At Last, a GM Who Values Comp Picks
The Now Moment replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those depth players were needed. You can look back on it and grumble all you want but we used those players in rotation a lot. With all the injuries we had, it's a good thing we had those players. They stepped up at times. -
Mayfield may not play in Senior Bowl
The Now Moment replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be pretty disappointed if he doesn't play. Everyone talks about his competitiveness but if he doesn't play what does that show? Some of the best college talent collects at the senior bowl and if he decides not to play I think that will go against him. I hope he changes his mind if in fact this is true. He's having a nice week. Why not play in the game? -
Isaiah Wynn and Darius Leonard in the second round please. Although Wynn came off with a minor shoulder injury, he's dominated this week. Has great versatility for a lineman. Leonard is fast and all over the field at linebacker. Mayock compared him to Telvin Smith. He was flying all over the field sideline to sideline. Both players are trending up and might not even make it to our picks in the second if so, I hope they are strongly considered.

His blocking has been pretty rough. I think there are many better options in this deep class of tight ends.

Are the "inside sources" trustworthy?
The Now Moment replied to simool's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then just step back out of the post. No need to feed the poster attention then. That just justifies others to attack too IMO -
Actually he was described as the best athlete on the offensive line in a few articles this year. Not sure how true that is. I think he can focus and play better with man responsibilities rather than the zone that was used this year. He said how he likes to play physical and that matches up better in the power scheme not the zone. Hoping he bounces back. I'm not sure about all but he prefers the man to man blocking rather than the zone. This allows him to be more physical which he's stated in the past that he likes. Hoping he plays better next year

John Miller started his career out promising and had his best year before Dennison came in. Does Daboll open up the door for John Miller starting at RG again or is he on the outs with this coaching staff? We have all discussed the potential of drafting a RG or grabbing one in FA but can Miller bounce back? I would draft an interior lineman to fight for the job with Miller. If Miller wins, we can used the young guy to be a backup and learn, then replace Incognito as he nears the end of his career.

Bills need to trade up into the top 5
The Now Moment replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will take a fortune that includes picks from next year too IMO. We are going up into the top 5 from the twenties...that's a big jump and with other teams likely trying to jump up as well, the price will just go up. We better LOVE a guy if we do jump up. This will be one interesting offseason that's for sure. -
Are the "inside sources" trustworthy?
The Now Moment replied to simool's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not talking about the people who were trying to see if it was true or not. I'm talking about the people that just bashed him and attacked him. I didn't comment once on that thread because of how a lot of people were simply attacking him. People can politely suggest that he stop but that didn't exactly happen. It was just pages of people pissing out anger. It got unnecessary and out of hand. I come here to discuss football and not bash other people. Some use this as a platform to just bash other people. That's honestly the entire internet though. It's frightening to look at any comment section anywhere so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I guess I thought this was a place to actually converse about the Bills and express opinions and have debates and conversations without the bashing stuff. People can politely reject it then. Don't click on the thread. Control yourselves. It's really quite simple but the compulsive need to put someone down is stupid. People kept going back to that thread even though they didn't like it just to piss on the poster. It doesn't have to become the thread of bashing that it became. This board shouldn't be a platform to bash others. Whatever happened to conversation and debate without bashing others and their opinions? -
Is Steve Wilks Hiring Bad For Us

Gotcha. I assumed you meant money. My apologies. -
Are the "inside sources" trustworthy?
The Now Moment replied to simool's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So if you don't believe that poster, stop reading their posts. Simple solution. Why does everybody have to go pissing on the poster? Doing that just causes more anger on this board and draws away from it's true intentions. Why create a big ruckus when there is no need to? Some days I come on here and it's like it's a place where people take out their anger on another poster for really no reason. I guess that's the entire internet now though. It's quite the shame. -

It's not all about money for all players. Family comes into consideration as well as other factors for many players. -

I'm not worried if we don't get Star or any carolina free agent this year. I don't think McDermott is going to bank on that connection as his only way to find players. Poyer, Hyde, his drafted players...I really think this is a non-story. -

What honestly makes them have pro bowl potential? Sure they may be franchise QBs but will they be better than Just because they may be drafted in the first few picks doesn't mean they will be good at all. You have to dive deeper than just where they are going to be selected. They are very good players but they all have bigger question marks than QBs who I'd consider to be elite prospects. They could be the next best thing but they aren't elite prospects based on what they did college in my opinion. Darnold had a ton of turnovers this year and Rosen wasn't that accurate. He had to throw the ball 40-50 times to get to the yards passing that he got. He led his team to a wopping 6-7 this year. He shows a lack of leadership and doesn't sound like a great teammate. Does he honestly show a passion and a true competitive spirit? He's been injured a few times in his career already and looks really thin especially considering he's got to play against even bigger faster players now. He was absent in a few games. To me, they aren't elite prospects. They can turn out to be amazing but they aren't elite prospects. I am not saying I wouldn't draft one but to say they are elite clean cut prospects is just not true IMO -

The line I quoted stated how he was better than other QBs over a series of several years. Neither Rosen or Darnold are in that type of conversation. They are not elite prospects. They are simply good ones. Just because they are listed as going number one and number two doesn't mean they are elite prospects. We've seen this in years past where the need for QB drives the players up to the top. On most lists, they are out of the top 5 in terms of prospects in this years class and some have them out of the top ten. I don't see elite prospects when I watch them. Again, doesn't mean they can't be great. -
The guy has been considered a late first round pick/early second round pick for months. Small school guys do get picked high

Mason Rudolph has tiny hands
The Now Moment replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayfield's measurements will be poor. I want to see what he can do at the senior bowl against a lot of other talented guys. Show us why we should take you. Step out of the Oklahoma system and show me what you got. Same goes for all of these QBs. Rudolph not playing this week will hurt his status IMO. I needed to see him dominate the senior bowl to be willing to take him in the first round and now he's not even playing and he has a full inch smaller hands than I do. Hands don't really make that much of a difference but seriously? Barely above 9 inch hands for a 6'5" QB? I was looking forward to seeing what his footwork looked like this week. He's making it really difficult to consider drafting him high. -

Actually I did, it started with "Manning is probably the most prepared prospect in several years." Also, I watched him with my own eyes and he was a lot better than these guys in college. He was an elite prospect, these guys are good but not elite. Sorry. They can go dominate the NFL next year but it won't change the fact that they are not elite prospects. I've watched every single one of them and not one do I unquestionably say is an elite prospect. -
What constitutes being a Kuechly in your mind? Are you saying Edmunds doesn't have the leadership skills/playcalling role on the defense...what exactly do you think Edmunds is lacking?

None of these QBs come close to comparing to Manning coming out. He was an elite prospect, these guys aren't. Doesn't mean they can't get better when they get to the NFL but they aren't elite prospects. Andrew Luck coming out was an excellent prospect and besides his extended injury has been very good in the NFL. That's not the point though, the point is that he was an elite prospect. The guys this year are not elite. Doesn't mean they can't be elite NFL players but they aren't elite prospects.
