  1. Looks like he was a candidate for the job in Indy, looks like a good hire to me. https://coltswire.usatoday.com/2019/01/15/indianapolis-colts-bobby-johnson-candidate-offensive-line-coach/
  2. Looking for a Carolina connection... so far I can't find one. Not sure how he got hired?
  3. Now this is interesting... looks like he worked for a little while with STRIVR Labs- a start up company that partnered with the NFL for virtual reality training. - https://www.strivr.com/nfl-partnership-with-strivr/ Here in this article he is mentioned along with Trent Edwards (yeah... that guy!), helping Vikings set up the new system at that time (2015). http://www.startribune.com/high-tech-hits-the-field-at-vikings-camp/318733721/ https://www.vikings.com/news/vikings-to-implement-virtual-reality-technology-15523213 https://vrjournal.com/vikings-discover-new-world-and-its-virtual-reality-technology/ Trent Edwards is co founder... https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2015/7/24/9024017/trent-edwards-nfl-virtual-reality-strivr-labs-buffalo-bills
  4. Here is another great story on him from the end of his playing career- https://www.fieldgulls.com/2013/5/31/4383520/heath-play-love-would-seahawks-do-well-in-going-far-without-special Sounds like he focused on ST from college...
  5. Get past the Panther stuff... he was only there a year.
  6. Could be a great addition, great story... https://www.theolympian.com/sports/nfl/seattle-seahawks/article26080978.html Former special teams ace, ST captain for Seattle and they converted him to coach after injury.
  7. Maybe related to Denzelle Good situation? (speculation) https://coltswire.usatoday.com/2018/12/28/indianapolis-colts-denzelle-good-oakland-raiders-dave-deguglielmo-release/
  8. let it be... please happen...
  9. New article by Fairburn in the Athletic (subscription) Meet Duke Williams, the Bills’ newest receiver ‘brimming with talent’ through the eyes of his former coaches https://theathletic.com/763203/2019/01/11/meet-duke-williams-the-bills-newest-receiver-brimming-with-talent-through-the-eyes-of-his-former-coaches/ some excerpts-
  10. Mahomes having a year to sit and learn from Alex Smith and the coaching staff is a huge element of his current success. I posted an article earlier in the thread saying that Mike Kafka basically adopted him last year. He came in with many of Allen's tendencies that needed to be refined. Of course he is an amazing talent, but he is in about as optimal of a situation as you can get for a young QB.
  11. I found the article that OP is referencing- http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25720513/lucky-moves-shaped-all-eight-nfl-playoff-rosters-2018
  12. Ok fine... I'll play just for the heck of it. My answer would be probably not. I think what Mahomes did this year is incredible and I would love to see that happen here. But to call it a plug and play situation is just not being honest. My view is that Mahomes success is greatly aided by context. Look at the whole equation... (many others have said the same so I will keep it brief) 1. One year on the bench behind Alex Smith under coaching by Andy Reid and staff - they did a lot of work with him in that time - Mike Kafka basically adopted him http://www.espn.com/blog/kansas-city-chiefs/post/_/id/25194/chiefs-coached-the-recklessness-out-patrick-mahomes Compared with an unproven QB coach, plus Peterman and co... (yikes!) 2. Surrounding parts... Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, Sammy Watkins (yeah I know), etc. Compared with the scout team of Kelvin Benjamin, and a bunch of others who might actually turn into something?
  13. Revisit this in 3-5 years... until then we have no idea. As so many others have said in the thread, way to early to evaluate this concept.
  14. way too early for this nonsense... fake account.
  15. I don't call that throwing shade... he is just stating the obvious. Everyone knows the Bills are looking for O-Line help.
  16. I posted these two interviews the other Duke thread but they are buried on page 12... so sharing them here too... sounds to me like he might have the right mindset for "The Process" Coach speaks highly of him- (start around 4:25) He seems to have a work ethic-
  17. Here is an interview from July 2018 where the Edmonton coach answers several questions about Duke, he has a lot of good things to say about him here- (start around 4:25) And then here is an interview with Duke (Sounds like he might be "The Process" material-
  18. By laying the foundation that they have ("The Process"), they have created an environment to bring in guys like this. I am sure they did their homework on him, and it seems from the reports from the CFL that he has changed. They are giving him a chance here, and it could be a home run. If it doesn't work, he will be gone. Similar to the Corey Coleman situation. It's like the old adage about a rising tide lifts all boats... he will either rise to the occasion and contribute, or he will be gone before the season starts.
  19. He certainly isn't a choir boy! Loads of potential... was Kiper's top WR draft prospect at one point in time.
  20. It is ridiculous.... but here is the explanation, apparently the fines are set by CBA
  21. Thanks for sharing, that was fun to read. And this type of conversation is part of what has made Josh such a great fit here. I think the odd's are iffy that he can do it, but I love that he thinks about it and that we are having this conversation.
  22. He talked about in the WGR interview here (skip to 11:53) https://omny.fm/shows/howard-and-jeremy/playlists/podcast/embed?style=artwork&share=1&selectedClip=e7ab1d11-1af8-4886-a0e9-a9cb00f43f38 Sounds like he is definitely considering it, my guess is it happens at some point in time.
