  1. He’s picked up our culture real quick 😅
  2. But… he’s an ex Panther
  3. Groot’s been “a step away” for three seasons now. He’s far from a liability, but he’s not a consistent threat and I’m unsure if he ever will be. Bernard has star power, but he’s already been banged up quite a bit in his young career. Kincaid is like.. I don’t even know if it’s him or us at this point. Guy has been polished and shown great hands, but we never seem to build a game plan around him. A young stud at TE should be capable of dominating multiple games if we use him right.
  4. In general I don’t think their drafts are littered with “better” overall players, but they’ve found multiple “blue chip” players that are capable of elevating the team around them — and we, for the most part, haven’t. They’ve got Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, McDuffie — if you even limit it to just those four, that’s four all-pro level players who instantly elevate both sides of the ball. The entire team “looks” better when you’ve got a couple of those types of players at multiple position groups. We’ve drafted Josh Allen. Tre and Milano could have been cornerstones if they’d have stayed healthy. Taron Johnson probably counts. We find plenty of good players, it’s the lack of top shelf talent where we fall short.
  5. I feel like it used to be easier to find a serviceable kicker in a pinch. We picked up Dan Carpenter off the scrap heap and he went on to have a few good years for us.
  6. I’m gonna laugh when he’s drawing plays on the screen mid-game about how to beat the other team’s scheme, and then the Raiders coaches start calling those plays afterwards 😂
  7. Schnowman takes probably a bit more flak than he deserves, but I think he’s the right answer to this question based on volume of production and consistent high level of play. Guys like Tre and Milano had probably a higher ceiling to hit, but injuries have derailed both of their trajectories, which is a massive shame.
  8. I can’t see Sean McD plugging in two unfamiliar bodies at wide receiver in the middle of the year. He’s a guy who wants his players well versed in the system (in theory anyway) and as it stands I wouldn’t even be shocked at all if Cooper doesn’t play a ton on Sunday. Making another move would be welcome, but it would be a big departure from the way McBeane has done things since they’ve arrived.
  9. He definitely has had a tendency to default to superhero mode too soon, going back to his early years. Part of that is on a front office and coaching staff that put him in a tough situation from the word “go”, throwing him to the wolves behind a bad line and with his “number one” receiver being Kelvin Benjamin’s corpse. Compared to the situation Mahomes had, learning for a year behind Alex Smith and having all world weapons like Kelce and Tyreek Hill, it’s night and day. The shame is that once a player gets into the habit of needing to be Superman, that’s a tough thing to break him out of.
  10. I’m equal parts horrified for you… and strangely aroused. 🤔
  11. I also trust your ex wife more than I trust Tyler Bass.
  12. Well, never gonna get those three hours back. 😅
  13. You know the refs are bad when Aikman if the voice of reason, fml…
  14. Way to kick the gimme touchback there lol 😂
  15. I don’t know what Kinlaw said to the ref, but I’m inclined to agree with it anyway.
  16. Lol both these teams blow chunks 😂 😂
  17. I’m shocked no penalty there. The play was clean, but I’m still shocked.
  18. Getting out played is not fun to watch, but it’s something you can live with. Watching them shoot themselves in the foot with bone headed decisions and play design set up to fail? It’s soul draining. We’re on year 8, the kinks should be well ironed out at this point in the McDermott process - but it’s clearly not.
  19. Lol referees can just turn a sack into a 15 yard first down with impunity any time they want to.
  20. Bass has to be gone before next game. It’s a shame but it is what it is.
  21. What’s the strategic advantage of rushing two there? They gave Rodgers all the time he needed to throw that.
  22. It’s sad as all hell, but I fully expected that Hail Mary to be caught after McD called that timeout. But watching it happen, even expecting it, was funny as hell. Rushing two was just a hilariously bad call there.
  23. Another defensive timeout well spent!! You can’t make this stuff up.
  24. Wow how did Allen duck under that sack?
