  1. I don't see Lynch having the same fumblitis problems that Henry had. Now, the big question is: Will Shawn Nelson be the next Jay Riemersma?
  2. Bottom line: out of the league too long, wasn't that great to begin with, and would draw too much negative attention. We could use a more capable backup to Trent (our present & future) but not him.
  3. My two cents: On the one hand, there is too much insensitivity in the world and on the other, people are offended by the slightest remark. I don't think there is anything wrong with jokes unless they are intending to be mean spirited. Example: What do you call a bouncer at a gay bar? A flamethrower. To me, it's just a manipulation of slang terms to create an already existing word and is not intended to be mean-spirited. In conclusion, I feel jokes are fine as long as their intention isn't to be denegrating.
  4. I remember leaving after the game from the tunnel side endzone and by the time I got to the parking lot, one of the uprights was coming over the visitor side upper deck. It was fandemonium!
  5. If the Bills do sign him and he passes his physical, he would probably man the LT spot. So how would our offensive line look? Jones - Levitre - Hangartner - Wood - Walker? Were does that leave Butler?
  6. I knew Jeff Wright. I was the DJ at Club Diamond Dust (now Rick's Tally-Ho)on Genesee & Transit from '91-93 and he would frequent the place after road games. He had a thing for this dancer named Cheri. Anyways, I met him and he seemed like a cool guy. I remember asking him how bad did it hurt when he dislocated his kneecap? He said it went numb after a couple of minutes. Must have been the shot they gave him on the field. We could sure use him now next to Stroud.
  7. One overlooked aspect of the K-Gun's success was running the counter trey, Thurman's bread & butter. I think we may have not only intelligent linemen, but also the kind that can pull quick enough. And while I'm on the subject of offense, let's see some more screen plays. We've got backs that can catch.
  8. Our LT getting beat by a speed rusher outside because of the deep drop of the QB may have more to do with the interior of our line getting pushed back into the QB's face. Hopefully, our new additions will help alleviate the chronic problem.
  9. This year's draft may yield some talent, finally (blind squirrel, meet nut), but it's tough to make up for some previous blunders.
  10. Not a sexy pick but a badly needed one, especially having to go up against Wilfork and Jenkins four times a year. All we need is for the interior of the pocket to not collapse for Edwards and we'll be better off.
  11. Avalon Hill, eh? Try this link: Titan
  12. I'm over 40, have been married almost 10 years, and still like to play games. If my wife gives me any grief about it, I just smack her right in the eye and tell her "Go fix me a turkey pot pie!" Then, I apologize to her later and buy her something nice. Works every time.
  13. Has it occurred to anyone that maybe most players don't want to come play for Buffalo?
  14. I'm good with Freddy as starter and X-mon as backup. Maybe we could coax Carwell Gardner out of retirement...
  15. I'm not imagining anything. He wants to be the highest paid LT in the league. Considering he started out as a project and was probably paid accordingly, I think he's just trying to recoup what he thought was lost potential income. Welcome to the real world, Jason. Perform consistently for a duration and eventually you'll be compensated. Look at Thomas Vanek of the Sabres. He was underpaid but kept playing and didn't threaten to holdout. Eventually, he got a nice contract offer.
  16. My whole beef with the Peter's thing is this: he is under contract. Forget all the crap about "What's his value to the o-line?" & "How much money should he be paid?". Yada, yada, yada... He was only in the second year of a five year contract. At least get your greedy ass into camp, help your team, and increase your visual value by trying to look like a good guy/team player. He got bit with the selfish bug for two reasons. First, he made the pro-bowl the year before (deservedly so) and second, Dockery was way overpaid which made Peters resentful. I agree that Jason should be paid more but not as the highest LT in the league and not for pulling the crap that he's doing. If he doesn't want to play ball, then sit for the season, you selfish bastard.
  17. First off, I don't think he's all that at LT. He may be the best we currently have (although, I think Walker filled in admirably the first two games) but compared to other left tackles around the league, he's maybe in the top 10. Secondly, if he pulls this contract bullsleet now, who's to say he won't do it again two seasons from now (see Bruce Smith). I say, trade him off to Philly and get one of their 1st round picks. Considering this guy was an undrafted FA and was paid close to minimum for his first few years, I think the Bills have already gotten their money's worth.
  18. To all Bills fans: Enough with the freaking Mort bashing! Even if he has a grudge against the Bills, let him enjoy it by himself. Jesus H. Christ in a pawnshop! If you don't like what he's saying, don't listen. If you don't like onions on your hamburger, don't order them. Tim, any chance the Bills try to move up in the 1st round to grab the best defensive end? I think LDE is probably our weakest spot on the team at the moment. Thanks.
  19. and some people are beating Sarah Silverman's drum. Sarah ditches Jimmy
