  1. There is no stopping Brady short of an elite pass rush. Since we don't have that, the only other option is to have a shoot out. Not happening with this QB - unless he has one of those rare days he decides to sling it. TT is so frustrating because I'm convinced he HAS the talent but he always reverts back to playing it safe. I agree we're probably looking at 6-6 at about 4pm on Sunday, but I'll be Kool-Aid filled by 1pm to believe maybe 7-5!
  2. I understand they are professionals, but the question is, professionals at doing what? PLAYING a GAME. Let those words sink in. We get to escape our troubles for 3 hours by watching Men-children play a game we love and wish we could all still play. If they want to take 15 seconds to celebrate one of the most difficult things to do in pro sports, while we as fans yell with painted faces and sometimes, no shirts on in freezing cold....so be it.
  3. It's a vicious cycle. It would seem with nothing to lose, the guy will start letting it rip. But he won't. He might for a little while but his default is to play it safe. TT would be a pretty scary QB if he consistently posed somewhat of a passing threat.
  4. How can anyone say Peterman? I wanted him to be the guy guy but can't be blind. He got his shot. Sorry bud...that arm isn't gonna cut it.
  5. I know this guy, he used to be a pastor at my old church. He's awesome!
  6. Even the most hardcore TyGod fan should smile listening to this. So bad it's good.
  7. Just dreaming about a guy who can actually maximize having: KB, Matthews, Zay, DT, Clay, O'Leary - that core WR/TE group is talented enough to put up some numbers!
  8. Ice bowl 67, how would you feel about picking up Tyrod as your back up next year?
  9. We're both locked on our opinions. I'll end on fully agreeing with you hoping he does keep improving, perhaps enough to make us spend our top picks on solidifying other needs to become legit contenders!
  10. Thanks for the sentiment, but if you are listening to the media saying we were crazy for benching Tyrod, that doesn't capture how many if not most of us feel. We are thrilled to see the rookie get a shot while we are still very much in the playoff picture. Sincere thanks though, very classy move from a fan of another team! You GB fans are a close 2nd to being the best fans on earth!
  11. Agreed, that's how things are run and that's why Taylor was the hands-down day 1 guy instead of Peterman. Isn't that the original debate....arguing whether it's asinine or not to believe Nate was ready day 1? Your point is my argument. It wasn't Peterman suddenly is ready 9 weeks later. It's that the protocol must be broken because the vet crapped the bed.
  12. I don't want to say he isn't, but again, it's not because he wasn't ready from week 1 if needed. It was 100% because Tyrod was the vet, voted as Captain. Heck...that's part of why trash TJ Yates was the #2 to start camp. They valued the vet aspect. Peterman took the spot by showing what he's got from the start. They aren't blind. They had to know all along the guy who can throw quick passes in tight windows is a better fit for this O. They just had to wait till Tyrod proved he absolutely can't play NFL QB.
  13. I hear ya, that's a nice comparison. I just don't believe the wait had more to do with Peterman's development as much as it was Tyrod's lack of progression. Arguably he got a little better at pocket passing, but not nearly enough to justify sticking with him. I think Peterman is pretty much the same guy he was since preseason, with a bit more knowledge from watching the past 9 weeks.
  14. I disagree on the "he wasn't ready week 1" argument. Even coach said he was ready when Tyrod was in concussion protocol and we thought Nate might have started. Not only that, but being the primary back up for a mobile QB who maybe hasn't missed a ton of games but has taken so many hits that left him getting up slowly...if Nate was indeed "not ready" from the start, then we should really question the coaches for allowing him to be so close to the field from the start.
  15. Tyrod didn't get screwed. He got the opportunity of a lifetime, fulfilled a dream, got to be a starter on a team for over 2 years and is financially set for life from it. Any career back up should envy the guy. Now he gets to go and compete again with no bias, and if he doesn't win a starting role again, he gets to be a really nice back up somewhere. Not shedding a single tear for the guy. Many of us knew for a very long time this experiment was drawn out too long.
  16. He steps in inheriting a team currently in the 6th spot. If he holds the spot or gets us in even higher by beating LAC, IND, MIA 2x, and stealing one vs KC or NE, the kid may prove to be worth riding out and only needing to draft his back up. Short of that, draft 1st rd and let them compete for it. And with the teams left on our schedule, there will no doubt be opportunities to show he can carry us when our D struggles and the run game isn't working. Can he keep our O on the field and keep us in it and if it's down to the last possession, can he pull it out? That's the test and 7 games should be plenty of time to find that out.
  17. I do? Okay. I thought I was pointing out he sounded upset but will he fine when it opens up his run game. Shoot. Wish I knew what I really meant.
  18. I'm thinking Beane called McDermott on Monday night: B: "Did you watch the tape?" M: "Of course. Always" B: "Not just the defense. Did you watch the offense? Be honest" M: "Honestly, no, not yet" B: "Watch it and call me after" {a few hours later} M: "Okay. Get ready for a presser on Wed. I'll tell Nate and Tyrod about the switch tomorrow"
  19. The alternating QB thing is a bit much but getting Tyrod on the field a couple times a game for some old school "slash" plays SHOULD happen. Doubt it will but man, that guy is so elusive on the run, it's worth experimenting with.
  20. This is such a great idea. Not sure it will happen but Tyrod is so elusive on the run, it would be great to try.
  21. Does it get much worse than hearing Bulldog squeamishly try to share an opposing viewpoint? Man the F up dude!
  22. Zay Jones has to be thrilled. Not sure how bad he was hurt, but if he can come back soon he has a shot at making his rookie season halfway decent.
  23. If he was excited about the move, I am completely fooled. Not saying that's impossible, but I don't think that's the case. I think he is actually upset and concerned...but again, he will love the move when it benefits him, and the team....in that order.
  24. I get it. He's just a guy who tends to let how he really feels slip through more than most. I actually appreciate that more than the usual filtered responses. He filters, but not as much...
  25. http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/11-15-lesean-mccoy I hear ya, but It sounded to me like he was upset. When asked about why they made the move, he said he didn't know. Season ends today, they are in. LAC will be able to blitz the rookie.
