't want to get pulled into an argument with someone she believed questioning her in bad faith. It's sort of like this thread, six pages deep, with multiple posters still hammering the idea that the left canceled Dr. Seuss. It's like trying to talk it this guy. -

I don't think it makes since to take a RT at #30 if the Bills resign D. Williams. But if they don't, they almost have to. I think Teven Jenkins is a beast, and he's from Oklahoma State, not Oklahoma. So it isn't like going back to the same well for Ford. There's maybe 4 guys at RT that could step in right away. Jenkins might be the best of the bunch. Dude is a beast. -
Madden has a really fun feature that would make NFL OT must watch. Each team gets one drive from their 20. Punting is not allowed. Extra points are not allowed. Highest score wins. If the score is tied after 2 drives, the ball is placed at the 50. Each team alternates on O for one play. The next play starts where the ball was downed. If one team scores a TD, game over. If it comes down to the last play of 8 plays, the winner is determined by the spot of the ball. Imagine the ball is at the Bills 35 and it's the very last play. They have to get the ball past the 50, into their opponents territory to win. High drama.

I do appreciate the honest dialogue. I had to search for info about government banning gendered language. What I found was interesting. And it looks like another example of fake outrage, first propagated by Dinesh D'Souza and then Breitbart. It seems to have spread all over right leaning media from there. It looks like the House of Representatives re-wrote the rules of conduct for House members and used non-gender specific language. For instance, there was a passage that prohibited Congress members from hiring, "fathers, mothers, fathers in law, mothers in law, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law..." And it was re-written to read, "parents, in-laws and siblings..." It seems to be a long tedious document spelling out what Congress can and can not do in the course of their job. What does not appear to be anywhere in this re-write are rules on the use of language. In fact shortly after the re-write, Nancy Pelosi (regardless of what you think of her as a person) gave a speech where she reffered to herself as a mother and wife. If the House did not change the rules of language use, which appears to be the case, why have the right leaning media jumped all over it claiming that the House has banned the usage of gendered language? It seems like they are lying to evoke emotional responses from their base. -

Let me first say thank you for responding honestly. While we may end up totally disagreeing on this point, I appreciate your sincerity. And I appreciate that the family of Nancy Green sees their relative and her role in selling the product when they think of the brand. It's actually not her picture on the box, and many different actresses played Aunt Jemima throughout the years. She happens to be the first one, and the story at the stage show was that she, Aunt Jemima, created the mix from scratch. That was a story, that at some point got passed down to the family as fact. Let's be 100% honest, very few people knew the story of Nancy Green until Quaker announced they were rebranding. Then some news organizations picked up on the family's press release and ran with it. I read that and thought the Green family must be wealthy having invented Aunt Jemima pancakes. It turns out they didn't make a dime. I have a lot of stories from my grandparents that turned out to be either off, or flat out false. So I understand how family lore can be taken as a truth, only later to learn otherwise. If Nancy Green had invented the pancake mix, and her family was profiting from it's sales, I'd say they still deserve their royalties, even after the rebrand. But they never received any, because she was playing a role. The role was originally created in a 1875 minstrel show, where Aunt Jemima was the central character played in blackface by a white man. They sang a song about dumb old Aunt Jemima who's happy to serve white people. The brand Aunt Jemima was created decades before hiring Nancy Green to play her. There are many black accomplishments to celebrate, and we probably don't celebrate them enough. Aunt Jemima isn't one of them. I'm not sure how to respond to being called a supremecist for thinking it's a good thing that Quaker is no longer using one of the most popular symbols of white supremecy. But I didn't put any pressure on them to change, and I don't know that their decision was anything other than an internal business choice. Here's what Neil deGrasse Tyson has to say, "It’s not that Aunt Jemima was a symbol of a racist past, she was the very embodiment of a racist past. She will not be missed by anyone who knew that." -

Quaker, which is owned by Pepsico, made the choice revert to the original Pearl Milling Company. I had nothing to do with it. I wasn't offended by anything, but understand why they would want to stop using a racist trope. What I find illuminating is the extent to which right wingers will go to express outrage and offense against companies making choices to repair there racist past. It's almost like the people most offended by Quaker attempting to repair it's racist past are angry that they would admit that there was something to repair. -

Nancy Green didn't come up with the formula for Aunt Jemima pancakes. The Pearl Milling company did, 40 years before they hired her at a casting call to play Aunt Jemima at live events. The owner of the company saw a minstrel show featuring a mammy character named Aunt Jemima, and decided to brand his pancake mix with the popular trope. It was popular because it communicated to white people that black women were happy in their servitude. Just in case anyone is into racist relics from the past, you can bid on Dr. Seuss drawings of slavery: https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.artnet.com/market/racist-dr-seuss-drawing-auction-302586/amp-page -
