Yeah there were entire games teams didn’t throw one pass Robert James’ way. Fans around the league didn’t even know much about him because you would watch a Bills game and never hear his name mentioned. He was that good. Sucks injuries cut his career in half.
Yep. In general, in 1963 Ed Rutkowski of all people, then a rookie, was the main RB. In 64, it was Bobby Smith. Gilchrist was the fullback but the main ball carrier and threat. Just a great player.
1980 against the Dolphins. The Bills did not beat the Dolphins once in the entire decade of the 1970s. OJ never beat the Dolphins once in his Bills career. The Bills played great in 1980, one of their very best teams ever, and won the game 17-7. Joe Ferguson threw 5 interceptions but the defense came up big time after time, and the goalposts came down after the game.
The New England - Lawyer Milloy 31-0 shutout game is tough to beat for best played game but the Dolphins was most emotional.
You have to be pretty old to know how great he was, but Robert James was the best CB to ever play on the Bills and one of their very best players ever.
If Catchers had 300 pound superfreaks running full speed at them and trying to rip their heads off or crack their ribs every pitch, it still wouldn't be harder.
It’s not as though The Bills, Daboll, or any team or coordinator doesn’t like to use tight ends. It’s just that there are so few of great ones. If the Bills had Kittle or Kelce their offense would be built around Diggs and the TE, and the TE would get the second most targets.
Kevin Kelley, the high school coach famous for never punting, coached his first college game. They scored 84 points, including 12 passing TDs, 10 by one guy.
He also onside kicks after most scores but they were only 1-7.
Gotta love it.
Buffalo hates Brady because he tortured us, he cheats, and he's a huge whiner and crybaby who always gets his way and still ***** about not getting his way.
The Bills actually have serious, often contentious pre-game discussions about certain fans’ neuroses, not wanting any competitive disadvantage or jinx during the games.
Considering that in any given year there are less than ten people out of 7.8 billion on Earth who are consistently great at it, I would hazard a guess that it is quarterback.
