Confirmed: Moss benched after fumble
MJS replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's exactly what I called for after it happened. He did go back in later, I believe. I think he had a run for a loss. He was clearly down on that one, though. Wasn't even close. -
The josh haters are out in force today

His main argument of why he doesn't think the Bills could ever beat the Chiefs is because the Chiefs have more prime time games and he sees their highlights more often. Just wow. -
Yep. Are we going to start complaining about who we keep on the practice squad too? I mean, you aren't going to have a full roster of all pros.
-
Why? Why wouldn't you just use Smith? That's why he's on the team.

Chris and Mike, nice long take on Bills & Win
MJS replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm just feeling depressed because McDermott will never get us to the next level, you know? /s -
Last year, yes. This year, no. And the past couple of weeks he has about 30% of the offensive snaps. 25 snaps yesterday and 17 the week before. I mean, I don't really care if he stays or goes. He isn't critical in any fashion. But there's just no reason to be angry about him.
-
Dude, he is a blocker who occasionally runs a route. What's your problem? He's basically an olineman.
-
KC for sure. Have to worry about the division before anything else.
-
I'm totally fine with them losing. I just think it's silly to think that it means less to beat them undefeated than it is to beat them with one loss already. As if to say the Bills have some unfair advantage because of the extra motivation you get facing an unbeaten team (as if that's how our coach and players operate anyway...).

Playbooks staying and leaving with Daboll
MJS replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going to make the same comparison. Coordinators can certainly come in and run the same offense. And I would expect them to add their own perspective, own plays, and own wrinkles to the offense. I bet McDermott would make it clear that they are not willing to have a full change of offensive scheme. If Dorsey is the guy, that transition would be really easy. If they want to bring in a third party, it might be a little tougher because a lot of coordinators would want to run their own scheme. So it's up to McDermott to find a coordinator that is willing to work with the current system in place. -
Can someone explain QBR & Allen's 75.2% QBR vs. SF???
MJS replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody claimed the offense was good. We all just realized that it takes some time to add talent and coach up young guys like Allen. Meanwhile, we went to the playoffs two out of three years and fixed the cap. If you want to condemn the coaches and GM for offensive failures the past couple of seasons, go right ahead. It just is not a fair or logical way to look at it. The team was rebuilding. There was huge turnover. We had a young, extremely raw QB prospect. And other NFL coaches and GM's give ours a ton of credit and praise. And Flores for the Dolphins has openly said that he is using McDermott and Beane as an example and template for fixing the Dolphins. -

300 yards is not the meaningful threshold. The real number is like 200 to 220. Less than that and yes, you are limiting your team's ability to win. But I highly doubt that getting over 300 yards is equated with more winning than, say 250 yards. Seriously. Nick Mullens threw for 300 yards against us. He must be super awesome. Oh, and also two INT's, but who's counting? -
He is routinely suggested as a replacement for Daboll.

No. I don't excuse you. Now go root for the Pats. You would fit in well with their arrogant fan base. -
It's certainly nice to have some competent backups who can step up and play when needed. But I still want to see more from Bates. I've liked what I have seen whenever he is on the field. I guess you have been the Boettger advocate. I have been the Bates advocate. Honestly, I think both are good players.

Wow. I guess you should be coaching the team? Is that what you are trying to say? You should probably be GM too, I reckon. Maybe owner as well? -
Sorry, he still shanks them sometimes and sometimes out kicks the coverage. Hey, I'm a Bojo defender. He does need to be more consistent though.
-
It was a great punt too. Keep developing him. If he gets more consistent we'll have two of the strongest, best legs in the NFL.
-
He did, other than the 2nd QB sneak. I thought that was a bad decision. I also think Allen telegraphs the sneak a little too much. He seems to lean over the center more before taking the snap. If I noticed it, for sure opposing defenses have noticed. The other call I didn't like was running it on 2nd and goal from the 10 yard line. They picked up 2 or 3. I'd rather take an extra shot at the TD than pick up a couple meaningless yards. I think that was the drive we went for it on 4th down and got stuffed. But overall I really like how Daboll calls the games.
-
Oh yeah. I was really quick to condemn that pick. Such a horrible, horrible decision. Even if he turned out good it would have been a terrible pick.
-
I'm sure Sherman has a lot of respect for Allen after tonight. He got beat a ton, and had that PI against Diggs.
