THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Patriots Win Again

You are going to be waiting a long time for an explosive offense. I don't see them changing the way they play on offense. McDermott is too conservative for that too happen. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - December Football
Jrb1979 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. Its worked so far this season cause they have played a lot of teams with average or worse offense. Come the playoffs against KC or Houston I have my doubts it will work. You need to put up points the way the NFL is now. -
Week 15: Bills at Steelers on SNF

You're missing out as the Sabres are back to playing good hockey and have gone on a bit of a run to get to 2nd in their division. You are also such a big homer that you refuse to take an opinion that criticizes the Bills. -
Week 15: Bills at Steelers on SNF

What is so wrong with what he said? Allen and the offense hasn't looked very good against top defenses this season. They play 2 really good ones the next 2 weeks. That should be a bit worrisome for Bills fans. Guys like you are such big Bills homers in your rose colored glasses that all you see is 9-4 and refuse to see the flaws on this team. I bet you think every game is going to be a cakewalk. Just remember 9-4, 9-4, 9-4. That's all that matters. ? ^this guy. ? -
Maybe a little but the Ravens did a job of containing him. Allen isn't good enough at this point to overcome that. His deep ball is very incurrate and he doesn't read the defense good enough yet.
-
I know that's the definition and Allen hasn't looked very good against good defenses this season so far.
-
The past three games before the Ravens game were against teams whose defense wasn't very good. So far against the teams with good defenses he hasn't looked that great in them.
-
One of those things doesn't belong. Romo is a fantastic color guy. As far as radio vs tv goes. Its much better on tv as Murph is a terrible play by play man. The fact he gets over excited by the smallest plays drives me nuts. Last week Allen ran for 5 yards and the way he called it, you would think he ran for 30 yards. I can't stand the Tre-day Tre-day call either. He is just so over the top.

Bengals/Dolphins... Can either one beat the pats?
Jrb1979 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know it's different owners but they still have averaged 2 games at home in December since the Pegula's have taken over. December home games have always been a hard sell no matter how good the team has been. Why is it hard to believe that the Bills don't want many December home games? -
That's what I am afraid of. Allen has looked very good against the weaker defenses but so far against the better ones he has had his worst games. Allen is at his best when he moves around to make plays. When teams have made him stay in the pocket he has looked pretty bad. Til he learns to be a better pocket passer and picks up blitzes better nothing will change.

What did Flutie do that's so bad?

Them Sabres won again last night and are in a playoff spot. The Bills defense has been good but Allen wasn't good yesterday. Why can't you criticize his game? In case you didn't notice Allen didn't have a very good game. You keep looking through your rose colored glasses and keep saying 9-4 9-4 9-4.

The Bills would have more home games in December but the owners like more home games earlier in the season as they are an easier sell. Don't blame it on favoritism. Blame it on the fans for not filling the stadium in December. The game against the Jets isn't even sold out yet. -

I agree a dome is needed. The last game of the season isn't even sold out yet. -
Josh Allen - week FOURTEEN report card
Jrb1979 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills defense carried them to being that close in the game. Allen wasn't good. His deep ball is awful. I watch around the league and I see deep ball passes that completed quite often. Allen struggles with it. -

Fixed it for you. The Bills offense was awful starting with Allen. He has looked good against the weak teams but so far against teams with good defenses he has been bad. -

Fixed it for you. So far against the teams with good defenses he has played below average. That should be a cause for concern. These next 2 games he plays 2 good defenses. These games plus the Ravens game will show if Allen has really turned a corner. -

The Bills play 2 of their last 3 at home. There is no favoritism. From what I have heard the Bills want most of their home games early in the season as December games are a hard sell. Even yesterday for a meaningful game tickets on secondary market could be had for cheap. The last game of the season isn't sold out yet. A team on the verge of making the playoffs should have that game sold out weeks ago. That shows December is a hard sell in Buffalo and why they need a domed stadium. -
What's so shameful? We all should be happy with 9-4? Allen and the offense didn't have a good game. Its like you can't criticize the Bills and you have to be a big Homer like Murph is.

The problem is with almost all teams at the cap its hard to make any moves. I disagree that Botterill hasn't made any moves. He rebuilt the defense since the end of last season. If the UPL keeps playing like he has in the minors I can see him up with the Sabres by mid season. My question, since you seem to think this is NHL 20 and trades are easy to make, what would your plan be? So far there has been a couple of minor trades of bottom 6 players.

Will Bird Fans Infiltrate New Era?
Jrb1979 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reason I say limit season ticket sales is that a lot of out of towners seem to sell more games then they attend. I can see the Bills keeping an eye on ticket holders that resell a lot of their tickets. The Denver Broncos revoked a lot of tickets from season ticket holders cause they sold more then they went to. -

Fans like you are fine cause you go to almost all the home games. Its the ones who buy season tickets that go to 1 or 2 games and sell the rest are the ones that's the problem. -

The Bills best thing is to get a domed stadium for one. I think their biggest issue seems to be that a lot of season ticket holders are from out of town. The Bills would be best to make it so if you want season tickets you have to been in certain zip codes. Why should a guy who lives in Florida be allowed season tickets when you know the odds are they aren't going to many games a season. This also says a lot of how Buffalo fans can't afford a new stadium with higher prices. They can't sell out when the team is 9-3, then I don't see how they will sell out a new stadium.
