Chase was determined to draw that unsportsmanlike flag there. I suppose he just wants to win more than anyone else, right?
-
In a one on one comparison of his position, I'd agree there's an obvious downgrade. However, 2 games both over 30 points and it allowing the offense to evolve a bit and be less predictable, Id say the offense as a while is better without him.

Tre getting murderized out there...Poyer looked older and slower Thursday...as tough as it was seeing the fan favorites pushed aside in the off-season...looks to be a good call by Beane.

I kinda wanted to see Russ Wilson vs the Broncos Revenge game. But between Nix and Fields whatever the combination pass yards bet was...take the under.

Personally, if he wants to play, let him play. It's always easy to sit back and make decisions like this for someone else. But we don't see his brain scans, don't know what he's physically going through post concussion wise or anything like that. If Tua was my kid this is what I'd tell him. Forget about all the "gotta be there for your team" nonsense. Go see the doctor. Then go see another one. Then go see a third. And just because you can afford it, go see a fourth. Get all the information you need to make a decision from as many independent doctors as you can. Don't listen to the media. Detach from the team for a few weeks. Then make that decision.

It's not abnormal. McDermott has a bad rep for being too conservative and at one point it wasn't unwarranted. In his first 2 or 3 seasons McDermott played the field position game. A lot. But that was with a roster that boasted a young and very rough around the edges Josh Allen at QB. Kelvin Benjamin as the WR1. Guys like Mike Tolbert and Chris Ivory at RB. Not a great OL. McDermott has been good at making decisions based on the team he's coaching. As the offense got stronger/better players he's been very aggressive.

I do think Brady streamlined the amount of routes that were up to both the QB and WR to read the same thing and have the option of what route to run. Far too often last year we clearly saw that Davis and Josh were not on the same page.

Guy just signed a contract for something like $160M guaranteed. Why do regular hard working folks have such a fetish for giving money to millionaires?
-
Van Ginkle was a heck of a player for them too. Big loss. Miami has done what Miami always does. They trade draft picks and big FA money on big names. OBJ signing is a good example. Guy is pretty washed, doesn't really seem to blend with what they do and way more costly then a comparable player. But he has name recognition. The Dolphins aren't so much a cohesive team as they are a collection of talented players. And there's a big difference.

Dang it, I was hoping for more letter grades that would cheese people off.😂

Will Miami start taking calls on Hill?
BuffaloBillyG replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
It would take an owner that likes to make big splashes, needs WR help and would think he's the missing piece to a Super Bowl run. He's not getting traded, but if I had to guess who would make the call with an offer...Dallas is my bet. -

Way early to think about. But for the sake of argument, I believe Brady has had a couple HC interviews already in the past. I'd say that indicates he's already bon the NFL Head Coach radar.

Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course today's players want to have a coach that doesn't feel like a "boss". They want coaches that treat them with respect and take an interest in them. There also needs to be a line that says "I'm in charge here." Do you honestly think Andy Reid walks into the Chiefs locker room and says "Hello, fellow employees! Here's to another day of being equals?" Absolutely freaking not. You can be the boss without being a hard ass Bill Parcels type. But in order to do that, it needs to be earned through results. As far as McDaniel, I don't think he's a very good coach at all. I think he's a great play designer. But the last 2 seasons have shown what kind of a coach and leader he is. He's a coach that has his team spiral late in the season. He's a coach that has trouble beating good teams. It's all fun and games when they can beat up on poor teams. But come crunch time he is what I said...a guy that can't coach his team to wins when it matters. -
Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread

I just listened to it. One thing he kept doing that irked me was he kept referring to Tua as his "teammate". And that's been what a major part of the issue in Miami has been. If this guy doesn't even see himself as "the boss" or being in charge I HIGHLY doubt those players do, either. The ship is rudderless in Miami. They don't have a coach, they have a buddy that's likely more concerned about being "one of the guys" for the first time in his life than being a "leader of men". In short, he's exactly the type of fella that they put a chair next to the bed in hotel rooms for. -

Week 2, Bills v. Fish, GAME BALLS!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tonight was a total team win. Sure, there were a few standouts like Ingram, Cook and Oliver. But tonight was about everyone doing their 1/11th and putting a great game plan in action. As a result, I give gameballs to the whole team, coaching staff and the fans that made their way down to do their part. Even without the Tua injury, a beat down like this on their own field, on national TV may have ended the Dolphins season already. This was a total kill shot type game. -

If they keep running the ball we'll and playing smart solid defense, Josh Allen should win the MVP this year. That's just how it works....Right? -

Down 21 late in the 4th and they're still using Achane as a workhorse playing on an injured ankle. No reason to keep their best offensive player in at this point. Poor player management. -
