  1. It's clear that the league is trying hard to get all games in, but it's impossible to guarantee it. The league also doesn't seem to have any love for the notion of adding weeks on the the end of the regular season, but when push comes to shove, something is going to have to give.
  2. Second lowest. The Denver Broncos are worse. The Bills are sixth best in pass blocking.
  3. He's got some speed and he knows the system, but there is presumably a reason he hasn't been with the team for a while. Hope it works out.
  4. Tennessee ordinarily uses a fullback as a blocker in a lot of plays, but their starting fullback may not be available due to injury. If the Titans are using a fullback as per their usual practice, going with 3 linebackers is a no brainer, but it changes things if he's not in that much. They're shorthanded on WRs too, so that may mean we'll see a lot of 2 tight end sets. That would mean using the three linebackers and 4 DBs. The availability of Tre White also has a potential impact on what Buffalo can do. If White is out, I would expect Norman to be on AJ Brown. Norman is pretty slow for a CB, but fortunately AJ Brown is also on the slow side. Brown is strong and physical, but so is Norman, so it looks like it will be strength against strength at WR. When it comes to the opponent's run game, Coach Frazier keeps harping on gap integrity. If it is as simple as that, containing Derrick Henry is more a matter of discipline than anything else. We'll see.
  5. LOL. Well, if you had to pick between using Tyrod for a game in which you were comfortably ahead and a game where you are behind with at least a chance to come back, you might pick him for the former.
  6. Ken was like the coolest guy ever. He got married while in seminary and his wife had to feed him about 4,000 calories a day so he could just maintain his weight. He was a bout 6'3" and maybe 160. He has a veteran and his career goal in ministry was to become a military chaplain.
  7. A week from Tuesday, Buffalo can be #1 and in control.
  8. Tyrod is a QB you'd love to have if you had a 2 touchdown lead. If you were two touchdowns behind and wanted a chance to win, Fitzpatrick is your guy. He might toss a pick or two while trying, but he's not afraid to try.
  9. I had a friend in seminary from Mer - vul. He loved to play bluegrass on his guitar and he could mimic a bunch of old time stars from Grand Old Opry. And he loved goats milk.
  10. I think so, but it costs more to repeat a franchise designation.
  11. It was time, really past time. It was no longer working in Atlanta, and the coach and GM have had more than enough time to fix it, and failed.
  12. I'm a lot happier about a Monday evening game with KC than a Sunday afternoon event. The time advantage for KC was just too much in a Sunday afternoon game. At least Buffalo will be able to get three full practices in between Tuesday night and Monday at dinner time. KC showed they can be beaten. Buffalo is not going to be intimidated.
  13. I think it's clear that the Bills can play with anybody this year. However, it is important to remember that the greatest teams can also lose to anybody if they get careless and start to believe their own hype.
  14. Cancelation/forfeit If the game does happen, Buffalo 33 - Tennessee 23.
  15. If the Titans game happens, it creates a disadvantage for the Bills versus the Chiefs. It the game does not happen on Tuesday, whatever the league does will be unfair to somebody. If the Titans forfeit, it is unfair to the teams that are competing against the Bills for a playoff spot, the Patriots in the AFC East title race or the wild card race if Buffalo loses the AFC championship race. If a week or two is added to the end of the season to accommodate postponed games then some teams will be disadvantaged for having to play when future opponents get a bye to rest up and or some teams may pay a price by having to wait too long between games, thereby accumulating some rust and losing a bit of their edge.
  16. I do think the league should institute double testing. The test they're using gives results the next day and is allegedly very accurate. There is a very inexpensive test available that is fairly accurate and gives results in a few minutes. If they use both on every player and staff person every day, they will catch most cases immediately, before they have a chance to infect others. Then if there are any others, they will at least catch them the next day.
  17. According to Buffalo Rumblings, it was a coach. Of course, the test was taken yesterday with results becoming available this morning. The Titans facility was open yesterday so said coach was presumably around players and . . .
  18. The Titans are going to play the victim in this game. "It's us against the rest of the league now. Let's show them." In turn, I think Buffalo can draw motivation from the fact that the Titans' flaunting of the league protocol for COVID has put Buffalo at a disadvantage in their game with the Chiefs. Whether the teams actually think like that, I don't know, but I might if I were in their respective shoes. Anyway, I think the Bills need to be ready for some extra intensity from the Titans and need to respond in kind. Bills 27 - Titans 20 The Titans will practice today and tomorrow. I imagine they'll do a walk through on Monday. I don't remember if they got any practice sessions in between having to shut down. Then they also had their illegal workouts.
  19. Give opposing coaches the right to name four Titans players who have to sit for their game.
  20. Pre draft criticisms of DK Metcalf were similar to doubts about Gabriel Davis. He didn't run a full route tree. all he did was go deep. The differences were Metcalf was bigger, much faster and went to a bigger school, but it shows scouts have to do more study than learn what kind of route tree the guy ran in college. I love What Gabe Davis has done, but Metcalf has the potential to be another Megatron. Still, I don't spend too much time worrying about what might have been.
  21. I presume either forfeit or just canceled, but cancelling carries its own can of worms. Someone had said, the league would have to resort to figuring win percentages, but it seems like if Buffalo were to end up having to depend on getting a wild card berth to get into the playoffs, there would be great potential for them getting screwed. Moving the playoffs back to play the Titans at the end of the season may not be an option because the league has a reserved date for the venue for the Super Bowl that may not may not be movable. The league is definitely being backed into a corner with relatively few options.
