Your complaint is giving him a contract thinking that he was a 3rd string QB. But he wasn't signed to be a 3rd string QB. That is alternate reality conceived in your mind with no basis in fact. He was signed to compete to start. That's a fact. Regardless of how he performed after signing the contract, he was initially signed to compete for a starting job. And Allen was supposed to sit and learn, which is a very common approach when drafting a QB.

You do realize that the rate of arrest is actually lower in the NFL than the general population, right (for players, at least, and most likely coaches too)? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nfl-arrests-study-idUSKCN0QU2EL20150825 https://www.cnn.com/2015/08/26/us/nfl-players-arrests-study/index.html Not saying that the NFL is full of angels, but we only hear about these things because of intense scrutiny. It overshadows all the players and coaches who don't have these issues.

Nope. Everything I said was accurate. You are the one trying to change history with your alternate reality. But keep laughing. I'm happy for you.

Ok, but this situation doesn't really have anything to do with the NFL. This kind of thing happens all the time to people outside the NFL. People driving impaired is a part of life. They are selfish and stupid. The fact that this particular selfish and stupid person happens to work in the NFL is not relevant to me. If he worked for Burger King we wouldn't even know about this incident.

This is a strange thing to cry about. But go ahead. Keep crying about a few million dollars spent trying to find a bridge QB 3 years ago. You usually complain about everything, so this is normal behavior.

McCarron got injured. That's why he didn't play game 3, which he would have started and gotten significant snaps in. It was a competition and it was widely speculated that he would win that competition. He was the highest paid QB on the team. The team expected him to start. But he didn't win the job so they shipped him off.

Are you trying to revise history? Absolutely they expected him to start. They expected him to play and for Allen to sit for a year. When Peterman outplayed him in camp and preseason, they traded him away. This is widely known and accepted. Are you trying to say that is not what happened? Nobody expected McCarron to play that season? Because that's false. People did expect him to play and start prior to the preseason. That's not even remotely true. AJ was seen by everyone as being superior to Peterman and expects him to start... until the preseason games happened and he clearly did not outperform anyone. Why would they even bring in AJ and have him take so many snaps in preseason and training camp if he was not a legitimate starting candidate?

Our very own Buffalo Bills, of course.

I do think that he would not get signed anywhere else. Gruden seems to love him. I doubt any other team would have interest.

He is just the whipping boy of late. I don't think fans really know what they are talking about with him. And he will not likely ever be switched to OLB.

They were expecting him to start...

Tyreek Hill impressed by Justin Zimmer

Seemed like he put in effort to me. -
That would be fun. I always liked Luck.

He isn't that good and hasn't been for years now. Nobody is willing to pay him, including the Bills. He keeps signing prove it deals and never proves anything. I am not in favor of signing him. And I never have been.

Most teams can't cover as well. And most teams won't get away with holding all game long.

Super Bowl LVI: Bills among favorites to hoist Lombardi Trophy

Packers and Bucs won't be there again, I don't think. -
OPINION: Mitch Trubisky should be Bills' backup quarterback

Well he won plenty of games as a starter. -
Martellus Bennett about the dark side of football
MJS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well that's his perspective, but I guarantee you not everyone feels the way he does. Each player's path to the NFL is different. We can't just say that all of them experienced it the same. Absolutely there are some dark things about football, and any other billion dollar industry. Making money often requires exploiting people. -
Cam Newton, NFL MVP. Does any team want him 2021?
MJS replied to Nihilarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was supremely gifted physically. I don't care for him, personally. I used to like him until I discovered how narcissistic he is. Those joint practices with the Panthers really made me dislike him with how cocky he was. And then he didn't even play the game. -
We stole their punter too.
