  1. In a 12-team league and sitting in first place, thanks in large part to having Josh Allen and Cooper Kupp. But Josh Allen is on Bye (as we all know) and so is Cooper Kupp 😥. Currently, I have Jared Goff in at QB, but I do NOT love his matchup (at Dallas). That said, Goff has actually been an excellent fantasy QB this season, with the exception of his previous game in which he posted under 6 points against the Pats. And you RARELY see a QB post consecutive single digit performances in fantasy; they typically seem to bounce back from them. So here's the question: Who do I start at QB? Do I stick with Jared Goff @ Dallas? Keep in mind, I was very fortunate to face the last place team in the league on Allen/Kupp's bye, so I really just want a guy that I can count on for 15+. Meaning, I'm looking for the highest floor out of all my options. OR do I pick up one of these FA QBs: 1a. Ryan Tannehill vs. Indy -- With the exception of the Bills in Week 2, he's a guy that you can probably count on to at least do something. Probably the safest choice to end up in the 15-20 point range of all my options here. 1b. Davis Mills vs. LV Raiders -- I know, I know. When has Mills done anything in fantasy this year? This one is ALL about the matchup though. According to Yahoo, the Raiders defense is the #1 BEST matchup for quarterbacks in the NFL, right now. That's why he is my "1b". 2. Jacoby Brissett at Baltimore -- Has been surprisingly solid/consistent at the QB position this season. And drawing a favorable matchup in Baltimore. However, there seems to be a forecast of rain, and the Browns already love to run, so this gives them even more of a reason to pound the rock. 3. Kenny Pickett at Miami -- Just putting it out there. Has a good matchup, but that's about it. Please help me out!!
  2. I didn't really want OBJ in Buffalo tbh, but ever since watching the Kelce's comments in the podcast/interview, I really want him in Buffalo just so he ISN'T in KC. Anyone else feel this way too? 🤣
  3. I don’t disagree. That quote I posted was meant as a joke. McKenzie said it during one of the off-season episodes of Embedded. The context was how he can “do it all” or something like that. However, I would also say McKenzie has a higher ceiling than Beasley. Problem is, he is also more mistake prone. And when the only thing that can slow down our offense IS our own mistakes, I would definitely take stability over big play ability and I am excited to see what Shakir can give us in the slot.
  4. “You ever seen Isaiah McKenzie vs the Patriots?” -Isaiah McKenzie
  5. Will be interesting to watch Trent McDuffie. Sounds like he is playing this weekend for the first time since Week 1(?) Does he make their secondary better? Sounds like he had a really good off-season, then got hurt in Week 1, I believe. It's also interesting because I think he was the guy most of us thought the Bills would draft at corner, and most mocks had him going to Bills.
  6. This would be a good time for a Top 10 highlight reel. Especially Ever since he learned to throw the deep ball, Allen has had so many ridiculous throws I’ve lost track.
  7. Yeah, but we did have everyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if we are more banged up right now than we were in the previous three seasons combined.
  8. As far as Knox, did he even have a hammy yesterday? Wasn't he just listed with "foot" on Wed? If so, what is up with all these hamstring injuries in practice this season 🤦‍♂️
  9. Tremaine Edmunds.... man WTF
  10. guess that could only mean he hurt it in practice?
  11. Phillips finally able to start practicing again after hamstring injury, so Tremaine goes down with the same thing. Ugh. Seems to be one step forward one step back with injuries this year……
  12. DT Justin Zimmer and CB Jordan Miller signed to PS DT CJ Brewer and DT Prince Emili released (sorry if already posted)
  13. Usually involves being harassed by TJ watt though. They’re not the same without him
  14. The BEST thing is... I did that reverse psychology bet thing and bet on the Ravens (since many of us Bills fans are convinced that we bring bad luck to the team), but I got in the line when it was Bills -3.5 before it went down to -3 where it was for the majority of the week, so Bills win AND I won. Love it.
  15. Man... Can never have something good without having something to worry about this year (Poyer). Everything comes at a price lol. That said, I'll still take it. First dang 1-score win in forever... and SHAKIR looked great!
  16. I have a feeling Ed plays, but with our injury luck at certain positions lately, it’s wise to keep an extra DT on-hand.
  17. "Stay ready so you don't have to be ready" my a$$
  18. Did I just hear Mcdermott say Xavier Rhodes has a hamstring injury??? Already? WTF. Well, that was completely pointless, if true.
  19. The discussion about "who did we miss the most" and "who do we need back the most" is actually very interesting, because if you look at practically EVERY reason the Dolphins won (besides the Bills missing every opportunity of their own) it involves the BACKUPS. Center mis-handling exchanges leading to 10 points Backup DBs giving up bomb to Waddle on 3rd and 22 leading to 7 points Lack of a pass rush for the first time all season Unable to defend run at goal line It's pretty clear that "next man up" seems to work when you are missing one or two pieces, but when you're missing as many as we were, it's a recipe for disaster and Allen WILL have to put the team on his back every single time with very little margin for error.
  20. I would imagine there are teams with depth at corner that is likely more valuable than our options in the FA pool. It doesn't necessarily have to be a "superstar". But I'm also just saying, make it a top priority to explore the possibilities, even if there are ultimately no options to choose from.
  21. At what point do we make a serious push to trade draft capital for some secondary help? I'm not sure if our opportunity will ever be as good as it is this year, and rather than allow some injuries make us worse, we should be doing everything possible to make a trade that will not only replace Benford and/or Hyde, but upgrade our secondary on top of it. If it is at all possible, you do that instead of promoting someone off PS or signing players that didn't make anyone's roster and hoping you found a diamond in the rough. Part of what made this team the Super Bowl favorite is being one of the few teams in the NFL that has a top tier offense AND defense. With all these injuries as it stands right now, I'd argue that our defense is still good, but no longer top tier. The Rams don't win the super bowl last year without their mid-season trades / acquisitions.
  22. My 5-year-old son - who was born the same day we hired Sean Mcdermott (1/11/17) and the same year we ended the playoff drought - announced the Bills were going to lose in the 1st quarter, when they were up 7-0. He probably did this.
  23. Morse and the safeties about equal to me. Both took points off the board. I think if it were Poyer and Jaquan it would’ve played out different. Just not sure about Hamlin. that said, I won’t pretend I haven’t seen the Bills give up inexplicable third and long plays numerous times even with Hyde and Poyer both in there. Despite having a great defense, seems to be something that happens much more than it should
  24. the strange thing about it is - just the season before - we were WINNING those same close games. if I remember correctly (and maybe I’m not), it was our defense that let down in a lot of the close games last season, and Allen couldn’t do anything from the sidelines. but today, that was obviously not the case.
  25. definitely paints a target on their back, like NE last year. And like NE, we will probably WANT to see them in playoffs too. Just hope we can stay healthy. We should be able to stack W’s after the bye…. But I’m a tad bit concerned about how we will be looking going into the bye, both record-wise and injury-wise. Ravens, Steelers, chiefs… those are gonna be 3 more very physical games. Smh. I know this might sound good to anyone right now, because we all want to be 5-1 going into that bye, but I’d be plenty satisfied with 4-2 / 2-1 over the next 3……. Just with knowing what our schedule looks like coming out of the Bye unfortunately, Miami’s schedule is a lot more vanilla tho (imo) so we need the Bengals to take care of biz (I think at home?)
