At some point its going to cost them a game if not many. They have been lucky they have played teams with average offense or worse. This isn't Rockpile days football, you need to keep your foot on the gas on offense the whole game.

Why would they mention the Bills? The Ravens played the Pats who stat wise is a better defense the Bills and they couldn't slow them down. What makes you think the Bills defense will?

As good as they have been playing, I blame the way they play in the 3rd qtr on their conservative coach. Today was a day to keep the foot on the gas for all 4 qtrs. Instead they try to run out the clock half way through the 3rd. Good teams keep trying to make plays and put up points. Not the Bills, McDermott seems to like running out the clock early.

The difference is the Pats and the Boys blow out their weak teams. The Bills had to come from behind in a few of their wins against the same teams.

They have any easy schedule left minus the Ravens, whom they beat once.

The Denver game scares me. This is the first Bills game against a good defense since the Pats game and we all know how the offense did in that one. The Bills have to 3-3 to make it. The Raiders will probably finish 10-6. I can see the Browns only loss the rest of the way against the Ravens. If they finish 9-7 the win the tie breaker against the Bills.

Yeah they weren't winning but the players had tuned out the coach. They stopped playing for him. I have my doubts a new coach will change anything. The Leafs have too many guys with character flaws.

He has looked good at times this season but that's mostly been against teams with bad defenses. These upcoming games will tell a bigger story on how much of a jump he's made this season.

Buffalo has to go 3-3 to make it. If they only beat Denver and the Jets they most likely don't make it in.

If the Bills don't go 3-3 the rest of the way I doubt they make it. Its going to be Colts or Houston in the one wild card and Raiders taking the other.

I do get what you mean but judging by a lot of the comments in this thread a lot of you expect Botts to make magically make guys like Sobotka and Okposo disappear.

There is a difference in that one team dominated those same teams. The Bills had to come from behind in most of the same games. The one question I have is why wait til the Miami game to finally be aggressive with the play calling. The defense blitzed more then they normally do and the offense didn't sit back in the second half. IMO the Bills need to stay aggressive if they are going to make the playoffs. They play teams with winning records and this season they haven't done well against winning teams yet.

Not recently they aren't as successful but so far this season they have played better. Its an improvement and as long as they are battling for a playoff spot all season then I will call it a successful season. Next year they will have some of the bad contracts off the books and will be able to add more. Adding Cozens next season will be a big help.

I disagree that Botts is lazy and sitting on his hands. I think he did a great job in rebuilding the defense this offseason with his trades to get Montour and Miller. Its going to take time to fix this. As far as Okposo goes, there really isn't much they can do about it other then scratch him. No other team will take on his contact unless you give them a draft pick to go with it. Yeah yesterday was a bad game but I think they will do fine. They will challenge for a playoff spot all season and next season I see a big step. Some of these players will be off the books and I expect Thompson and Cozens to be here to fix the offense. I realize most of you are tired of not making the playoffs and want immediate results. Trading guys like Okposo and Sobotka isn't easy cause you either give up draft picks or take on equal salary back. There is no point as odds are those players won't be much better. You all BILLieve in the "TRUST THE PROCESS" for the Bills but yet want instant results for the Sabres.

Its great Allen had a good game but if the Bills want to make the playoffs he needs to play like this the rest of the way. It would go along way to proving he is the guy. Allen is going up against some of the better defenses in the league so I want to see if he can play as good.

I am fine that he doesn't love football. Wish they would talk more about the Sabres. Seems the only time you here them talk about the Sabres is days where they play. I realize most of you have no interest in hockey. I don't know why? Eichel had 5 goals over the weekend and the Sabres went 1-1. All they will talk about is Allen and the Bills.

Don't need a QB change but how about calling plays that fit his strength. Let him use his legs to his advantage. The faster they let him loose and see what they have the better. His short game may have gotten better but his playmaking ability and long ball have regressed. IMO Allen will never be a great pocket passer. He makes his best plays when he rolls out of the pocket and making plays on the run.

Minus the Garrett helmet stuff, I love the brawling. It's nice to see teams show some emotion and hatred for the other team. Hockey is really missing the big hits and fights.

I do see the difference. I was talking more about the brawl between the rest of the players. That's what is missing from hockey and football.

I'm guessing not many of you watch a lot of hockey. I remember when teams played their rivals there would be lots of fights and big hits.

I will agree that what Garrett did was bad and should be suspended. I love the brawl at the end of the game. The hatred towards other teams is what's missing in all sports.

This isn't the Rockpile days where you have years to learn the game. In today's NFL you need to win now. It doesn't take multiple years to rebuild. That's why I never understood why they drafted a project QB. Big Hands and a Rocket arm means nothing these days.

I see the Bills finishing 9-7 at best. Their offense is not good enough to win against good defenses. I see Allen regressing a lot in th second half of the season. If they lose to Miami, I am having doubts the playoffs are going to happen. I think it's going to be Pittsburgh and either Jacksonville or Oakland in that last spot.

It would be a big jump if he even gets to average as the Bills are going to be playing teams that have much better defense then what they have played. Patience can only be for so long, if the Bills fail to make the playoffs by next season I doubt it matters. They will be starting over again.
