Completely disagree. The Rodgers move was akin to our move with Von. They signed an aging star to try and put a patch on a problem. They gave Rodgers a huge contract, and then immediately restructured to sign Dalvin Frickin Cook. They cant void his contract until 2026 when he is 43 years old, and even then they will be paying him an average of 13 million dollars a year on their cap to be retired. Rodgers will be a part of their cap until 2028 when he is 45 years old. Both Saleh and Douglas should have been fired on the spot when it became apparent Zach Wilson was a bust. Instead the owner allowed them to keep making awful decisions, including signing Aaron Rodgers who essentially became their GM because he has them over a barrel. That is not how good organizations are run. The only way to have sustained success in the league is to find a GM who can evaluate college QBs well and couple them with a coach who can get moderate success out a team if you dont have one. The Jets have neither element right now.

Usually I'd support the team on this one, but they've benched him three times in three years. Its not a good look for him not to step up in this situation, but he is playing for a coach and GM who are 15-31 and seem to skirt a lot of blame. Someone on WGR said no team will touch him after this. I disagree Marcus Mariota left a team without notice last year and still has a job this year. The best part of the entire situation is to get rid of the kid the Jets have to eat 6-11 million dollars in salary.

I got home from a road trip at around 1pm yesterday. I turned on football, and immediately thought, nah. Maybe it's because I think the Bills need to win out to have a legitimate playoff shot, or its the madness of the last two seasons, but I just dont feel like watching football. The refs play into this. They've been horrible this season. The actual on field play has been awful, and if an underdog actually hits a good play, I know its coming back because of a hold. I dont recall a season where the on field product has been this bad.

And yet they've driven the ball down the field consistently. Green Bays offense has been non stop and KC is still only down 8. Mainly because Green Bay doesn't have a spy on Mahomes.

Here's a guy who you can hardly defend. Watching him can really take you from 6 to midnight.

Again, I am not sure they can cut him without putting themselves over the cap. They will need to work with the league to see if they can suspend him without pay for the rest of the year with cause.

They likely cant cut him without going over the cap. I am not a sky is falling guy but even cutting him in the offseason will add 17.5 million dollars of dead cap to a team that is already 42 million over the cap.

A couple things here. The Miller signing is quickly becoming the worst signing in Bills history. The only logical way to help his cap hit next year was to restructure, given his play and now this in no way can you do that now. You cant trade him because no one will want him. You cant cut him until 2025. Secondly, and probably the most pertinent thing here...why in the heck is the writer of the article mentioning anything about him being a star in the league? Just state he plays for the Bills, there is no reason at all to say how good he is at something given the content of the actual piece.

Appreciate it brother. Hadnt seen that in the past. As much as I think Jones isnt the best guy he's done a pretty good job with the Cowboys considering he wasnt always a football guy.

Watch out for Frank Smith of the Dolphins if Tom Telesco is allowed to hire another Coach. Has some roots with Telesco and the Chargers.

Right, but his UFA status is based on a void year. He has three void years built into his contract. They can either pay the cap hits the void years create, or add that money back as part of resigning him. If they dont make an offer his status is UFA, but he will have cap hits for three years running if he isnt resigned in the offseason. If they can find someone to trade for him as a salary dump they can save over $17 million dollars next offseason. To do that they'd likely have to send Von and a high pick to a team willing to take on the money. Otherwise they cant cut him without major cap implications until 2025.

Doesnt seem like he's had a terrible season but he is on the verge of 31 and is a headcase. Better off rolling with what we have.

My kid went to football camp with his son. He happened to walk up and stand next to me while the kids were doing drills. I chatted with him for a few minutes. Didnt find him unapproachable or intense. Then again I wasnt asking him for an autograph, a picture, or why he doesnt win games in overtime. Tend to find if you treat people like human beings there isnt an issue.
