He had 400 more total yards, and 5 more total touchdowns than the guy who won it last year. Think about that, he had more yards and touchdowns than the guy who won it last year, and didnt even make the pro-bowl. If you're looking for Allen to win an MVP when he cant even get in the pro-bowl with 44 total touchdowns, you may as well just come to the realization his chance of winning an MVP are minute as best. Overrated my butt. Amazingly underrated.

Weather for Opener Tailgate and Game
thenorthremembers replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like the chance of rain for the game is minimal. I am considering taking my son to his first regular season game. -
Shouldnt be a massive concern with any team. Each year is a different year in sports.

People in the comments said the daughter had a lot of nerve using that as an obituary for her mother as she was a piece of work herself. Apparently the daughter had gotten engaged to a guy who was accused of killing two children

New uniform and helmet in 2025?
thenorthremembers replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not sure they were talking about a new home and away design. I am pretty sure they were talking about having a new alternate design. The NFL will allow all teams to have a third helmet design beginning in 2025. So I think the assumption or "rumor" here is you may see a new alternate uniform and helmet as opposed to all reds with the current helmet. -

I am a big guy, if its not a bench, I usually stand as much as possible. -
For a team to be successful everyone has to buy in and pull in the same direction. Diggs is a hell of a football player but he is also mentally fragile. He treats teams like a spoiled kid with a new toy. Overjoyed by it for a little while and then in the garbage with it when he is bored. Somehow the guy is proud he forced his way off two teams.

Not sure how I feel about the obituary but the comments have all the feel of a 20/20 episode.

The Athletic Survey: Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson?
thenorthremembers replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Article conveniently leaves out that Allen has more passing touchdowns than Lamar has total touchdowns in his career. Last time I looked scoring touchdowns wins games. Lamar average 1.7 a game where Allen averages 2.3. Are we really going to use MVPs as a legitimate stat to compare QB play? Yes, Lamar is better because he gets more votes from a bunch of writers who likely dont understand the actual game of football. Lamar took a nice step forward as a passer last year, but if you actually watch both of them play its obvious how much better Allen is. There is only one player in the entire NFL better than Allen and his names Mahomes. -
Agreed. He really didnt see the field much as a Viking, so maybe its a case of not being given a chance because he didnt mesh with coaching staff. He is an absolute burner athletically. Odd he was knocked for his size. Pretty much what you look for in a Safety. Was it because he is tall and maybe too thin?

Brandon Aiyuk officially requests a trade
thenorthremembers replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know you're being sarcastic but kind of a novel idea. I looked and didnt see anything. But I wonder if the NFL has rules against fans "donating" money to NFL players? Particularly free agents? NCAA does it. America's entire political system is built on it. -
Iron Claw should have been a good movie, Oscar worthy movie. The story wrote itself. Instead, we got some sort of over acted, saccharine redemption story attempt. They needed to let the story breathe a bit and not suffocate it with big name stars. The casting, story development, and acting were horrible. Dont get me started on having 5'7 inch actors playing 6'2 inch people. They didnt pay any respect to who the Von Erich's were in real life. It was the first movie I'd seen in the theatres since 2016 and it was a massive disappointment.

Beane signs the free agents too.

Did Deon Cain get cut? -
What are you trading for? Meaning, what about him is worth a draft pick? He hasnt been productive. He wasnt overly athletic coming out of Alabama. He's not big or fast. Not to mention serious health concerns. If he gets cut and you want to take a flyer on him fine, but no way do I give up a pick for him.

I had a conversation with McDermott when both our kids were at Kelly Camp a few years ago. He is in good shape but I am a good deal larger than him both from a height and weight standpoint. All depends how quickly I can get hands on him.
