  1. John Brown had 4 targets - missed all 4, that's half of JA incompletions. Are we sure he's healthy?
  2. All it says is they made some tweets to donate - "To show their appreciation for eliminating the Dolphins, posts on social media started popping up encouraging Colts fans to donate to the Patricia Allen Fund at Oishei Children's Hospital." Tweets are cheap - did they actually donate?
  3. AJ's sack and fumble recovery against Seattle - got to be in there
  4. In the national media all of a sudden everyone is full of praise for the Bills. A bit late getting on the bandwagon and the bills do deserve the credit. My favorite quote so far What became clear on Sunday: The best team in the AFC East is the Buffalo Bills. The second-best team is the Buffalo Bills’ backups. https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/01/03/week-17-takeaways-browns-playoffs-tua-meltdown-in-buffalo-giants-bumble-past-dallas
  5. I remember the "Suck for Luck" signs in Indi - although they didn't go 0-16 the fans in the stands were clearly rooting for losses
  6. I might not be so knowledgeable in the fine details and strategy of the game - but it looked strange to me that the Ravens kicked off after the FG with 2 seconds left and kicked out of the end zone. Giving the Browns one more play. Logic would say to squib kick the ball and by the time they pick it up and get tackled the game is over. Am I wrong? Am I missing something?
  7. The average is misleading you have 25 first down plays (not including the 2 fumbles) 5 for a loss and 5 for zero yards - that's 40% of the time 1st down is wasted. Add in the times we gained 2 yards or less (4 times) that's 56% of the time that we did not do anything good on first down - which is what I think the OP was saying. Because of the few plays that were over 10 yards the average looks much better than the actual plays
  8. Put in tall WRs to defend it they know how to catch and/or knock down the ball - it's not like they have to cover someone - they have to stand around the goal line and get to the ball. I remember the Pats putting Moss in as DB to defend last second desperation throws
  9. The main idea is to give the fouled team the option to choose if to shoot the 2 free throws or take the ball on the side - just like in football you can decline a penalty. if there's 1 minute to play and you're down by 6. Play good defense and get the ball back and make a 3 - don't play 'Hack the Shak' - fouling their worse FT shooter.
  10. In Basketball - any foul in the last 2 min of the game or in the bonus, the team that was fouled can choose to take the 2 shots or get the ball on the side with a 5 second runoff. That would discourage teams for fouling intentionally just to stall the game.
  11. I like the quote in SI.com 5. Buffalo Bills (7–3) Last week: Bye This week: vs. Los Angeles Chargers Josh Allen’s rise to stardom has masked a struggling defense, but the fact that they lost their No. 2 and 3 corners 24 hours before the trip to Arizona and still came within a Hail Mary of winning counts as encouraging. And with the Dolphins losing in Denver and struggling to figure out their quarterback situation, the likely worst-case scenario for the Bills is an AFC East championship game against Miami during Week 17 in Orchard Park. 6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7–4) Last week: Loss vs. Los Angeles Rams 27–24 This week: vs. Kansas City You’d have to go all the way back to two weeks ago to find a Tom Brady performance as ugly as Monday night’s. Of course, that Rams defense has made a lot of quarterbacks look bad this year (not Josh Allen, but mortal quarterbacks), and the Bucs defense has held up its end of the bargain over the last seven quarters. As we saw in Carolina nine days ago—when Tampa Bay scored on all 10 of their possessions—this offense is capable of piling up the points, but it’s tough to know when it’s going to show up.
  12. I'm not trying to blame the refs - just trying to understand the rules better What I know (which could be wrong) is if you push/block the players while touching the numbers on the back of his jersey - that's a block in the back. Am I wrong?
  13. Wasn't it a block in the back to allow the touchdown that wasn't called? To see the whole play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQsemjPaCjU starting @ 8:58
  14. In a boring 'midseason prediction' article in SI which continues the regular national media line (Chiefs, Steelers, Seahawks and Dolphins(??!)) I found this quote https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/11/11/nfl-midseason-predictions-picks-playoffs-super-bowl-awards
  15. AJ had a good game - and after being very critical of his play on previous posts I want to tip my hat and say congrats - keep it up!!! We're going to need it since Milano is not coming back for a few weeks.
  16. Agree with the OP - good job by the coaching staff planning and playing to the opponents weakness. That's evident on offense - not so clear how they are doing it on defense. More blitzing against RW, OK, but too many times Metcalf was with only one CB and it wasn't Tre' - just don't get it.
  17. He's not playing like last year, don't know if it's health or what - maybe it's the lack of supporting cast, Milano is not 100% and Klein is a missed tackle waiting to happen
  18. In the Week 8 NFL rankings on SI.Com https://www.si.com/nfl/talkoffame/nfl/rick-gosselins-week-8-nfl-rankings-all-afc-at-the-top In the Bills ranking 8. Buffalo Bills. (9) The Bills dealt with Patrick Mahomes this season. They dealt with Aaron Donald and Derrick Henry. But the one person they cannot deal with is referee Carl Cheffers. Buffalo has drawn the Cheffers crew for two of its seven games. He issued the Bills 10 penalties for 56 yards in the Tennessee game, then assessed 11 penalties for 106 yards last weekend in the Jets game. That’s 21 penalties in two games. The Bills have had only two double-digit penalty games all season. Their AFC East rival, the Patriots, have been penalized just 15 times in six games this season. Not following close enough to verify this - but is it really just blaming the refs or bad coaching? If it was bad coaching wouldn't it show up more in other games also?
  19. This is a good start https://www.buffalobills.com/video/buffalo-bills-best-offensive-plays-2019-season
  20. Very nice Is there a video of every Bills 20+ yard play of the season?
  21. Probably not a lot of work for a kicker - they changed the kickoff rules in the XFL and instead of Xtra points - you get a 1 play. From the 2 you get 1 point from the 5 - 2 points and from the 10 - 3 points. No real kicker needed I like the change in Xtra point concept makes more room for creative and wild plays
  22. I totally agree, players should not be allowed to punch, next time he'll punch, miss the ball on purpose and hit the chin, groin or an unprotected part of the body. This should be not allowed just like face-masking, horse-collar tackles and other defensive hits which are illegal.
