  1. I get where the OP is coming from. Of course we all know there's way more to the story but on the surface, it's just another layer on our "curse".
  2. This is why he plays it safe. He simply can't throw into Tight Windows
  3. If we win this game, this topic may not really take off, but the WC should be a lock. Of course the Billsiest thing would be to lose to Indy the following week. But for real, get in even at #6, look at the week AFC, and suddenly there's no reason to be content with One and Done.
  4. Hogan for sure. Gilly if he's active. Gilmore - not sure what he can do to feature him. He can't demand he's not burnt. Fortunately, he's not facing a passing QB though.
  5. I really like your take on this. 100% agreed never to injure but pound the crap out of him if you are going to lose this one anyway.
  6. No doubt he knows our roster. He's always looking for the next guy he can pluck from us. Not saying it always works out though.
  7. Or maybe he still thinks about that hit from Clements that Bills social media pages love to repost over and over and over....
  8. Short of KC completely collapsing and giving us a close to top 10 pick, I don't know if we wait for our guy. I think Beane made it clear that's the #1 objective. I hear talk of maybe skipping on getting their for sure guy this year. I don't buy it. Walk away from this draft with 2 things - your QB and your nasty gamechanging MLB. Those 2 things can make up for the other gaping holes that still remain.
  9. If we can grab that 6th spot, I'm sure many fans will expect we progress to being even better next year. If we land a hands-down franchise QB who can make an instant impact and cover for other huge holes, maybe. Keeping a realistic perspective, what we pay to move up to get that guy probably keeps us 1 more year out and buys McBeane more time after killing the "curse".
  10. Most of us before the season had no idea we would be on the top of the "In the hunt" list going into December. Despite the frustrating losses, it's pretty amazing to be in this spot with the glaring holes we still have. Holes that might be easily filled with so many draft picks, but if we have to package some to move up for our QB, then who really knows. So....I'm hoping we somehow scrape into the playoffs this year, get that monkey off our back and then have a realistic outlook on building this team into a contender. That might mean not making it the 2018 season but then becoming a real powerhouse the following year and beyond.
  11. Agreed 100%. That first home game against them in 2015 where we tried to break the sound record, Brady and co. did everything with silent signals while our D was confused because they couldn't hear each other.
  12. If they keep Dennison, I hope we pick up some other former OC who had any level of success to take over a position coach spot because it won't be long in 2018 till Dennison is fired and we need someone to step in on the fly. OR, let's avoid that whole deal and just get a real OC.
  13. I'm loving the idea of not only finally ending the drought, but being able to play a game either at Jax or Ten...especially Ten. First playoff game at the same place the last one was, along with playing the coach who SHOULD have got us in back in 2004...storybook stuff!
  14. I hear ya, but on a team that is ultra conservative to a fault, I was jumping and shouting hoping he would make that a pick 6. Good for him for trying to go out in style.
  15. I hear you, Rico is at least half if not more the actual problem. But even if he calls the right plays the question is will Taylor take advantage or will he revert to being overly conservative?
  16. After posting my comment I had to check their remaining schedule. On the one hand, I stand by what I said, on the other, it depends on how the teams they play are doing. Jets, Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins, Broncos - Mostly the middle 3 teams there - might be tough to root against KC those weeks.
  17. Let's hope KC keeps struggling, the Chargers take the West, and the Chiefs end up giving us a higher pick than we expected after that hot start.
  18. That's why this game gets my vote in this thing. Those other losses, not so surprising. Close losses or blowouts on big stages or even ref-assisted losses...all part of our ways the whole drought. THIS game was going to be our mark and the turning of the tide. Coming off the momentum of that 9-7 team, "THIS IS OUR TIME"....bleh. This game hands down....
  19. Yeah, just a terrible day altogether. Watching Taylor play scared as he was contained in the pocket in just his 2nd start, what I feared started to come to pass. I knew we were going to have a stat sheet hero (if you can even say that) instead of a guy who gets it done when it matters. He turned out having a nice day stat-wise and it was only a 7 point loss, but that was only after carving up a prevent D and Belicheat trying too hard to stick it to big mouth Rex instead of running out the clock.
  20. Yeah, we were hanging out watching it live! And we were hyped up to try and break the sound record. I knew our stadium wasn't built for that to happen, but man...the first few minutes (before the onslaught), I had to cover my ears thinking they were going to bleed. I couldn't talk for a week.
  21. I'll go with the first Rex game at home. I was 100% sold on Rex about to make our D legendary, and coming off the "upset" of what we thought would be a great Colts team, no reason to believe otherwise yet. I even paid for my Pats fan buddy to come and witness the changing of the guard. Welp...as he laughed at us all day with his red Gronk jersey on, what could I say?
  22. TT stepped in this week and did what he does best - played like a great back up who if he had to step in for an elite starter for a few weeks, he won't blow your season. Beyond that - I can't believe it's still an argument. Everyone short of the true "haters" all wish he had a higher ceiling. Talent wise, he does, but for whatever reason, he's like the elephant who thinks he's restrained by a tiny peg. If he could ever get past whatever mental block he has, he'd be a star.
  23. In our fan world, most of us picked LAC as a win and KC as a loss. It was a nice recovery to stop the bleeding. And now we host the Pats. Welp....
  24. You can say D or running game, but it really hinges on TT. And knowing they will be disciplined to contain him from running outside and bring a good pass rush/blitz up the middle, the only chance is TT making them pay with quick decisive throws - the throws he almost never even attempts. He can do it but will he revert to being too safe? Dude has nothing to lose, please please please just let the ball go.
