Thanks for these deep dives. They are terrific and appreciated. The Bills should both dominate and maybe not cover the ridiculous spread. Although I do not see Mills being able to execute more than two TD drives.

I know they don’t plan it this way, and would prefer not to suck, but the extraordinary way Josh handles the rush, the Bills can excel the way they are playing. I mentioned this in my BuffNews fan article this week. Allen easily makes the first guy miss almost every time. He gets in trouble when he eludes one guy and the second surprises him from behind. Or he blindly eludes one and turns into a second (which is really the same thing). This talent of Josh’s is literally on the same level as his arm talent. It’s insane how easily and often he does it and makes it look. If only one guy is getting beat we are fine. When the jailbreaks come we will be in trouble.

Thanks for this. Good solid analysis and actually watching each play. Of course certain plays different posters will call it differently, and I may add to the -1-0-+1 ratings system a +2 or -2 for giving up a long play or score or making a stop that causes a turnover or punt, but this is good fodder for discussion.

I will have to watch it again as we all have to do, especially considering the affects that liquor can have on a human brain, BUT, I do not expect to see (m)any plays Heinicke got to his third read because he had any time to throw.

Beasley was terrific and vital all game.

But they had consistent pressure all game. Heinicke was never comfortable. He actually played decent considering. To say the D Line didn’t play well is ridiculous imo

Both the Poyer and Hyde interceptions were due to pressure and better than sacks.

D Line had pressure whole game. INTs were do to pressure

Name two plays the entire game that Heinicke just stood there with good blocking and a lot of time.

Methinks Daboll should incorporate that Tommy Tremble play into Bills offense for Dawson Knox who can break a lot of tackles. Used sparingly but a nice little variation.

Yeah I think both things are true. He’s great and he’s been in a better position to be great than virtually anyone.

I was actually being sarcastic. Didn’t believe a lot of the picking nits on a 35-0 win.

Love Mahomes. Great player. Don’t want to diminish him. But was there ever a QB put into a better position to succeed? Doubt it. A year to watch. Andy Reid. Hill and Kelce along with good run game. He’s really good but Kelce and Hill are insane.

Not sure why on those particular plays it would enter the equation. He didn’t try to run much. They didn’t call many QB runs. I think they just thought they could do what they wanted. Especially after it was 14-0 early.

Not sure if it’s Josh or coaching but there were at least four throws where if he just gunned it like he normally does it’s probably a completion. But he tried to finesse a bunch and it backfired. NFL DBs are so fast, just gun it if you’re capable when they are open.

I’m half kidding. One way to look at it is the actual game was 35-0. The Fins had 216 yards. 13 first downs and 3.1 per play. I was saying during the game that Josh was better last week in the loss. It never seemed like a 21-0 game or 28-0 or 35-0. But obviously Edmunds wasn’t awful in the first half.
