I think it just more evidence Ryan Poles isnt good at his job. Gave up a 2nd for Claypool then less than a year later moved him for a 6th. Essentially traded a 2nd and 7th round pick for a 6th lol. Then traded another 2nd for a guy who averages 8.5 sacks a year with no contract control after this season. But refuses to take draft picks for a guy he likely wont have after this season. If I am the Bears owner no way I let this guy make the draft pick this year.

Its because people have spent a month convincing themselves we were getting Davante Adams, Deandre Hopkins, or Derrick Henry. They get played by writers who dont seem to think Rasul Douglas will command clicks.

They didnt just give up a 3rd, they received a 5th back. They also get contract control for this year and next. This isnt Madden you cant just wish a Patrick Surtain trade into existence. The asking price for Surtain according to ESPN was more than the Jaguars got for Ramsey which was 2 1sts and a 4th. They werent giving up two 1sts for someone they would likely have to pay like the top CB in the league after next year. Bottom line is the guy wasnt available.

This is correct. In trade value they gave up a 4th for Douglas straight up.

Byrd had the best ball skills and its not incredibly close. It's a lot harder to say with Byrd and Edgerson as overall players because they werent actively keeping tackle and sack stats back then. Outside of those two my list would be: Nate Odomes Tre'Davious White Nate Clements Antoine Winfield Terrence McGee Stephon Gilmore Personally feel like Winfield really made his name as a Viking. 21 of his 27 career interceptions came as part of the Vikings. Also feel like Stephon GIlmore was grossly over rated as a Bill. Ball skills were good, but never felt like he added anything much in the run game. Tre had a good shot to be the best but injuries have destroyed his career especially the last three years. Likely he has played his last down for us.

Giants had to get a nice return to eat 13.5 million dollars worth of dead money. Kind of glad the Bills didnt go after him as I dont see him as a true 1 Tech. Wish the Giants had more talent on their roster as they obviously need to stock up on draft picks to try and get a QB.

Late to the game here but I dont think Purdy should of played today. I also dont know why the NFL has a concussion spotter when a guy in recovery from one grabs his head after a hit and no one keeps him from trotting back out for the next play.

The only way you sell at the trade deadline at 5-3 is if you dont have a franchise QB. Teams with franchise QBs are in it until they are legitimately eliminated from playoff contention. The Bills would look like total idiots to be moving any players of substance right now. If they want to move Kaiir Elam, be my guest, but they shouldnt be trimming salary for draft hopes.
