Who should be our #1 RB? Singletary or Moss?
Victory Formation replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One could argue that RB is the Achilles heel of our offense depending on how you feel about Knox and the TE position. Neither Singletary nor Moss are guys I’d pay big money to. Sure, they’re serviceable, adequate and decent but they’re not elite talents. I do like Singletary’s running style though and Moss runs hard but Buffalo could benefit from upgrading the RB position. -
Reggie Gilliam officially listed as FB
Victory Formation replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes sense, but do keep in mind that Hollister saw a lot of snaps at FB in Seattle. Which is why his Y/R is as low as it is. -
Just more evidence to support the fact that the Jets are a dysfunctional franchise. I mean, with the way the CBA is set up, it’s established already as far as how much each player will get paid, so the Jets are digging their heels in over petty nuances. Meanwhile Wilson is missing out on much needed snaps with the first string offense. I dislike the Jets, not just because I’m a Bills fan but because that organization is filled with terrible people, starting with their owner Woody Johnson.

If we put Rodgers in New England and Brady in Green Bay, do you think that would have changed anything? -
Who made Who in 2020? Allen vs Diggs
Victory Formation replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok I just nursed my first cup of coffee, so I’m sorry if this doesn’t make much sense, but then again my posts hardly ever make sense so you may not spot the difference. ☕️☕️ Chicken or egg? Tell me how Brady did without Mike Evans, Gronk and Chris Godwin in his final year with the Patriots? Sure, QB is the most important position in football, sure a great QB will make do with average receivers, but it takes good to great WRs even for a QB as talented as Brady to win the Super Bowl and to go deep in the playoffs. Same goes for Josh, whom I feel can get us multiple Super Bowl titles, but without a good team around him, he likely wouldn’t even get one. Every team needs playmakers/elite players outside of the QB position to be successful, but in the salary cap era you must choose who you pay, who your star players are and who you build around and who you let go. Beane must determine who his untouchable players are, which will likely be players like Allen, Diggs and TreDavious White. Overpaying for good players can hamstring this franchise and can prohibit us from winning a Super Bowl and how deep we go in the playoffs. How many people do we pay top dollar to? How many meat and potatoes players do we sign to reasonable deals? This is the balance Beane must strike. -
Chandler Jones requests a trade
Victory Formation replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’s a Buffalo native IIRC, but I think our DL is all set. -
It’s kind of amazing how far Allen has come under the guidance of Jordan Palmer, who seemingly has a stellar reputation in the NFL as a top end QB coach. It’s kind of perplexing to me cause Palmer sucked as a player but is apparently a really great coach. I wonder why he didn’t do much as a player in the NFL? Regardless, his track record as a coach speaks for itself.

I support Rodgers 100%. Green Bay has very little to show for between him and Favre. How is it you only have two Lombardis between two of the greatest QBs of all time? -
Slot Recievers - McKenzie / Cole
Victory Formation replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two each his own. I don’t see Isaiah as a natural route runner, nor do I see him as being big enough to break free from physical press corners and once again he has a very slight athletic build and small bone structure. I don’t see his body as big enough to handle the abuse of 68 catches. I kind of see him as a Roscoe Parrish type of player except Roscoe may have actually been a wee bit bigger. -

Victory Formation replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Isaiah a lot too, but he just doesn’t have the frame to be a 50-55+ catch kind of guy. He is a splash player. If you can get him in space via design plays, he can be a valuable contributor. I think he can get you maybe 40-45 catches a year, which is about his max, I think. That’s still valuable given his skill set though, given that he’s an athletic marvel and can take it to the house on any given play and he must be accounted for, but he has a very small frame/bone structure, he can easily get hurt. If used tastefully he is a very solid #4 and I hope the Bills hang onto him, at the right price. -
If he’s willing to take $11M-$12M, I’d say he’s worth it, but anything more than that gives me cause for concern. Of course one could argue that our DL has been piss poor since he’s been here, but his production isn’t in line with other elite players. Sure, he’s good, but not very good, let alone elite. He has everything you’d want in a LB physically, but he lacks instincts. MLB is a highly disvalued position. If we see more splash plays out of Edmunds in pass defense I may change my mind, because generally that’s what you want these days in a LB.

Kawaan Short cleared to play

Better off saving that money for when other teams start trimming their rosters down. TE and corner seem to be way more pertinent than adding another DT. -
Fetes' Five Hot Takes for the 2021 NFL season
Victory Formation replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that Sanders will likely take Beasley’s spot in the slot. With the way things are going for Cole, I’m not so sure he’ll be around come week 1. I think you’ll see Diggs and Davis on the outside and Sanders in the slot. -
Is it time to trade off Singletary?
Victory Formation replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don’t trade assets off when your team is in win now mode. Singletary is our best back and not only that, it looks like he is coming into camp in the best shape of his life. As many folks pointed out, our line is not exactly the best at run blocking. We are not a power run team, yet Singletary has averaged almost 5ypc in his first two seasons. I would argue that even some of the best backs in the league wouldn’t of had much success behind this OL. I would also argue that our run blocking scheme is the problem and is most certainly Brian Daboll’s weakness as a play caller. This line is great in pass protection, but I think over the next year or two that it will be reshuffled. Ford, Feliciano and Morse will not be mainstays. There’s clearly some work to be done there. -
E Sanders Analysis vs Zone & man Coverage
Victory Formation replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe that Sanders will play a lot in the slot. I’m not confident that Beasley will be on our roster opening week. Davis will probably be our LWR. -

2021 record prediction?
Victory Formation replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
14-3 Super Bowl Champs. -
Hollister certainly has the potential to explode for a monster season. I find it strange how his YPR so low, he seems to be very athletic. Athletic enough to the point where Buffalo can start running some Twin TE sets and power run packages with Knox in there. TE is a funny position, it seems to be a position where it takes time for guys to develop and mature. He could have a big season, like Knox, once again, he’s very athletic and has positional versatility. Could play TE, could play FB and can also offer a lot as a receiving FB/H-Back as well.

Richard Sherman Arrested
Victory Formation replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. I admire you for not judging him. Some crimes are unforgivable, especially against children and also the shedding of innocent blood and those sort of atrocities, etc. What Sherman did was wrong, but once again, he’ll pay. There will likely be some sort of medications that he’ll be prescribed, which likely means he’ll be seeing a doctor for the rest of his life. Meaning there will also be therapy involved as well. Likely forever. To those who say that people with mental illness do not pay for their actions, what do you think the outcome would be for Sherman had he had no illness at all? A year in jail? With the kind of money he has, he may have just gotten probation and let off easy anyways. Mental illness actually hurts him here. Once again, this man will likely be seeing therapists and doctors for the rest of his life. Many players around the NFL have done much worst and after they serve their 6 game suspension, life goes on as it were before. -
Richard Sherman Arrested
Victory Formation replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even with mental health issues you will be held accountable, at least on some level. Don’t pretend like someone with mental health issues will not pay in one way or another if they did something wrong. Instead of jails theres long term psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes etc. I suppose that so and sos level of functionability is what determines the outcome, but don’t pretend that the Nicholas Cruz’s and the weirdo “Joker” mass shooter will be let off easy, they’re in medical prisons for life and they should be, but the ones who may have acted in a way like Sherman did, there will likely be stipulations upon his release. Court ordered therapy, medications, abstinence from alcohol, AA meetings etc.
