  1. Hate to be a pessimist but New England is gonna mop the garden with us.
  2. I hope they try Merriman & Moats on the outside next game. We need a little more pass pressure.
  3. I'm going out on a limb and stating the #1 reason the Bills had any success in the early 90s was due to one man: Bill Polian. I'd never question Levy's experience or sincerity, but I think the Bills went to four Super Bowls in spite of Levy, not because of him. Between Polian's deals and Ted Marchibroda's offensive schemes, the Bills were great. I think Levy did just enough to keep the team focused for success. A great coach (Don Shula, Bill Parcells, i.e.,) would have done even better things with that group of players. What's my point? I don't put Marv Levy on a pedestal like some fans. I think Levy, without the aid of Bill Polian, set this team back a few years with his second stint decision making. Buddy Nix might not be the next Polian, but he's certainly better than what we've had lately.
  4. I'm up here in Vancouver, WA and I'll be flying down to Dallas to meet my dad at the game.
  5. Born in Buffalo in 64. Moved to TX in 77, then back to Buffalo in 90. Was at the comeback game against Houston in Jan 93. Left in 95 back to TX. Been living in Vancouver, WA since 06. Been a Bills fan since 88. The Bills backers bar in Portland, OR is pretty good.
  6. What was the history of this delish dish?
  7. Add to that a stud TE and solid deep-threat receiver, and you have the makings of a pretty good team next year.
  8. Personally, I think we should've kept Lynch and not drafted Spiller. Not to knock the kid but we needed more help on the D-line than we did at RB. I don't know if this falls on Gailey's shoulders but hopefully next draft, we get Chan some better talent to work with on defense.
  9. The only way to build a good team is with a good GM and scouting staff. See Bill Polian, Scott Pioli,........
  10. For me, it is a toss-up between the Houston Oilers comeback game of '93 and the division winning in '90 against Miami. I was there for both.
  11. Put Spiller on the roster as a WR in place of Hardy.
  12. Preach on! I look at every starting position on this team and ask myself, "Who would I want from the rest of the league to start in place of _____?" The only guys on this team that I would keep as starters if I could pick from the entire NFL is Moorman, Byrd, Wood, and maybe Lindell. That's it. I'll cut the rookies some slack since this is their first real game but the rest can go pound sand.
  13. I can't believe Edwards hasn't been more successful than he has, considering all the talent he's been surrounded with.
  14. or David Klingler, Dave Brown, Tommy Maddox, Jim Druckenmiller, Daunte Culpepper, Cade McNown, Chad Pennington, Micheal Vick, Todd Marinovich, Dan McGwire, Rich Campbell, Kelly Stouffer, Jeff George, Patrick Ramsey, Alex Smith..........
  15. I think that since this is Chan's first HC job in 11 years, he'll want to make a good impression. I expect him to put the best players we have into the most favorable position to win. If that means Trent is the starter, so be it. I am reserving judgement until the end of September. If we can go 2-2 in that month, I think this team has possibilities.
  16. I wasn't accusing you of hanging out around the gym. I was merely quoting from the movie Airplane, like a few of the previous posters did. "Lighten up, Francis" was also a quote from Stripes.
