Yeah I've been thinking about this a lot this year. They had some home run FA pickups like Hyde and Poyer that masked poor drafting but it's all catching up with them now that they're gone and they aren't hitting well on FA pickups since either.

ATL might only be 2-2 but I straight up think this is going to be a difficult game. On the road vs one of the best RBs and a very good defense well rested coming off a long bye week while we're desperately looking towards just getting to our bye week in one piece to get some relief from absent guys. We've had games like Sunday where we appeared to be cooked only to come out swinging the next week so we should win but I thought they'd pull their ***** together for NE and clearly they didn't, at least not until it was too late and the game got away from them.

When you see a Cold Front jersey, what is the first thing on your mind?

Surprised Allen is front-running, he hasn't done anything particularly impressive stat-wise. Cook's been the engine of the offense so far (not that I'm complaining). I'm guessing that Week 1 comeback is still driving those odds. Also where is Daniel Jones? I know he's Daniel Jones but he's been playing very well so far.

Someone can come in here and destroy me with stats but just going off what I feel like I'm seeing this year. Whenever Cook is getting decent yardage the offense clicks very well and essentially scores at will. No duh you'll say, the run game opens the pass game. But whenever a team has success slowing Cook down, the offense doesn't seem to have any sort of backup plan. The offense tends to stall out more often than not except for the usual Allen hero plays. It feels to me like our passing game lacks scheming to get guys open quickly and Allen either has to improvise until someone does or a lane opens for him to run and that's basically all of our successful plays. It just seems unsustainable especially in the playoffs where you're going to face a bunch of teams that will be able to stop Cook for periods of time and their offenses will continue scoring on us in the meantime while we figure things out.

Also let's not forget the Bills are responsible for 25% of all their opponents' losses. And after tonight it'll (likely) be 2 wins as NYJ/MIA play each other.

Game week thread - Dolphins at Bills TNF
theAteam replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
0-2 teams can be some of the most dangerous games to play but honestly it feels like Miami is deflated and a total collapse is imminent. I also think McDermott has Tua's number and we already know Allen has Miami's number -
IMO same way we've been beating teams. Getting the run game going, keeping them off the field, and finishing drives. I have the feeling they are going to have a lot of tricks up their sleeves and we're going to struggle to stop them. Simply need to score early and often because you know Kelce's going to get open eventually and burn us.

I remember that they won the Super Bowl that year so we got that going for us.

I didn't care before but after hearing this franchise has never won 14 games before I want it now.

I haven't seen any Washington fans that praised him online, he's pretty universally seen as a massive bust. -

IIRC if you get any sort of treatment you get put on the injury report. -
Might be the guy fighting for his job. Either it works or it won't be his problem later.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

It will be definitely be interesting to see how Brady will use him in his own scheme and how Kincaid has developed over an offseason. -
I've accepted the 2nd down throw was the correct play. I do wish he had gone to Shakir on 3rd down. He would have still needed 2-3 yards but we've seen Shakir make magic happen before and his defender had turned his hips to the inside already when the window to throw was there. At the very least you've got 4th and 2 or 3, you can make the decision then whether you want to kick or not. It makes a 44 yard FG into like a 37 yarder and more importantly it would have put Bass on the left hash where he is considerably more comfortable. Maybe he still misses but it's a better setup than what they gave him.

Ryan O'Halloran - Bills should go Defense Heavy in draft

Are we going to have the capital to sign a FA wr? -
Hyper reactionary but I don't post here I take it elsewhere

What is your gut telling you right now?
theAteam replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
My gut tells me I need to see game time inactives before I should trust my gut. Current impression is the offense needs to score 30+ with <2 turnovers. Chiefs have won super bowls with less than elite defenses where their biggest defensive edge was getting pass rush through just enough for their offense to stay ahead of the other team. Our DL is the healthiest defensive unit we have and I think we can win in a similar way to that, but we need a clean game from the offense where they get TDs on the majority of their red zone trips. -

Rudolph opened up the passing game which helps the run game get going. -

I still think they are frauds. Fluke win after fluke win mainly on the back of TJ Watt who is out for this game. I do think they'll come out swinging and absolutely will try to out-muscle the Bills to start the game, but if we just can put together a clean game it shouldn't even be close, weather notwithstanding. -
Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
theAteam replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've read that both Lamar and Harbaugh at least partially blame too much rust back in 2019 for their team coming into the playoffs flat and ultimately getting bounced prematurely. I expect starters to play at least some of the game. -
Agree on these. This iteration of the Patriots are similar to the Jets in that you just need to take what the defense gives you and don't turn it over and you'll win a nice boring 24-10 type game. Belichick wants to bait you into taking big shots and that's where they'll pick him off or at least make enough defensive stops to give his offense a chance to get lucky.
