  1. Flacco is so slow Beane wanted to spend the 33rd pick of a draft on him...
  2. 🚨🚨🚨TRADE ALERT🚨🚨🚨 THE DENVER BRONCOS AND NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS HAVE AGREED TO A TRADE. THE BRONCOS RECEIVE PICKS 38 (2nd Rd) PICK 69 AND 106 PATRIOTS RECEIVED PICK 20. With the 20th pick in the draft, the New England Patriots select: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas We are elated to add Golden, who we believe to be the Top WR prospect in this draft to our WR room. Another pick to add a weapon for our young QB. We love Golden's speed as a match for Maye and a nice counter balance to the route running and underneath play Diggs will offer. We feel we got 2 of the most explosive playmakers in this draft with Golden and our first pick Jeanty. We are committed to giving Maye every opportunity to take steps forward and now feel with Maye, Jeanty and Golden we have a "big 3" on offense on rookie deals for the next few years. We had to give up a bit, but will likely focus on OL with what we have left. The Pittsburgh Steelers and @Ralonzoare on the clock
  3. Agreed and very good comparison to Vinny's last few years. Great work if you can find it. The Flacco vs Pickett QB battle is going to be a real thrill ride for Browns fans.
  4. It amazes me this guy is still kicking around the league at 39. And it amazes me he still finds teams where he can potentially start at some point in the season. He's really cracked the code on his to have longevity in the league and exploit the lack of QB talent League wide into parlaying that into a nice career for himself. Good for him...but the factory of sadness continues to pump out mass produced years of 💩 at the QB position.
  5. I'm pretty sure I've seen photos of Jordan Poyer on those retreats when he was with the Bills.
  6. Bills have been showing interest in kickers in the draft. Not sure if that may indicate the new ST coach sees something in Bass he doesn't like or what...but if the Bills are really interested in a new kicker, Gay may be an option. He was part of the Rams Super Bowl team that Beane has poached a lot of guys from.
  7. Funny, because one did on draft day. Unless you conducted a poll on the question you literally have no way of knowing that. Gibbs has been more productive in Ben Johnson's system. That's a fact. I'll give you that. But in terms of skill and what they are capable of, I would say it's much closer that what numbers show. That can be your opinion and that's cool. But it doesn't make it fact.
  8. Argument could be made for Bijon over Gibbs a couple years back. I personally think Bijon is better, but the Lions use Gibbs better being the difference. Still, only takes one team to decide they gotta have him.
  9. I'd say he's going top 2. 3-5 is likely worst case scenario for him. In order to get Hunter you're looking at getting ahead of Cleveland or making them an offer that's so insanely in their favor they have to do it. We're talking 1st and at least both 2nds this year and likely the 1 and a two or 3 next year. Just not worth the investment.
  10. I saw this message and my brain registered it "I'd love a good massage" and it made the prospective bet even more interesting...
  11. That was my thinking. I wanted Hunter or Carter. Them both going top 3 left me with wanting to trade down and hopefully end up with a WR like Golden or Tet while getting extra picks. With no offers, I just took the top player on the board. I'm happy the way it turned out because it helps Maye in the long run not to have to be a "Josh Allen" where everything is on his shoulders. In the real draft this could be a spot where I see the Raiders, Saints or Bears moving up to get ahead of the others for Jeanty. Bears have the ammo to do it easily. Pats may end up doing well in this spot depending on who is willing to give up what to get ahead of the others.
  12. With the 4th pick in the NFL Draft the New England Patriots select: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise St. I normally dislike taking a RB this high. But as pointed out in mock draft 1.0 there are 3 blue chip players in this draft. Hunter and Carter are gone so we will snag the third one. While we do have Rhamondre Stevenson, he was benched several times last year for fumble issues. He coughed up the ball 7 times last year. We can't have that. Jeanty is an elite runner who can split wide and is a dynamic playmaker. Our new coach is very used to having a dominant run game and this will help take some of the pressure off Maye in year two. Both by improving the run game and providing him with a playmaking target in the pass game. @BigdaddyinOrlandorepresenting the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock
  13. Yeah I don't see Hunter going first here changing much in this draft. Good chance in the real draft those are the first two off the board anyway.
  14. Even if he's suspended it won't be for as long as if he did something truly horrible like gamble or have PEDS in his supplements No. I think Hill is just a serial abuser that has never had to face consequences. And is generally praised and looked up to because of what he does in the field. Honesty if I'm timelining it it's more of an OJ Simpson vibe. Diggs is the WR that gives me Antonio Brown vibes.
  15. Patriots are open for business. Willing to slide down from the 4 pick, unless our guy is there. Willing to work out parameters ahead of time in the name of speedier transition of picks so the Mock draft doesn't get delayed during offers.
  16. Patriots Jets Dolphins
  17. Yeah, he didn't look great last year in Atlanta. But isn't this exactly the kind of guy Howie Roseman goes out and signs to a cheap deal only to see him bounce back and play at an All-Pro level for a year or two? No risk it, no biscuit. If he's open to a contract without much guaranteed cash, bring him on.
  18. Kind of hoping we see a lot of road games in the opening 6 weeks. Pretty soft looking road schedule. I'd take Panthers, Falcons and Browns early. Maybe sprinkle in a Dolphin or Pats road game in that window. All winnable even with the suspensions IMO. Fill that in with a Saints and one division home games and I'd call that about best case scenario.
  19. Clueless is not realizing that teams do this year in and year out. Especially early when they are trying to figure out what they have. Scaling Cook back early is smart as it will keep him for fresher later in the year. It gives the Bills a chance to evaluate Davis as a lead back. It gives the Bills a chance to see what they have and what they need before making any kind of hard line decisions about Cooks future. You know, a MASTER STRATEGY that teams have used in the past. As for the bolded, it's funny how you used his past stats and it's cool. I say what he did in a larger sample size and can't have that. Would be nice to know if it was a fluke season or this is who he is now before paying him. Indeed. Don't quit your day job.
  20. And 4 rushing TDs in his career prior to that. Him being phased out of the plan if the Bills feel or Cook is set on this being his final year in Buffalo makes a lot of sense. Let Davis start to find his groove. As far as trading him for a 3rd, you said that. Not me. And even if that's the return....better to get a higher 3rd than a comp pick at the end of the round....and that's even if the offer he signs qualifies that high. It may be a 4th. Depending on what the Bills do in FA the following year it may not be anything. Giants and Titans ended up with no comp pick from losing Barkley and Henry respectively. A bird in the hand so to speak. I agree. I'd definitely pick up a RB early day 3 to compete with Gore Jr. Keep the RB pipeline full. If he's there grabbing. Trevor ETN is a guy I like.
  21. Problem with this comparison is those guys you mentioned all played..what...30-40 years ago? Defensive players are soooo much bigger, stronger and faster now. Much more violent of a collision.
  22. Just read this on another site. It sounds agent driven, so there's a lot to take with a grain of salt here, but my gut is telling me Cook is going to end up seeing his usage scaled back even more as Buffalo can (especially early in the year) see what a backfield of Ray Davis/Ty Johnson looks like. This would potentially make Cook tradable at the deadline if the Davis led backfield doesn't have a significant drop off.
  23. Would be great to lock him down for another 3 or 4 years. Has been one of the better FA signings we have had over the years. His ability to play G or C at a high level is helpful especially if SVGP develops into a starter at C. Good problem to have
  24. So has Kaiir Elam. Doesn't mean I wanna bring Elam back and trot him out there.
  25. I like the player. Hate the injury. If history tells us anything, he won't be real useful most of this season.
