  1. In my mind, I totally agreed with this comment. I can picture him running and getting into the endzone against Miami to win a game like it was yesterday. Then I just checked the stats....he had zero running TD's in his first three seasons, 2 in his 4th, and none in his 5th. Then 5 TD's over the last 6 years of his career in Buffalo (11 years total). So early on he actually didn't have too many. Weird right? Of course Kelly on this team would make them Super Bowl favorites in the AFC right there with Pats and Chiefs for sure.
  2. Hey, don't go all Howard Cosell on me now.... ?
  3. Double reading comprehension challenge here. Not in McBeane era and never left to play elsewhere. If we're going Kelly as an option then screw it I say Johnny Unitas...
  4. Employee in China. Everyone chooses an English name for use at work with the Americans. Actually, he was sort of a di*k so maybe they felt it appropriate. We have a Rainbow, Water, Focus, BigRain, and any other number of wonderful first names. I do know some Albert Wangs!
  5. We used to have a guy named Johnson Wang, which I thought was redundant.
  6. Any answer other than Bruce Smith is wrong. And folks who say "Eric Moulds" clearly didn't see Andre Reed play. One is in the HOF, the other one will not be.
  7. Would actually be the GenX Mom who is pathetic right? Unless Miller is able to control what his Mom tweets...
  8. That, and it wasn't being used by anyone at the time as opposed to the older major league stadiums. One scene where everyone is in white shirts in the stands many of the 'fans' are cardboard cutouts. I knew some people who went as extras and they said they were among the cutouts. The Rockpile was a great backdrop for the film.
  9. I hope he isn't injured while waving the flag. Likely to pull a muscle, at least.
  10. The only guy with any sample size is Murphy at 13 attempts for 24.9 yard average. I.e 5 yards better than McKenzie. But in any event, the sample size is too small for either of them (McKenzie or Murphy) to draw many conclusions. I think it's possible the ST aren't good this year AND McKenzie isn't a natural kickoff returner. I was basing my opinion off the eye test more so than stats, which I had to look up later and only happen to back up my statement in some small way. If you think he looks like the reincarnation of Billy White Shoes Johnson then good for you. BTW - I like him alright as a receiver.
  11. 3000 yards through the air and 1000 on the ground generating 30+ TD's combined.
  12. This post makes complete sense to me. The first paragraph is judging the trade Beane made to move up to get Edmunds. Assessment is not worth it. Whereas the 2nd paragraph is ignoring the question of how he was obtained and simply stating he's a good player. A similar argument could be: Trading two number 1's for Sammy Watkins was a bad trade by the Bills Sammy Watkins is a good player.
  13. I don't recall this happening. Certainly not 1,500 people. Memory is a funny thing...just ask Brian Williams.
  14. Another year for the Lorax please. Veteran depth like this is fantastic.
  15. I'll try to contain my excitement for this event.
  16. This is exactly what I was going to say. If we could just find a #1 like a Sammy Watkins or Robert Woods, and a #2 like a Chris Hogan or Marquis Goodwin...Zay would be great as the 3rd guy in the slot. But apparently the Bills can't find WR's of that caliber, so we may be stuck with Zay as our #1 which isn't going to work.
  17. The Alamo is a best case scenario I think. More likely is Little Big Horn and the Bills are the US 7th Cavalry.
  18. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_metropolitan_statistical_areas You're right! Portland is right with San Antonio on the list. I would not have guessed that. I think a team would do better in SA but that's just an opinion I don't have any data.
