The win you want most right now
Peace Frog replied to fishgrappler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want to win the next game, whichever one that is. Oh, looks like it's the Cowboys game. That's the one I want to win. -
Bills @ Cowboys, Thanksgiving Day - 4:30

Watching the game at my friend's house in Oregon. He's smoking a turkey on the Traeger and I'm making some Buffalo Turkey Wings. -
10 - Execution - Hearing McClappy talk about the teams opportunities mainly coming from lack of execution has always seemed like a blow off response in his dry post-game press conferences. As the Bills have now put two back to back solid games, I can now see what he meant. Yes, the coaches have done a great job making tweaks to their scheme. But more importantly, you can see that they are still relatively running the same type of plays, but the the players are executing at a much higher level. I almost want to throw up saying it, but it makes sense now and I think we are finally seeing the team that McD envisioned for us. I feel as confident in this team as I have in the past few years. It's not about the record of the teams we've played against, it's about how we've put them away and executed the plays called on the field. The defense is communicating well, Allen is finding the right reads, we can run hurry up or ground and pound. McD has Frazier and Daboll in the right spots and this team is playing like a family. I don't know how the next 3 games will go, but I expect to see a competitive team out there playing their style of football. I like that we hurry up to the line to prevent defensive substitutions, then have Josh take his time and read the defense pre-snap, all while chewing up the clock.

What Was The Worst Thing About Today's Loss?
Peace Frog replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear you, H B F; there were too many things. I guess the thing that drove me the most insane was how on several occasions, Chubb would take the handoff and only after 4 or 5 Bills players and a couple of Browns players were dragged/pushed forward for an addition 7 or 8 yards would he actually be tackled. It looked like Chubb had half a dozen secret servicemen hurrying him to a limo or something. This happened at least 5 or 6 times during the game, IIRC. Absolutely, puke-inducing poor play on our part. I can't wait to see what we're going to look like against Ezekiel Elliott or Mark Ingram II/Lamar Jackson. Oy! -
Vote on what you thought was the one thing most responsible for today's embarrassing loss to the Browns.

Bills at Browns Pre-Game thread
Peace Frog replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either a desperate Browns team is going to blow us out or we're going to smack them down. If it is a close game, I think either team could win it. -
All they have to do is win the next game. That's it! Rut-row, looks like Aussie Joe was confused by my statement. I'll clarify it. The Bills only have to worry about the next game. Just win the next game and everything will take care of itself. Who cares about the game in week 11 or the road game at the Paytoilets. Just worry about the one this weekend coming up.

Something else that's been driving me nuts about our offense. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen Josh Allen and his hard count cadence call for the ball to be snapped after the 3rd hut. I don't know if he's trying to get the defense to jump offside or what but it's not only predictable, it's not working. I think only 2 or 3 times during the game did the ball get snapped on the first or second hut. All of the other times, it was on the third call, like clockwork.

How do we fix the run defense?
Peace Frog replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From the mouths of babes... My dear wife, who watches the games with me only because she loves me (I believe), said something before, during one of our games. It was along the lines of "How come the other team's players look bigger than ours?" to which I replied "That's because the opponent's O-linemen are usually bigger than our D-linemen." to which she replied "I guess, but their D-linemen look bigger than our O-linemen, too." Checkmate. -

Time to put up or shut up. Go Bills! -
With the way the Paytoilets defense is playing, I'd be surprised if Lamar finishes the game without getting hurt. We shall see.

I'm in the PDX/Vancouver area. I moved to Camas back in '06 and love it out here. Also, they don't have Buffalo fish frys out here (obviously) but the best halibut fish & chips AND best clam chowder I've found is at The Original Halibuts in north Portland.
