  1. Meh. The dude has a nice offense that seems to slow down when the weather is less than great. Not a great outlook for a franchise that may have to play road games outdoors in Buffalo, KC, Cincinnati, Cleveland, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or Denver come winter time. All that speed is great and is really fun and exciting to watch. But that offense isn't built for playoff/bad weather football and that's going to be their Achilles heal unless they get home field through the playoffs. I get that they made the playoffs twice, but he sits at an 0-2 playoff record, no division titles and a history of his team falling flat in the final weeks of the season. I would have been more inclined to have this be a "win something and we will extend you next off-season" type year. But, being a coach it's just money spent and doesn't really count against anything moving forward if they cut bait with him, so good for him I suppose.
  2. I heard a rumor that Milano tore his other bicep trying to open the package. Poor guy was only trying to play with himself 🤷🏼‍♂️
  3. Honestly, I think the argument could be made that Watson was so bad at times last season that the Browns don't make the playoffs if he didn't go out. Bengals lost Burrow and though they didn't make it, they stayed alive for a while. In both instances, the HC/OC did an awesome job of adjusting things. I don't know if I have that confidence in Brady quite yet. Hopefully, we don't have to find out if he can
  4. I see this roster as a 10 win team. Injuries and a bit of the ball bouncing the right or wrong way will determine a lot this year for them. This team could legitimately win 11 or 12. They could also end up with 8 or 9 wins depending on those factors. This year just seems way more wide open due to a lot of new faces in important spots.
  5. All this means is that when the defense looks good the usual voices here will say "Babich is amazing", while when he struggles the narrative will be "See, McD still has his fingerprints all over the D".
  6. That's not unreasonable as we are basically talking about teams potential on paper. I would have Buffalo ahead of Dallas. Cleveland, Miami, Texans, Detroit all like to load up on "name" talent. That doesn't always translate to wins. I went 5-8 option but I think on paper we are closer to 8 than 5 at this stage of the off-season. Once questions start getting answered (Coleman's immediate production, what the defense looks like, Milano's health returning, ect) we could slide up pretty good or potentially back a bit IMO.
  7. Allen likely has the better stat line as Diggs has a lot of competition for targets in Houston. He's no longer a centerpiece. As far as who wins the game, let me see an injury report and I'll have a better idea. Still don't really know how our defense is going to look with the new DC and new players. As of now, I'd probably be inclined to take the Bills but a key injury or 2 would likely change that pick
  8. All those dick mentions and not an honorable nod to Jauron. Odd.😂
  9. When I see an age discrepancy like this it makes me think that the dude is like my boss is with my paycheck. He'd go lower if it wasn't illegal.
  10. Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and 2 dozen wings. Best I'll get are the wings and Black Swan on DVD with extended scenes.
  11. Well, he has the Cowboys hostage, really. He has all the power in any renegotiated deal with them at this time, so it's really a smart move to (reportedly) ask for way over value in order to maximize what he sees. Dallas won't pay it and he'll be a FA most likely and (even though I don't feel he's worth it) will likely reset the QB market in FA. He's in a no lose situation here. Smart business.
  12. Here's the way I think about this topic. There's OJ Simpson. And then there's RB#32. Kind of like in an old Madden game when someone wouldn't grant their name and they just got that generic position/number name. OJ Simpson is on my Mt. SHUSHmore. RB#32 is on my Mt. Rushmore.
  13. We have all seen and many have debated who would be the 4 faces of the Buffalo Bills in a Mt. Rushmore of the team. I want to take the conversation in the opposite direction. If you were to make a Mt. Rushmore that featured your 4 least favorite all time members of the Bills franchise...who would they be and why? Was it their play on the field? Their personality rub you the wrong way? Bad experience meeting them in person? I'll add mine a little later as I don't want to influence the initial responses.
  14. When the war against machines starts...I'm attacking toasters with all my might. Smug little machines.
  15. Better question would be might he crack the top 10? Based on his only having 1 season of good performance....I'd say no.
  16. Keon Coleman's 40 is so slow that Matt Haack could punt the ball three times in the time it takes him to finish it
  17. Some really good ones mentioned. Let me add Rasul Douglas to that list. When he was traded to us players on the Packers raved about his leadership.
  18. I do. I don't think we trade for anyone unless it's a lower roster type player for player deal. But I can see him moving an OL guy for a 2026 6th or something. I think the next trade activity we would see from Beane would be near the deadline to cover for injuries or if a position group was flat out not working out
  19. All jokes aside, what a horrible choice. Guy didn't even play most of the year last year. Honestly, I would have liked to see Brock Purdy. That would have been cool to see him from Mr. Irrelevant to Madden cover in a few short seasons.
  20. I hear he and AJ Klein are sharing a Winnabego out in the parking lot. From what I understand its going to make one HECK of an episode of the mid season Hard Knocks.
  21. I agree, I would love to see that. If SVPG is the goods, I believe Dawkins-McGovern-SVPG-Torrence-Brown would be our best 5 on the OL. Problem is I'm thinking we as fans see it being more of a battle than it really is going to be. And this isn't a "McD doesn't play rookies" comment...but it's really rare for any 5th rounder to come in and unseat a vet so quickly in their rookie year. I think ultimately, we get 1 season of McGovern at C and then they let the battle hit next year (may change due to injury). But I'm looking forward to seeing how it actually plays out. I do think SVPG's best path to start this year may be the result of injury. If McGovern misses time or has to slide to guard to cover an injury and the rookie gets on the field I think he plays well enough to make it harder to take him off and put him back to the bench.
  22. I think Elam is going to surprise a lot of people this year. If he's healthy I expect him to lock down the #3 outside CB role at MINIMUM. Which is important because Benford has shown he gets banged up a bit. But I really think the "shock" of camp is going to be Elam winning CB2 role and Benford dropping to CB3.
  23. Tis be that time of year. Out with the old and in with the new. With new players come competition. There are several camp battles that are important and should occupy a good amount of talk over the summer. Some of them will be real battles that will determine who is still here week 1...and some will be the low roster message board darlings that fans think have a shot...but in reality are just trying to cling to a bottom roster/PS spot. The ones I'm watching closely : 1. IOL: While we see what the pieces are we have no idea how this puzzle comes together. It seems to be Edwards at LG and McGovern at C for this year. But can someone swoop in and take one of those spots? Who's left standing for depth? 2. Safety: Buffalo brought back Rapp and went out and signed Mike Edwards. Then drafted Bishop. And the potential of a Hyde return is lurking. But who earns those starting spots, who is that 3rd safety and do any of them earn the weekly 100% of the snaps most games that Hyde/Poyer had in years past? 3. PUNTER: One has already fallen as Haack is gone. But coming off a season that had some struggles Sam Martin shouldn't be locked in. He'll have to fend off UDFA Jack Browning, who the Bills signed. Personally, I'm rooting for Browning as he's the cheaper option that can handle kicking duties if needed during the course of a game. 4. ST/KR/PR: With the new kickoff rules in place I'm really looking forward to seeing how teams go about changing what they do here. I've already seen some articles that some teams are considering replacing their kicker on kickoffs due to the possibility of kickers being exposed to injury. There is also the thought process that it takes more than just straight line speed to return kicks now. More shifty and quick in space. So, what say you? What spots are you paying special attention to?
  24. Steve Tasker was a plus backup WR. He could have started for a few teams back then but was too valuable on ST. Dude could play. I'd throw Don Beebe in there as a good backup player as well.
  25. Yeah, that's low for a guy with 80 career starts a C and graded out just below middle of the pack at the position. The only thing I can think of is that he was cut by the Panthers and had offset language in that contract. Would be roughly the same as why the Steelers were able to get Russ Wilson at about the same cap hit. Not positive but it seems likely to me that's the case.
